Perhaps it’s the facelift, but this GT4 looks so much more aggressive than its predecessor, and it just works.

No Name the exhaust seems like an afterthought, that’s for sure. And I think with the front fascia they were trying to mimic the styling of the later model GT3, but there are some elements that could use a redesign
Frederick Jackson thats true. I also think that a gt car should not look aggressive. It should look happy and playful. Like a toycar. This is also the reason i dont like boring colors on them. ;) they need brigh, loud, fancy ones. Green, blue, red, yellow..
No Name that’s fair too. I find the subtlety in design for GT cars - smooth lines, curves, etc. - brings out the elegance of the car, and since GTs are typically practical, it’s probably best if the overall looks are subdued

@D H Which is way too fast and ruins the feel of a manual box. A great car, ruined by too high gearing which is typical Porsche to stop it from being better than a 911

400hp + manual gearbox is all you really need to have a safe , fun driving experience. Anything above that horsepower figure is like asking for trouble.

This Cayman is too expensive in compare to Challenger Hellcat Widebody. And not looking as good as Challenger. So? Maybe for Porsche fans. For track driving is better to buy used formula monopost.

i dont think most people's complaints are that they're annoying. i think most of the time what i see is that people criticize them for not going into very much technical detail and saying the same things over and over again. i can see where they're coming from, however i think that thestraightpipes still make very entertaining videos that offer a unique style. also, all reviewers have a formula and "repeat themselves" in some way or another.

Well I'd say it's a mini gt3 rs and I love the fact that it only comes with a manual transmission.
To bad you can only use 2 gears.
It comes with a dual clutch too, its an option that not many choose though

Having just garaged my GT4, I’m curious- why does *not a single reviewer* dig the fact that city driving in 2 gears is handy. Ripping roads & tracks are great in this ratio. Running second on tight canyons is perfect. Running third on sweepers is perfect. It’s like driving a velvet knife. Anywhere.
I think cause shifting is the fun part of having a manual
@@TheStraightPipes True- having had an STi, I liked the switch from 2/3, and how common it was, but this thing is a different beast. I like being able to wind the gear out, and let the linear progression roll out...

The 911 is an icon, but breaks my neck every time I see it on the road. I saw one yesterday in this color & it’s like damn it looks so good. The modern Porsche design style is something else

I sold my 2016 GT4 to obtain a 2020 Cayman Spyder as I missed our former 2009 Boxster S. I love the power however dislike the manual convertible top. So far the car has been great with 600 km on the dial. Keep up the great work men.

I recently went to road Atlanta and watched the Gt3 RS and listening to the cayman up shifting really reminds me of the gt3’s

The seats can be reclined by buying an aftermarket bracket kit. Very annoying to have to do, but on my GT3 it made a huge difference in seat comfort and room for a helmet.
Always loved the Cayman. And this one is beautiful!

I believe the absolute sweet spot would be the Cayman/Boxster GTS 4.0 specially if the majority of the driving will be on the street. On the track I would think a really experienced driver would benefit from the additions the GT4 brings. Thanks for the video guys! For the price the C8 is a really tough contender to beat specially in the US. In Europe not so much as it will be quite expensive here
The Cayman platform is magic. I had a chance to drive one in the Rockies and it felt like a magnet was keeping me on the road. 911 has a different feel to it , more wild. I wonder if the older 911s would feel better without the Turbos tbh.

That’s totally a track car I don’t think if I had the money for that I would get one to use as a daily driver but great review as always guys!!! Love the track stuff for sure I also wanted to say that you guys have with out the coolest job ever by far driving really cool cars on a daily basses I hope you guys keep them coming for a very long time much love from London Ontario!!!
To each their own. I have daily driven multiple Z06's, M3 on coilovers, currently the SS 1LE. Track focused cars car be daily driven. Depends on individual tastes. I love driving something special, even if it is just to the grocery store.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like the 718 models (and boxers/Caymans in general) are missing something important that the 911 has always had, maybe the heritage or the classic shape.
I think they're missing that 911 design language, but they are more similar to the classic 911s of old than the current 911 is.
718 needs the back lights that 992 2020 has

I really don’t understand why you’re hating so much on the Spyder .. it’s basically the same car and actually much more special if you think of that there’s no other open top GT car except the Speedster. (And maybe Carrera GT and 918 Spyder). Compared to the GT4 where there are tons and tons of new and old GT3’s, GT3 RS, GT2 etc.. if you don’t like convertibles in general why hate on the Spyder? There’s nothing wrong with the car.. I’m pretty sure the spec your test car had is a part of your criticism.. The Spyder needs bucket seats as well, as it’s a hard core Roadster and not a Cruiser. The GT4 had a much better configuration
The roof is a pain to deal with compared to the Speedster, along with everything else we said in both videos about why we prefer the Cayman
