- In this video, we install what turns out to be the brightest headlights and taillights we have seen for the 5th gen Toyota 4Runner! These things are ridiculously bright! Our favorite features on these lights will have to be the sequential signals and the amber DRL feature.

Just installed these headlights with the amber drl and man do they totally change the look of the 4Runner. Absolutely amazing and worth the money. They are expensive but worth it imo. Other drls like the alpharex get lost in the daytime sunlight and you can barely tell they are on when the sun is shining but these are just insanely bright, not just the drl but also the low beams. Also installed morimoto XB LED fog lights and the tailights. Got them all during the Labor Day sale and saved a bunch of money. Morimoto sent the fog lights FOR FREE since I said 4runner lifestyle and other websites had the free set of 4banger fog lights with purchase of the headlights and asked if they could match that offer with the xb led fog lights and surprisingly they said no problem. All of these lights look so good.
The Morimoto’s were here two months before my wife’s 2020 AG TRD Pro. Absolutely love them. The stock Toyota lights are trash🤷♂️😬
I put these and the Morimoto rear tail lights on my 17' 4Runner TRD Off Road. They look great!!

I’m running gen2 Morimotos with the white DRLs on my my 5th gen ORP. They look great with the blacked out chrome, the low beams are 100% better than the OEM headlights and the DRLs are so bright you can almost drive with them alone. My only disappointment is that it brights don’t seem that much brighter than the lows.
Agreed but the low beam is so bright that it makes up for it
If Alpharex makes their DRL amber too, I would cop a pair!

I also want to see the Morimotos compared to the AlphaRex Novas. I prefer the AlphaRex's design a bit more because of their DRL and 4 projector design. But I want to see the brightness and beam patterns compared between the two for sure.
We can definitely do that, we’ll try to do it when we get a 4Runner with Novas in
Alpha rex is trash honestly. Its not a legitimate headlight. Basically a flood light with a cutoff. The morimotos arent the best, but they are a much better product than anything alpharex.

@@subieguy00 only if you have the 2021 with leds oem on all trims. Most of us have the stock trash halogens in the headlights and fogs that’s been on the 4Runners for a decade and they are def way worse than alpharex and definitly way worse than Morimoto or anything else honestly. I have a 2018 and the halogen output is the worst. Sometimes my fiancé tells me to turn my headlights on. They are so bad she doesn’t even know they are on haha. And someone did a review comparing the stock 2021 led to the morimotos and the morimotos are 30 percent brighter than the stock 2021 leds. So they are def better. But I’d say 2021 oem leds are better than alpharex.

I got these installed on my 2020 4Runner by a shop but the turn signal just blinks normally, not sequential like shown in your video. Do you have to wire it differently? Thanks

Hey guys, great video. Which fuse did you plug into? I would like my DLRs to come on at all times, but as I have them wired, i have to put the switch on DLR. Is there a way to change them to always on? Thanks again.
Tail lights look awesome. I know the Morimoto 1st Gen tail lights aren't for everybody, but I rather imitate a Land Rover Defender than a Ford Explorer. Nothing wrong with Fords. I just don't like that look.
AlphaRex [PRO-Series] Jet Black For 2021 4Runner Switchback DRL/Sequential Signal LED Tube Dual Projector Headlights. Does this fit to 2022 4Runner limited please? Thank you and appreciated
It will fit but getting the PRO Series is a downgrade because it uses a halogen bulb instead of LED like on your 2022

can you post a video on how you adjust these. i have trouble with that for some damn odd reason >> and i have tried several times. maybe im just a dumb ass
There is a screw that you use a Phillips to adjust up and down
Outdoor, nighttime “light beam” comparisons from stock to any other lights would be nice.
You need to manually adjust your beams since you lifted your truck. There’s some videos on here that have the correct measurements.

You have to adjust your headlights pretty much every time you replace your headlights, especially if you have a lift. Like the other two gents were saying, you have to adjust them so they aren’t pointing so high. It’s just a screw on the headlights. We can make a video of doing this, we thought it was common sense to adjust the headlights. But thanks for the feedback on improving our videos 👍
Awesome video! Random question if you have time to answer it. I bought a 3rd gen Tacoma with a 6-inch Lift on it already is there anyway I can go back down to a 3-inch lift? Does anyone know

If you have a drop bracket kit on it then unfortunately not.
Is the flickering on the DRL because of the video or does that actually happen?
Flickering is on screen only.

Have you had any issues with these since you've installed them? I've been hearing horror stories about flickering issues but I believe that's from the first generation. Did they work out all the kinks with these? Thanks!

Backlight blinds other drivers. Headlight is a somewhat of sports car or street design
This is an off road truck. We need led with proper off road design. I prefer the design of the oem but with led.
