Just installed these on my 21 ORP. Quick note to anyone with radar cruise control: there are 2 10mm bolts that you need to remove to take off the bumper. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out why my bumper wouldn't come off and thought I was going to break it lol. Disconnect the radar and pop out the 2 clips holding the cables to the frame and you'll be good to go. Also, if you have LED fogs, you disconnect the single clip that's held in place with a white locking piece. I originally unplugged the cable connected to the driver side fog light, but that cable is secured to the frame. Both fog lights are connected to the big clip that's close to the fender liner.

Nice headlights for the 4Rs that need them. I took ownership of a '22 TRD ORP and it has LED high AND lo with LED fog lamps. When I go to work at 530 in the morning the low LEDs burn bright and allow me to see everything. I'm almost embarrassed to think oncoming traffic is blinded when I have the lows on because it is so bright. When I turn on the high beams and on auto, forget about not seeing that buck in the ditch. When the highs are on in the country they turn off sometimes because the light reflecting off of the road signs reflects back to the sensor turning them off, but only very briefly and until the angle of reflection has changed. Both hi and low settings are extremely bright. I won't change them. I looked at the Morimoto sequential tail lights and they are very nice!
Yes, as long as it turns on and off with the vehicle. Some fuses are hot fuses which means the lights will randomly turn on even when the engine is off.
I didn’t think the stock ones were that bad but wow are these way better lol. The startup and the turn signal are a nice added feature. When we get our 4Runner, we’re upgrading to these!
Great Video because it showed both the halogen vs Morimoto XB lux results. It would be great to see the same approach for the for F150. the halogen vs the SV4 and H11

good morning I want to resolve a question regarding the morimoto XB of my 4Runner The 3 lights are always on, but I see that they should only be 2 and (3 only in high light)
Where do you recommend plugging in the drl harness on a 2020 4runner? The injector fuse on the 2020 is in a different location and when plugged in won't allow you to cover the fuse cover.
You will want to throw that on an ignition on fuse, so that would be anything that comes on with the vehicle key turning on. I would recommend going with something like your dash lights, or the fuel pump fuse, bbut anything that comes on with that ignition will be good to tap into! If you have any more trouble with finding a fuse, shoot us an email and we will get you taken care of!
Hi. Thinking of buying these. I already have those 3 LED raptor lights hooked up to the INJ fuse slot. Is there another fuse slot I can tap into? I have a 17 Pro if it matters.
Only my driver side sequential works. The passenger side just blinks normally, anyone know what the problem can be. I used the plug provided and connected it to the fuse box.

@@HeadlightRevolution I believe they are asking about snow build-up here, LED's aren't known to output a lot of HEAT, causing snow build up on the lens of the headlight. Do these Lights produce any heat to them that will keep snow from building up on the lens of the Headlights?

It is a touch decision, but honestly a no-brainer for us here! The Morimoto's are just brighter all around, and come with that amazing 5-year warranty! Not to mention that they also have matching fog lights to go with those headlights and taillights!🔥
I did the install, the guide (step 9) does not reference swapping over the OEM brackets to the Morimoto's. Is this part optional or is it something that Headlight Revolution decided to do?
I forgot to swap mine. They still install and fit perfectly. Weather sealed.. No issues on my end. I think the brackets do ensure the bumper snaps back into place though.
You should use the bracket on the XB headlights as well. Reduces the vibration and stabilizes the headlight for long term durability. Don’t need any rattles from a subwoofer messing up the lights over time!
Yes they are different. They are smaller and in an awkward position. Because of this, if you managed to put it there, you wont be able to close the fuse box with the cover. I tried putting a raptor lights and intended to use the same fuse box. I ended up using the fuse box in the driver's side inside the truck.

When are you going to release XB headlights for the 2010-2013 4runner?!! I have the XB headlights on my 2015 Tundra and I love them. I cannot find any company the makes aftermarket LED headlights for the 2010-2013 4runner. The only real possibility that I have found for my 4runner is doing a retrofit. I just want a quality made product that is not being assembled in a garage.... MORIMOTO NEEDS TO STEP IN AND SWOOP THE MARKET ON THE 2010-2013 4RUNNER!!! No one else has done it!
I'm guessing they've fixed all of the defects in these now? I was SO PISSED when I bought the (I Assume) Gen 1's from you all last May and the perimeter edge DRL's failed within 3 days. Ultimately I returned them and went with your full set of SV.4's and they are fantastic.

I have a 2021 TRD Off Road Premium 4 runner coming in to the dealership within a month. The low beams are LED but I believe everything else is not. Is the Morimoto compatible with the 2021? Is it worth it or should I just change the bulbs? Thanks!
LED bulbs in an aftermarket reflector or projector wouldn't even be worth the time testing, they'll never compare to a headlight made with specific parts such as an LED projector like the XBs have.
If you're driving in inclement weather, you should ideally be using your fog lights to illuminate foreground lighting. That being said, a yellow fog light would be hugely beneficial during a snow storm.
Looking to get these, but I see reviews that claim the plastic used is cheaper quality than OEM and is prone to yellowing. Do these use a similar plastic to OEM?
This is not true at all with these headlights, with some of the cheaper headlights out there you might see that! These are OEM quality headlights, you will not have anything like that happening to them! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Glad that you could get that install done so quick! For the fuse, you can tap that into the fuse EFI #2 in the same fuse box as the first fuse. Let us know if you have any trouble with anything!
If you already put a fuse in there, or it came with a fuse, then you will want to replace the 10amp fuse that is not aligned directly with the fuse tap prongs with the stock fuse. I live in Colorado, what is the typical install cost for these. I would not feel confortable pulling my bumper off and remembering where all the parts go back on. I could do it, but my toolbox is not equipped with some of the cool tools

I've got the raptor grill lights installed in the 10A INJ fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay. Do you know if there's an alternate fuse I could install the morimoto lights in?
The XB LED Headlights fuse tap is just for the DRLs, so you could install this on any fuse that comes on with the ignition, such as gauge cluster lights, dash lights, or even engine fuses that come on with the ignition! Shoot us an email if you need any help with that! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com

You will have to make sure you have the Gen 2 version of that headlight, and thenit should just work when you power up the vehicle! I am not 100% sure on when you use the auto-start feature, as the factory headlight might do something different when you use that auto-start feature. Just installed my gen 2 headlights and looks great. I’m having trouble with the passenger side headlight as the startup sequence and DTRL doesn’t turn on. HOWEVER the actual night time light works. Is this something to do with the fuse? I have a 2020 so it’s different.
That is so odd, I am so sorry to hear you are having this issue! I will now have you check the DRL connector, those pins can sometimes be crushed to the sides, so you will just have to straighten that pin and try again! Let us know what you come up with, and we will go from there!
@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks, I checked and the pins are fine. So I noticed in the DRL setting one DRL is on and it's as bright as it's supposed to be. Switch to night lights, and the both DRLs are on but slightly (noticeable) dimmer than the solo DRL. Btw I don't have automatic lights.
@@jessicabailey4708 Sorry I'm just now seeing this. A pin inside the black and yellow connector was bent (I believe on the cable that runs from the fuse box to the lights). Had to bend it back and it worked!

Not sure on that honestly, youwould have to reach out to a shop to qute headligt install. They install the same as the OEM headlights and fog lights, so the shop book time would be the same for a regular headlight replacement!
You probably have them installed by now already. Next time in all honesty try to DYI your next project. There’s so much resources on UA-cam and forums with plenty of community to help and support you various things that there’s no reason to pay someone to do it. You get that great feeling of accomplishment when you complete it yourself and you learn more of the in and outs of your own vehicle in the end. I pushed this on my wife in our early years which she initially hatEd, but now she appreciates the knowledge she’s gotten from it. Saved her a lot of money as well doing her own basic maintenance and not getting screwed over by a shop just cause she’s female and appears to be an “easy target”. We now work on our own cars and race to see who gets things done faster. I’ll admit she’s faster at changing the oil than I am nowadays 😭
@@ryuujiryuu9961 I did the install myself. Tail as turn conversion and all interior LEDs too. Delegating it to a shop wasn't about know how, it was about taking the time to do it. My time is worth something to me. Sometimes I would rather pay someone, while I get to spend that time doing other things besides turning a wrench.
Theyusually come pretty well pre-adjusted, but if you have to aim that that is super easy to do! They will have the same adjuster screws like the OEM headlights, and you can turn them to move the headlight beam up and down!

Curious what the side projection looks like (corners near the vehicle). That’s the Achilles heel of every single aftermarket headlight I’ve seen so far. Alpharex Pros and Luxxes do a little better (still haven’t seen anything about the Novas). But so far, it’s an issue that these companies haven’t dealt with yet. As for the new xBs, we can only hope they’re better in all respects than the Gen 1. People were having failures with those left, right, and center
I bought the 1st gen. Massive shake on on bulbes and the drl lost 1 diode with the first week. I just lost another one yesterday on the driver side. Their quality control is bad. Now I see this version 2. My God its infuriating because these were so expensive.

You cannot switch between white and amber for DRL.

Only certain models at this time! There are no bulbs that can be replaced!

I upgraded all my lights to LED..55w Hid low beam from GTR..which is brighter?..Las fit on my turn signals..
Although the HIDs will be very bright, these XB LED housings will get you more usable light output with those projectors!

I live in Colorado, what is the typical install cost for these. I would not feel confortable pulling my bumper off and remembering where all the parts go back on. I could do it, but my toolbox is not equipped with some of the cool tools

I've got the raptor grill lights installed in the 10A INJ fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay. Do you know if there's an alternate fuse I could install the morimoto lights in?
The XB LED Headlights fuse tap is just for the DRLs, so you could install this on any fuse that comes on with the ignition, such as gauge cluster lights, dash lights, or even engine fuses that come on with the ignition! Shoot us an email if you need any help with that! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com

There isn't, this would reduce light output and that's the main point of these!
How do I make that sequence happen when I start my car if the key is remote?
You will have to make sure you have the Gen 2 version of that headlight, and thenit should just work when you power up the vehicle! I am not 100% sure on when you use the auto-start feature, as the factory headlight might do something different when you use that auto-start feature. Sorry I couldnt be of more help here, let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!

There is a screw towards the inside edge of the headlight on the bottom, this would be your horizontal adjustment!

Just installed my gen 2 headlights and looks great. I’m having trouble with the passenger side headlight as the startup sequence and DTRL doesn’t turn on. HOWEVER the actual night time light works. Is this something to do with the fuse? I have a 2020 so it’s different.
That is so odd, I am so sorry to hear you are having this issue! I will now have you check the DRL connector, those pins can sometimes be crushed to the sides, so you will just have to straighten that pin and try again! Let us know what you come up with, and we will go from there!
@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks, I checked and the pins are fine. So I noticed in the DRL setting one DRL is on and it's as bright as it's supposed to be. Switch to night lights, and the both DRLs are on but slightly (noticeable) dimmer than the solo DRL. Btw I don't have automatic lights.

@@jessicabailey4708 Sorry I'm just now seeing this. A pin inside the black and yellow connector was bent (I believe on the cable that runs from the fuse box to the lights). Had to bend it back and it worked!
I want them so bad lol. Just hate there’s no chrome in them, having a limited, I think these will look too dark on it. May have to just take the leap anyway.

What kind of install time would it take a shop to do these headlights as well as the Morimoto fog lights?
Not sure on that honestly, youwould have to reach out to a shop to qute headligt install. They install the same as the OEM headlights and fog lights, so the shop book time would be the same for a regular headlight replacement!

You probably have them installed by now already. Next time in all honesty try to DYI your next project. There’s so much resources on UA-cam and forums with plenty of community to help and support you various things that there’s no reason to pay someone to do it. You get that great feeling of accomplishment when you complete it yourself and you learn more of the in and outs of your own vehicle in the end. I pushed this on my wife in our early years which she initially hatEd, but now she appreciates the knowledge she’s gotten from it. Saved her a lot of money as well doing her own basic maintenance and not getting screwed over by a shop just cause she’s female and appears to be an “easy target”. We now work on our own cars and race to see who gets things done faster. I’ll admit she’s faster at changing the oil than I am nowadays 😭
@@ryuujiryuu9961 I did the install myself. Tail as turn conversion and all interior LEDs too. Delegating it to a shop wasn't about know how, it was about taking the time to do it. My time is worth something to me. Sometimes I would rather pay someone, while I get to spend that time doing other things besides turning a wrench.
Do you have to aim them at all?
Theyusually come pretty well pre-adjusted, but if you have to aim that that is super easy to do! They will have the same adjuster screws like the OEM headlights, and you can turn them to move the headlight beam up and down!

Curious what the side projection looks like (corners near the vehicle). That’s the Achilles heel of every single aftermarket headlight I’ve seen so far. Alpharex Pros and Luxxes do a little better (still haven’t seen anything about the Novas). But so far, it’s an issue that these companies haven’t dealt with yet. As for the new xBs, we can only hope they’re better in all respects than the Gen 1. People were having failures with those left, right, and center

I bought the 1st gen. Massive shake on on bulbes and the drl lost 1 diode with the first week. I just lost another one yesterday on the driver side. Their quality control is bad. Now I see this version 2. My God its infuriating because these were so expensive.
