- About the Video: A comparison of the Original Version (Standard/ Super Street Fighter II Turbo) vs HD Remix (Remake/ PS3 version) vs Ultra Street Fighter II (Remaster/ Switch Version) for compare the three styles side by side, whose goal is to study and learn.
It's a shame they didn't animate the characters on the Switch version.

I think the Switch version's art style itself might have contributed to the latter's massive lack of animations compared to the original CAPCOM® Play System™ II arcade release. But USF was also quite lackluster in the Settings department: like, how epic would it've been if you could mix the new character art, with the oldschool stage graphics in widescreen, with the modern music, recomposed using the classic sixteen bit instruments, with the original fighter vocals, perfectly redubbed in HD quality by their current voice actors? And what's even worse, where on Earth're the original ending sequences and credits screen visuals in Classic Mode, eh?
I guess it's because the SNES version of Super Street Fighter II doesn't have and it's a remake of it.
You must be right, 2019 2019; and although I do own an actual SupeNin, I've never owned SSF II for it, and - although I've seen it played, I mustn't have noticed, since I was too busy guffawing at its infamously inferior Genesis counterpart! 🤣

I want to say so you can see which pallet you're selecting, but Ig the original version of game didn't have the pallet swaps yet.

@@agudgorl Crisp Switch portraits look quite nice indeed, being faithful to the originals. My only complaints are the lack of animations (I feel the game loses some of its personality) and for some reason, it seems the colors are not as vibrant?

I respect the UDON artists but they just pale in comparison to the original portraits... if only the Switch’s HD version was animated.

On Super Nintendo version super street fighter 2 of Bison has flame blue animation, but Switch didn’t. Switch for me no, Super Nintendo yes. Even Acrade much better than Switch.
This games was made by Capcom, Nintendo had nothing to do with this

HD Remix wasn't all that great, but overall character redesigns, made by hardcore UDON fans, are awesome.

@@peepsg Nope, they ported the HD remaster from PS3/360. And of course It is only my opinion, I have friends that prefer the SNES or Saturn ports which is fine, but I don't really know people who likes the HD ones. But If I know someone who likes It that would be fine too.

Switch is basicly a complete re draw of the sprites and i love that! It gives it that feeling of being an artist and re drawing and old pictire to see how far you got.

interesting the Ultra Ryu's blood on his collar bone remains not smoothed enough(same as the blood on Ken's cheek bone. you can still see the same pixel pattern from SD ver., which must've been missed out in the process. I assume that they went through scaling up process, then smoothing out the pattern, and then detailing the edges as final stage.

Ew why does ken have yellow on the switch still???? I get that it’s suppose to replicate and pulled from the arcade version, which had a limited color palette, but it looks so weird. They could’ve replaced it with sweat or removed entirely if they’re unable to work around the limitation. It just looks like ken are too much honey

Switch would've been the clear winner if they were animated. Because they weren't, for me it's more of a toss up between Arcade and 360/PS3. Arcade of course has that classic charm to it while 360/PS3 has the crisp fidelity and stylization. Some of those stylizations though rubbed me the wrong way.

In my opinion the SD versions are the best. I never really liked the art style in Super Turbo HD Remix, and the Ultra versions are static (Still or dont move or dont animate). The Ultra ones definitely would have been the obvious choice if Capcom just animated them.
