1:10 Funny story (to me) I was thought of when I saw all the rounds hit the floor.
So I live in Detroit and I dropped out of high-school at 16 to get a job and help with bills. Wasn't the smartest thing but it happened. When I was 22 I went to get my GED and started taking a prep class at night. One day, before class, I went shooting with a friend. Went to an indoor gun range and got our own stalls and started shooting. My friend was to my left and decided he wanted to try shooting his Glock with one hand. He didn't realize, originally, that his stance caused his hand and gun to protrude past the stalls barriers, in turn causing his shell casings to come flying at me. I told him to step back and being a good friend he said fuck you and kept doing it. I was wearing a relatively tight fitting, thick, conveniently FR hoodie with it half way zipped up so I didn't hesitate to not give a fuck about it. We wrapped up, went home, and I left for class. When I arrived I sat in back, unzipped my hoodie the rest of the way and waited for class to start. When the teacher walked in she realized that nobody sat up front in the first two rows and asked if some people could move closer. I decided to be one of those people. When I stood up, about 15 .40 cal shell casings dropped out of my hoodie on to the floor in a pretty much dead quiet class room. At this point I looked down and frantically tried to capture them and get them to stop bouncing but it was too late, everybody was looking at me. Everybody saw what they were. I popped up off the floor, pocketed them and said "I swear I was just at the gun range." and took my seat. Nobody sat next to me, nobody talked to me, nobody wanted to help me FOR THE REST OF THE 4 HOUR CLASS. The teacher even kept her distance and you could tell she didn't want to talk to me. Needless to say, I never went back and found a different prep class.
That's a fantastic story to have in all honesty. 11/10

I was a customer clear back in 2016 when I found out they were out of Utah and supposedly supported vets, cops, etc and founded by vets, cops, etc. Then the Rittenhouse event came up and I was like, ok, I understand. Then I found out they donated thousands to democrats, and I was upset, then they had that NY times article and that was the last straw for me.

I don’t care tbh. The main reason I like them is because they are committed to hiring veterans who can’t find work elsewhere. As long as they continue to do that, I will continue to buy their coffee. Plus Starbucks is the only real alternative and I wouldn’t be caught dead in a Starbucks.

As for hiring veterans, they're many... many other companies who prioritize veteran hiring, without constantly advertising it for self promotion. I think with a little research you could easily find an alternative coffee substitute as well.
@@jayg8605 the only coffee joints near my place are Starbucks and Black Rifle Coffee. Funny enough, they are less than a hundred feet from each other. I’m sure there are plenty of coffee alternatives that might even be cheaper, but it is just more convenient for me to swing by Black Rifle Coffee for my fix.
And I know that some companies typically like to hire veterans because of the skills they acquired in the military, like leadership and teamwork, but there are still homeless veterans. As long as there are still homeless vets, I will support any company that will hire them.

@@brandon9105 That's probably a bit harsh. I work marketing for a company and the way we present ourselves publicly is actually pretty accurate to how we really operate. Obviously not all companies do that, but I know some will.
My issue with brcc is their higher ups made statements that could easily be interpreted to mean they're lying about their public image. Since brcc sells a product one could get anywhere it's on them to earn the public's business. They chose to do that by convincing people to support a conservative company. If the public loses faith in them they can go elsewhere because they are not obligated to give brcc the benefit of the doubt.
