In today's video, we're testing the speed of our custom Tracker 1236 Wide jon boat with different weight loads. This is a question we've been getting for a while, and we thought we'd put together a short video to answer everyone's questions.
We tested the speed of the jon boat under 4 different loads, with our motor being a Mercury 6hp outboard:
    -1 person, no fishing gear
-1 person, with fishing gear (Casting deck, bait cooler, etc)
    -2 people, no fishing gear
    -2 people, with fishing gear
We used a speedometer app to record how fast we were going. There are portions of the video that are focused on the phone so that you can see that the speedometer on the lower-left portion of the screen is, in fact, synced up with its real time recording.
Also: We tested the speed on a day with a light chop, so speeds will vary by about 1 mph
If you have any questions about our boat or this test, feel free to leave them in the comments below!
