Nice footages, but what do you want us to show? Why are you using a leash in such conditions?

      Thanks for your comment.
What I am showing you is my story and experience aka learning curve, passion for the sport and so on…
In regards to the leash, yes I agree if you do not know what you are doing then you should NOT use it, but on the other side IF you are ‘clued up’ , you know the risks and you accept them also you take good safety measures (read, you know yourself and your abilities of handling the situation when ‘shit hits the fan’) then yes you can use it.
BTW majority of professionals of the industry, especially during competitions, use the leash for surfboards and strapless kite surf and no one sees to make a big fuss about it…so what is your point really? And what make the professional do you think? Taking part in competitions…? That is a tip of an iceberg.
What makes a professional is the initial experience and time spent crafting your skills, hours on the water etc. competitions are just nice ‘add on’ side effect of things.
But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinions, right.
In regards to your initial question, it’s like me asking you: what are you trying to say by making such comment. Do you see what I mean.
You can take out of it whatever you feel is in it for you.

Hey, Im just getting into kiting and looking at buying my first kite. Do you have any advice on whether to get second hand kites and boards for example and how you purchased your stuff. Thank you. Keep up the great content. 👍

Always buy used kites, boards, and bars. The harness, imo, should be new, and I recommend Ride Engine Saber harness. The waist without all the webbing. Also, if you do buy a new kite, go with a kite like Switch or KSP b/c they are good kites and they are far cheaper than Cabrinha.

Hi Marco! Thanks for your great comment. To be honest, when I started kitesurfing I got myself a second hand gear, as a matter of fact all my current gear is second hand too! When you buy the second hand gear you want to make sure it is in good conditions, if you can go see it, even try it before buy if possible, if you are buying online on internet, ask many questions, so you know if there are any issues with the gear. I bought 80% of my gear online without trying it first but I knew exactly what I want and what I am looking for. Sure, if you can buy new go for it but getting the second hand gear in good condition is a great way to gather your equipment, especially at the beginning when you gaining experience and looking for your style. Sure, I found mine in strapless wave riding but started on a twin tip.

Except, I don't see any waves or wave riding

    • @lasomathletics

😉 it’s called progression series which is going to lead to the next level wave riding eventually, in the meantime enjoy the ride as much as I do😃
Strapless rules, it’s a process to master it.
      Thanks for the comment👍

@Switcher785 The point is the process of getting there but clearly you have missed to see and realise it...

That board leash is so sketchy.

Yeah, I ride without the leash now.

It’s not. I certain conditions and spots it’s a must have. Sure when you are beginner you might want to be careful with it but it can save life too (like seatbelts in a car).
