man, you have no idea how much that first tip in launching saved me! if only you told me at the beguining of the summer haha! thanks for all the tip and fun videos to Love/ Lars
With my 15m Cabrinha Contra if there’s enough wind I use the middle knot on the steering lines for the right power + bar pressure + jumping. You’ve suggested outer knot on steering lines which reduces stalling in super light winds (I totally agree) but what are your thoughts with enough wind for 15m? Would you still use outer knot or middle on steering lines in those circumstances? Jumping is the key factor for me (which needs power)? Thanks. :) P.S. I don’t use inner knots on steering lines as stalls kite more easily in super light winds & gets too overpowered too quickly when the wind eventually picks up more. :)
He is not wrong but cabrinha is right too , it does but make a kite more likely too stall but that doesn't happen on cabrinha kites much especially the switchblade you can swing on the bar while using the top not only place its going is up , the only times it falls back is by itself when there is no wind to hold its wait then it's time to come in, with the contra 15m I always use the top Knott you can grab more wind when signing it without the bar hitting the stopper, I think Antony likes the lower Knott for being unhooked to have the bar at the bottom, for hooked jumping you want bar 3/4 from top don't leave any power on the table as bottom Knott is just slack steering lines and then pulling in the slack and hitting stopper , the exception to this is the 1 strut contra which can fold in half if you swing on it to much as its more of a foil kite. Test on the beach pull in the bar with kite at 12 if you don't get lifted off then go a Knott higher or switch to a bigger kite
@@truthhurts3896 Thank you; I’ll try experimenting more - especially lift off on the beach + upper / lower ranges of forecast / gusts and fine tune accordingly. :)
All the videos i have seen from you so far are gold! Very good job and you also look like a nice person.
So cool being able to watch someone fly the exact same kite as you have
OMG pumping the board to gain speed what a brilliant trick! I will practice this in my next LW session thank you!

Truly insightful thanks! :)

Play with the two settings. You could also use the middle knot and then depowet to get a feel for outside knot

Nice, why Is your bar connected on the opposite? Black should be your left side.
Does a north bar fully work on cabrinha contra? :)
yes it does :)
@@KiteboardingStPetersburg Thank you! :D
Great hat..
Just don't be to ambitious with going upwind, walks of shame are totally ok
very true!
Take your Finn's off and for really light wind inflatables are crap
