    You definitely take the mystery and misinformation of bait casting reels into something everyone can understand. I personally never had one, but I know some of my friends do. I just like my spinning reels for my style of fishing. But if I ever get one, I'll use your videos to help me out. Be blessed. My friend.

      Thx for the kinda words! Different reels got different pros and cons. But of course, the most important thing is what folks enjoy using for their leisure time! If you wanna try baitcasting, I highly recommend this reel as it's very easy to use! I will be exploring cheaper budget reels as well they cast! They are mainly non dynamic braking tho

      @@rawrfishing so I was having so much trouble with BCs after watching you for a while Ive learnd so much in only a few months. Yesterday I picked up a 2nd hand Abu Garcia pro max. And I could tune and cast it effortlessly, it seems the BC I was learning on was super difficult and not as good as even the basic Abu. Looking forward to the tatula now knowing what I know now it's gonna be fun. Thanks and I'll always keep supporting you and remember you as my first real BC tutor!! Cheers mate

      @@jorre877 glad you found this video and my other ones useful! I will be cast exploring other reels in the future to see how well they do out of the box. But I'm telling u, the Tatula 100 is gonna be do much better than the 2 reels that I have just mentioned

    I got a daiwa tatula xt rod for my birthday that's currently sitting in the closet because it's been raining all week so I haven't been able to use it yet. I'm so excited to use it because I'm upgrading from a zebco hotcast. I don't like baitcasters so I've got a pflueger president spinning reel paired on it 😃

      u will find that a baitcasting reel isn't hard to cast, especially if you have a daiwa tatula 100! all 3 style of reels got their pros and cons! but it's most important that you enjoy what you use for your recreational fun!

      @rawrfishing love my tatula reel. But I feel it's time to move on since I've mastered feathering it. Been a fan of your videos.
      Now starting BFS with the 23 conquest/Dobyns sierra ultra finesse rod. I love everything BFS. Still a noob in that world so I'm still all fluorocarbon 6lb. BFS reel and throwing 1/32-1/8 lure is a whole new world

      Part number? Not sure what the part number is for the old one, but I can grab the schematics of the new one as I have that downstairs. but it's just the spool. in my unboxing video, I weighed both spools and found that the newer one was a few grams lighter than the old. I Haven't been looking. There's so many bfs reels out now these days and so I feel conversions are not worth it. But do know that the old 2019 spools should fit. I ended up using a horrible quality one that fell apart.. But I glued it back together lol... That's the Chameleon diy spool...

      lol, it's all good.
      I think we need to know what you are trying to throw for max distance. some reels works great for heavy lures, but stinks with lighter lures. The elite was a great reel for frogging as i used thick line and i launched it. but it wouldn't be great for a M power rod for throwing 1/4 oz stuff compared to an SV spool.

    Why do Americans still use full spools of mono or fluro? In Australia, we all do braid mainline and tie to fluro, only use mono leader for soft plastic surface lures.
    The benefits of braid out weigh both other line types.. I really don't see the point in doing anything else

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing 6 місяців тому

      U know your fishery better than I do! I use braid all the time. I used mono here to create the over spooling so I could record it! Also purposely made birds nest for rolls... Cheaper that way!
