I fish ridiculously pressured ponds and so bought a daiwa alphas air tw bfs reel. Using it on a dobyns sierra ultra lite rod 7'. Now I can go to super light finesse style fishing and finally able to catch something!
Just picked up the Tatula SV TW 70 (8# InvisX) to pair up with my SLX XT DC 71 (16# Sniper). All for ML and Medium Rod setups. Really fun range between BFS and the usual 100+ size Casting reel setups. In hand, the SV TW 70 was nicer for me than the straight 80. Keep up the great videos!
Video and Audio looks/sounds awesome. Funny I have been looking at this Diawa 80 and SLX BFS for smaller bits. Still not decided. But this video helps. Thanks sir.
I am always on the look out for thirsty Daiwa after a few Debo videos on it. A touch of grease on the key areas, and small drops of oil on the bearings… smoother and quieter!
Nice vid !! I think this reel is a real sleeper, I'm glad you put it on the radar ! More affordable than the SV TW 70, yet no slouch at all. I've had mine about 10 months , Luv it , been smooth and quiet since new. I did break it down after my sixth outing ( as I do with all my reels) cleaned, greased & oiled it. I have it spooled with 8# P-Line co-polymer, on a Phenix Feather rod 7' 1" light/fast , rated for 4#-10# & 1/8 to 3/8 oz lures. super light combo , I use it for light cranks, poppers, jerks & finesse, jigs , Neds, 1/8 chatterbaits & spinnerbaits. it's a Great Finesse combo !! I also run a Tatula SV TW 103 on a Lamiglas 7' 3" med/hvy, these two compliment each other very well !!
Thanks for the review. The quality of the video & audio was very good. Wondering if you will do a full review on the Lew's Elite Ti baitcaster. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
I put 20# braid on mine & oiled everything on it. It's so light & strong....a fun little reel. I grabbed it for drop-shotting mainly, but it does everything you ask of it. Fish on !
how many yards of 10lb mono does the 80 hold? Most of the time they only provide the capacity for 12lb without saying if it's the mid or top of the range.
Unfortunately, you will have the same reliability issues with your Hero 12's maybe not when recording in 1080p but it's doesn't really make sense to spend the money on that camera to only record in 1080. If you want a reliable camera, get yourself a DJI Osmo Action 4. I switched to DJI years ago and never looked back.
Thanks for the review! I definitely think it's a winner. Appreciate you sharing as always!
My pleasure buddy! Appreciate you! 👊
The Tatula and the CA80 are insane values. Love them BOTH!
💯

Appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching! 👊
Love Daiwa but they gotta let the grease guy do his job at the factory LOL

💯 brother! Great choices! 👊
Good review thanks Jim 🤛
Appreciate you brother! 👊
Great looking reel for a bank fisherman like myself. 👍👍👍.
Yes sir! 👊💪
I picked one of these up recently and I love it. It's almost too small for my hand but it fishes like a dream. I like it more than my old zillion.
Right on! 👊
No!!!! Can’t believe I’m watching this😂😅😊. Great video man! Great video. Need the 80!!!!
💯 🤣
Very clear and sounds great! Reel looks good. I use the Tatula 150 as my frog reel have know issues with it. Have a great week!
Right on brother! Appreciate you! 👊
Great shot and sound. Super review!
Appreciate you! 👊
Thanks for the review sir. 👊
You bet! 👊💪
nice to know that there are different sizes of baitcasting reels video and sound look very good
Appreciate you! 👊

Appreciate the feedback! I'll do a review on that Lews as well! 👊💪
Hey TJ, nice review. Can't go wrong with Diawa Tatula. I love my 100 👍
💯 👊
Looking and sounding clear, brother!
Appreciate you! 👊

Good review! 👍 camera's working great.
Appreciate you! 👊💪
They are fantastic reals , what rod is that with the carbon fibre handle? Thanks 😊
Kistler Chromium.
Lol! My opinion but if the Tatula 80 is getting THIS much hype, the SV 70 is on another level. The SV Concept here is the difference maker.
💯
Thoughts on this versus the SV 70 for pitching lightweight Texas rigs and tubes around sparse cover? Great video!
I prefer the 70...a bit more control with the SV spool.
I love smaller reels for topwater fishing, you can still cast em a mile and I can get a much better grip for walking the dog.
💯
Good review. Great sound and video.
All mine are 150 and bigger maybe have to try it. Would that be considered a good reel for BFS?
It'll toss light, but not BFS light. I do believe there is an aftermarket BFS spool available for it.
Hey TJ, enjoyed the review. I use cheaper line as backing. Let’s face it good line ain’t cheap. How much if any backing can you use on that 80?
I don't use backing on smaller spools. Appreciate you brother! 👊
not sure if anyone mentioned but the lower grade bearings is why it's 'louder' on the cast.
I may upgrade them. 👊

Not sure, but more than enough.
Tatula 70 also very nice too
💯

Found my reel to throw dt6 on now

Yeah, 1080 is all I shoot in, and so far, they are way better than the 9's. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! 👊
