As you probably already figured out, that driveshaft didn't fix your vibration. The vibration is coming from the pinion angle on the differential changing since you lowered the car. You need to get an adjustable torque arm so you can set the pinion angle to what its supposed to be, which is parallel to the transmission yoke angle.
I haven’t gotten the car fast enough yet to tell, but yea that makes sense.. I completely forgot about the torque arm. I’ll have to get an adjustable when I put in a loop. Thanks
Everyone seems to think that pinion angle does something dramatic with these cars, it doesn't. As long as nither U-joint is at 0 degrees and it's nothing dramatic then it doesn't really matter what the pinion angle ends up at. The vibration in most of these cars is not an imbalance (well it could be but most that have the problem do not have an imbalanced DS), pinion angle or most of the other stuff people throw out. What it is is a relatively short shaft that hits it's harmonic RPM and actually flexes with that harmonic causing the vibration (there is a TSB about this for the 4th gens explaining it). Stock most of these cars had relatively low gears 2.73, 3.08, 3.23, 3.27, and some 4th gens came with 3.42's. The higher the gear the more likely you are to get into the harmonic range, which is why it became more of a problem with 4th gens. Almost all of them will vibrate by 75mph with 4.10 gears in them, and the vibration will get better 15-20mph past that (once you get back out of the harmonic). GM's solution changed depending on the years, early on it was to swap in a 1LE 3rd gen shaft, later it was to swap in a later LS style aluminum shaft (different diameter, material density... resulting in a different harmonic). Be careful with the 4th gen aluminum DS, it's proven to be the weakest of the possible solutions, quite a few people have broken them in very mild combinations.
You're absolutely correct... When I went from my steel stock driveshaft to a 3.5 aluminum.. it made a big difference in vibration... not that it was bad before. It just smoothed it out.@@mpikas
Great stuff man, I'm getting me another Irocz soon and these videos help so much to help me when I'm going to install all the upgrades. I greatly appreciate the info. Great video. If you haven't already committed, I recommend the 12 bolt. Similar strength and upgrades to the 9", but is more efficient. That way you can keep more of your crank ponies.
During my divorce ten years ago, I had four cars. One was an 85 black iroc. No one wanted to buy it because of recession, I had no where to put it and it needed lots of work. Sadly I had to sell it to pick a part for only 500$. I still have my 82 Berlinetta with only 40k on it. Looks like brand new still.

A 4 core radiator is the only thing you'd want in the desert southwest. 3 core radiators were used by the factory in this climate, and on many cars that just want enough. Not by a long shot.
Mine used to run hot with the a/c on, ( r134a in stock system) after I upgraded to original air's whole system kit my car runs way cooler and the ac keeps up when it over 110.
I had alot of issues with electric fans cooling my Camaro, even had all metal 3 core radiator. Ended up putting on a mechanical fan off the motor which solved my issues.

I have a *1976 Camaro RS 350 HO* and upgraded my radiator this year. I wanted better cooling but, also worried about the right fit. Im gonna stick with the turbo cam for now. Whenever I upgrade the heads I'll do the cam. It should still make good power, its makes around 60- 70rwhp over the stock truck cam.
Good stuff, no matter how big of a rad, or how many pusher/puller fans you install you will still overheat, GM in the 80's used "under the car flap" to direct the air from under the car to hit the rad, as you can see it failed big time, what I'd do, Fab a piece of metal from the bumber to the rad core support, and for below the car just fab a big under carraige cover, so all the air hitting you front end will be forced into the rad instead of escaping below the car.
