guys, Zs have a known issue to cook the oils as well, you should consider adding oil coolers to them. just to be safe and it could be a nice hi-lo episode between cheap oil coolers with rubber hoses and those expensive mishimoto ones with braided lines and AN fittings, see if they really make a difference.
You do realise mishimoto parts are just rebranded chinese crap? And you also do realise that oil systems like cooler setups dont require braided hoses right? And you do realise that mishimoto braided hoses and AN fittings are just chinese braided hoses and chinese AN fittings. And you do realise that theres not enough pressure in the system to require a overbraid and AN fittings, they only require pushfit fittings and oil resistant pushfit hose, right?

@@Odddit yeah the trick seems to be put better turbo parts on a stock turbo car. Slapping a turbo on a factory N/A engine seems to generally be awful. Nearly every problem Hi car has had is because of the damn twin turbo kit.
Sounds like you're just going to have problems with a project car regardless of what parts you put on it. It's just a matter of what problems you want to have lol.
Its all in how you design your car. They are just bolting parts on seemingly randomly. If you are meticulous in your planning and know what you are doing, problems should not be too bad or extensive. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER BABY!

Bio fouling is present with propylene glycol which increases corrosion through the formation of bacterial films on the inside of your radiation. Not ethylene glycol which is the main coolant used. We are not sure, but we suspect it migth have been the reason why his waterpump broke. So higly recommend using it, even in warm climates.

brian it’s a turbo, and it’s had nothing but issues since I got it just over a month ago. Granted its 30 years old nearly and has 183.5k miles so I’m a bit forgiving. She just needs some deep maintenance and I’m sure she’ll be fine
The car needs antifreeze because it doesn't just lower the freezing point of water, it also helps raise the boiling point and prevents corrosion which is why they recommend trying to go 50/50
That's totally, wrong, it prevents corssion yes but it doesn't raise the boiling point. The high pressure inside the cooling system raises the boiling point.
@@bangulatof9094 not true, actually lookup glycol as it does have a higher boil point than water even not under pressure. A proper mix does have a slightly higher boiling point.
Antifreeze doesn't just lower the freezing temperature...it also raises the boiling point as well. When the coolant flashes to steam it stops being able to cool the motor.

Low car looks like it could benefit from some heat shielding on the turbo and maybe the hood. This is my favorite thing to watch on UA-cam right now hands down. Also it'd be sick to see a hi-low comparing a cheap cat-back exhaust replacement to a full exhaust and headers replacement with a tune.

I spent $500 on my cooling kit on my G35, got the mishimoto racing thermostat, mishimoto silicone hoses, mishimoto radiator, and some pentofrost. I went with the stock fans. Had some fitting issues with the radiator but other than that, awesome! I would get a check engine line that the car was too cold during 40s temp🥶

I'm 96% sure back in the day when I had an 05Z I wound up using the Megan Racing rad from low car and the fans/shroud from high car when I needed a new radiator. It was pretty awesome. This series definitely makes me think about buying another one but also reminds me why I shouldn't.

The Pressure in the system inside raises the boiling point, not the anti -freeze

brian it’s a turbo, and it’s had nothing but issues since I got it just over a month ago. Granted its 30 years old nearly and has 183.5k miles so I’m a bit forgiving. She just needs some deep maintenance and I’m sure she’ll be fine

The car needs antifreeze because it doesn't just lower the freezing point of water, it also helps raise the boiling point and prevents corrosion which is why they recommend trying to go 50/50
And it lubricates the waterpump
When testing you need to keep variables the same as much as possible.
That's totally, wrong, it prevents corssion yes but it doesn't raise the boiling point. The high pressure inside the cooling system raises the boiling point.
@@bangulatof9094 not true, actually lookup glycol as it does have a higher boil point than water even not under pressure. A proper mix does have a slightly higher boiling point.
Its does raise the boiling point, but your coolant shouldn't be anywhere around 250F, you atar blowing head gaskets around 300F.

I spent $500 on my cooling kit on my G35, got the mishimoto racing thermostat, mishimoto silicone hoses, mishimoto radiator, and some pentofrost. I went with the stock fans. Had some fitting issues with the radiator but other than that, awesome! I would get a check engine line that the car was too cold during 40s temp🥶

I'm 96% sure back in the day when I had an 05Z I wound up using the Megan Racing rad from low car and the fans/shroud from high car when I needed a new radiator. It was pretty awesome.
