- My predictions (just for fun):
0:16 1. Mea Culpa will be in DLC
0:25 2. Not like Ruego Al Alba
0:53 3. Relate to Blasphemous 1 map
1:54 4. DLC on the left of the starting point
2:43 5. Cannot use 3 weapons like before
2:56 Conclusion

i personally want to use the mea culpa instead of three weapons
I feel that we are going to see Crisanta's sword, because in the ending we see the sword is not there, but somewhere and that Crisanta is not on the other side of the dream like in the final A, I feel there's something Crisanta related thats gonna be heavy
It would be nostalgic seeing him return to the brotherhood.

I don't understand why the sky-art in that screenshot is a depressing, dull gray color, which is too reminiscent of Where Olive Trees Wither.
Considering that this DLC is coming out in fall, the skybox and setting being at night would've been so beautiful. It's a thing lacking in Blasphemous games, beautiful nightscapes.

I saw a reddit post about something like this and there was this leaked image of the new map. I got so confused of what place is that because i almost remember everyplace from the 2 games and never saw this particular map. Then the blasphemous subredditors said thats a fking leak and i didn't even know about. I was so obsessed with the map location i noticed after they said the character model is from the second game which confused me because why is he holding mea culpa then

I read a theory based on the artbook yesterday. That the grip of Mea Culpa (still left) will restore the whole sword, and the new sword looks like Crisana's sword (because of her sin) and will be wrapped with crimson bindings.
I remember Eviterno once said "Now let the crimson bindings finish what they once began". It means the Crimson Bindings take a serious role. We might wait for the trailer to know we will play the game at the beginning or after finishing Incarnate Devotion.
I also watched dev diaries on UA-cam, and in EP 06, at 4:29, there were a lot of movement Penitent One jumped and the crimson bindings appeared. An in EP 7, at 4:37, dev revealed this new sword, and said it was a heavy weapon (but they have to discarded it, and now they bring to the DLC). So I predict that we will perform the new Mea Culpa like Crisanta through Weapon Memory (hold parry for a long time! with long delay); it will have the mode that we will unwrapped the bindings!
Just hope that the trailer will release this month ^^

Đúng là cảm giác câu chuyện vợ chồng và người dân bị dịch bệnh chết thảm còn nhiều bí ẩn - cũng như The Witness, hay cách thức The Miracle chi phối và kiểm soát vùng đất này sau khi High Wills bị tiêu diệt ở phần 1. Nóng chờ DLC.

Also does his arm looks like made of gold or something else or is it just me if you notice a little closer? Or maybe the screen is that way.
it looks like his hand is still made of root rather than gold :D maybe after I upscaled the image, the new resolution cleared some details of his hand ^^

Really brings my thoughts back to how all 3 new weapons seem to be based on certain aspects of Mea Culpa, with their special moves being outright the same. What if those 3 factions who used them originally descended/took inspiration from The Penitent One/Brotherhood in general, and the dlc is going to somehow elaborate on this?
(This is just a theory though, I'm not even sure if any of these statue/altarpiece "factions" actually existed, they might very well just represent random cool looking people)
This could probably contrast well with how outsidish The Penitent One feels in the second game - for now he is just a weird little shard of the old times not known or remembered by anyone (well, aside from them boss guys) who has absolutely nothing in common with the new world he woke up in, but suddenly it would turn out that not only does this new world remember him damn well, it had literally formed around his persona and stuff he had done as we see it
To take some wilder guesses about this (particularly about the similar fight styles), what if we will have to somehow combine/merge our 3 weapons "back" into a new copy of Mea Culpa?

Your idea is fantastic ❣️ I read all your helpful comments and so much things were revealed (by the way, I'm making a video discussing 3 weapons system and how perfectly consistent it is, but I didn't think of Mea Culpa).
- I read all lores from the altarpieces, but sadly, none of them show us the story of those statues-penitents holding weapons. Maybe they are just random characters, like the 4 Laudes's statues in Blasphemous 1 (Coincidentally, in Blasphemous 2, Penitent One owns so much weapons like Laudes. Hope that we will get more stories about her in the future).
- It's really cool if we can exchange 3 weapons to only 1 Mea Culpa. If so, there must be a guy can do that... like Afilaor. I just randomly thought of him, since he sharpens lots of knives and swords, he would knows some methods of melting and casting Mea Culpa. Actually, I even thought he would be a boss who become a NPC (like Esdras) to upgrade our weapons when the first trailer released on April last year.
But I guess the devs will prefer the indepence of weapons, to save the effort they put into animations ^^
- Well, there are still lots of things I want to talk about the DLC, but they are just my personal guesses ^^

@@lehoangphuc1707 by the way,i dont think the dlc will be on the left at the start but maybe somewhere at the aqueduct of the costales or sacred entombment because that area has similar color to graveyard of the peaks, or maybe they will make a separate map for the dlc like in elden ring because i dont see a fitting place for that snowy area on the map
