Here's the biggest compliment I can think of. As a highly trained and talented musician, he has not lost his feel for basic rock, bluegrass, country or even jazz which sets him apart from most, if not all, highly educated musicians who tend to sound more like robots, but not Steve. He is genuine.
1 of the best. IMO in music doesn't exist such concept as the best, but only virtuoso or 1 of the best. Try for example to tell that Mozart is the best as compared to Fryderyk Chopin or vice versa? What about Al Di Meola, John McLoughlin Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Garry More (RIP) etc.? Regards
Can't wait to see him at the Canyon Club in Agoura on Jan 15th, 2010!!!!!! I saw them two years prior at the same venue and seeing this stuff live is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!
It's unfortunate that we don't have any recordings of Jaco Pastorius and Steve Morse, they both went to college at University of Miami at the same time and both were in their Jazz band. Pat Metheny was there at the same time as well. What a bumper crop of stars that school has for alumni.
People gush about Govan, Vai, ans Satch, but Morse is one of the all-time greats, and he also is one of the instruments most committed artists, which is his greatest strength.
wow.. just WOW... I LOVE that volume knob swell trick he does, it sound so "real", and incorporated into the notes more-so than stepping on a volume pedal. its all in the hands and feel. speachless.
In1980 in my senior year of high school a drummer friend of mine worked at a music store and came home with "Dregs of The Earth" Dixie Dregs and I heard that album most notably "I am Freaking Out" and my life changed from that moment on, Led who? Jimmy who? Lol, my guitar heroes were kinda forgotten as I was just introduced to "God" Clapton is God?? "I don't think so"

Это потрясающе ! Ничего подобного никто не исполнял. У Стива невероятный звук, свой узнаваемый стиль
Yeah - I've been a fan since '79 n he stills blows me away. Seen him many many times - always phenomenal.
Tremendous talent. Steve Morse's music is heavenly. Thanks for posting this.
His Tone and sustain is beauty to my ears!!!! In my opinion Steve is the best guitarist he is just a brilliant player

@@andyreasoner5289 there are many kings but there is only one God ;-)
in my eyes he is awesome at fusing because you can hear country influences, classical rock and jazz and he makes it sound so good and so him
Grear playing... good taste and melodic control.
The best piece I've heard from Steve.
in my humble opinion the best guitarrist of all time i like so much Gilbert, Petrucci, Satch, Vai but Morse is Morse =D

he does volume-swells with his pinky, watch carefully at 4.50
FANTASTICO!!!! COMO NAO PIRAR NESSE SOM? Que delicia1
No peddle or bar. He wraps his little finger around the volume knob when playing harmonics.
He does use a volume pedal on each of his effects pedals. You can check out his equipment lineup on UA-cam.
Imposible
It’s my opinion he should’ve started off this solo with, “If you don’t mind would you be quiet and not applaud for about 30 seconds after it’s done?”
When war that?
Steve is looking younger

Man, this is way better then watching porn on a school day when all lessons are being skipped
It is SO friggin' unfair. Didn't he leave any chops for the rest of us?
