I remember I was 18 when this movie came out. A date stood me up and I went to see this movie by myself. Loved the movie and the song. Duncan was the man!!
“ Is this detention? “. “ No it’s actually your mother’s house, and we’re having a party “ lol Some kind of wonderful is still the best teen movie from the 80s
Filmed at the high school I attended Back in the summer of 86’ they held a open casting to all returning students that were interested in being an extra for interior / exterior shots at the school.. SPHS 🏴☠️
😯 Oh wow and oh my goodness, am I the only one here that misses these times or what and am I the only one that wishes we can go back to the '80s again. These were such great and wonderful times and memories, also the greatest entertainment we had back then too. It's a shame today, can't be like the '80s. Today in this day and age music and the entertainment stinks, nothing back like when we were all kids or teenagers and that is for sure. Anyway some kind of wonderful movie and the soundtrack is awesome
Feel nb soooo good after listening to this . Shut my eyes I’m back in Azad video shops I worked in late 80s , in Scotland , watching John Hughes / brat pack films all day .
FFL had three FM radio classics on their debut album. Three songs that stay with me no matter where I go or how old I get. I Go Crazy. Postcards from Paradise and Sooner or Later. They are timeless gems that sound like the John Hughes movies looked. I was 13 at the time and FFL was just edgy enough to get me into the Replacements and pop/new wave enough to fit along side my love for INXS, Modern English and The Alarm. All these bands have those magical tracks that touch something deep in you that lasts. A good memory? A perfect moment? Whatever it is, celebrate it and keep them in your heart. It’s the soundtrack of your life.
I go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you What have I done today Just sat and watched the jets fly over A car goes by And the sun goes down We talk about the town This city's mad in the head And sick in the soul All the stars flew away a long time ago Isn't that nice Like Miami Vice I go crazy when I'm without you I go crazy when I'm without you Well your life is like an infants dream It's like everything's on TV You see your face in the mirror Could it be your place in the mirror And so we turn on the TV one more time And we see that everything is fine But what have I done today I go crazy What have I done today I go crazy when I'm without you I go crazy I go crazy I I I go crazy when I'm without you Go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you What have I done today What have I done today Sue-Ellen looks so upset This isn't the first time And it won't be the last Things going on behind her back Oh they give you a heart attack I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you But what have I done today I go crazy I go crazy I go crazy I go crazy But what have I done today I go crazy But what have I done today I go crazy when I'm without you I go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy I go crazy when I'm without you But what have I done today I go crazy I go crazy I go crazy I go crazy
Great work on the video! Been messing around with making some movie music videos myself lately, and it's given me a whole new appreciation for how much effort you need to put in to make the clips fit into the song smoothly, lol
Well isn't that nice like Miami vice... John's soundtracks made millions of us the coolest hottest go to party people wherever we went...a generation ahead of a generation ......
@negems2011 Great job with the video edit. You should do some more! Whilst a song by 4 goth gloomers from Brixton (London) might seem an odd choice, it worked better in the movie than as a song in its own right (well IMO, anyway). As you know, John Hughes wrote the screenplay and also directed FB's Day Off, Breakfast Club and 16 Candles - 4 cracking "teen" movies. Thank you very much.
Can't find this on any album on Spotify. I am guessing this was released on a 45 RPM, maybe a bit rare but it might turn up on eBay. Many of their tracks on Internet radio sites such as Flashback Alternatives are very hard to track down, but perhaps Flesh for Lulu could be considered underrated even by 1980s standards. "I Go Crazy" (their longer version) was on the radio before (in my area), think it was in the late 1990s, if my memory serves.
Break his heart I break your face. Best line ever.

I go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you
What have I done today
Just sat and watched the jets fly over
A car goes by
And the sun goes down
We talk about the town
This city's mad in the head
And sick in the soul
All the stars flew away a long time ago
Isn't that nice
Like Miami Vice
I go crazy when I'm without you
I go crazy when I'm without you
Well your life is like an infants dream
It's like everything's on TV
You see your face in the mirror
Could it be your place in the mirror
And so we turn on the TV one more time
And we see that everything is fine
But what have I done today
I go crazy
What have I done today
I go crazy when I'm without you
I go crazy
I go crazy
I I I go crazy when I'm without you
Go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you
What have I done today
What have I done today
Sue-Ellen looks so upset
This isn't the first time
And it won't be the last
Things going on behind her back
Oh they give you a heart attack
I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you
But what have I done today
I go crazy
I go crazy
I go crazy
I go crazy
But what have I done today
I go crazy
But what have I done today
I go crazy when I'm without you
I go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you, go crazy
I go crazy when I'm without you
But what have I done today
I go crazy
I go crazy
I go crazy
I go crazy
Go true love Keith and Alie...

Anyone else love to blast this song in their Mini Cooper, knowing full well that the vast majority of the population can't make the association?
blast the music while someone's girlfriend is putting lipstick on. ;)
Or blast it while someone drives off and your still holding the oil dip stick...
