One of my favorites. I was an 80s teen thru and thru age 10- 20 during 1980-90. I love how Duncan and his friends break the whole front door off at the house. So many little things in the movie that make it so wonderfully wonderful
I'm 52 and it still has that same feeling as it did in 1987. A timeless movie for me. Won my heart the very first time i had seen it. Nothing like the 80's❤

I was 21 when this movie came out, and I saw it at the theater. There were a lot of people crying over this movie that night. It was a great movie then, and it still is now! The '80's really were a great time, that era had a special feel to it, I wish I could go back and relive it over and over again.
Amanda give away those earrings because she wants Keith to be happy, and she knows he really loves Watts. That is really noble and kind of Amanda, and although she had to walk home alone on this night I am sure that would not be a problem for long.

Yes they do. But men like that--people like that, with that kind of integrity, that kind of sense of self, that kind of dedication to those they care about, aren't as common as they should be. But they are around. And I bet you know some already. I find if you're genuine with people, and treat people with respect, you'll find others that do likewise. You'll find assholes and deceptive pricks too, and may get hurt in the process. But you cut them out of your life, and be there for the ones that treat you as you treat them.
If you’re not in love with Mary Stewart Masterson by the end of this scene you’re out of your mind. This is one of the best RomComs ever. Such good writing, great acting and the 80s soundtrack doesn’t hurt. Fell in love with John Hughes films after this.

I loved Eric Stolz, those eyes and that smile. I always wanted to marry him. The most good lucking Ginger haired man I ever seen. I miss the 80’s
One of my favorites.
I was an 80s teen thru and thru age 10- 20 during 1980-90.
I love how Duncan and his friends break the whole front door off at the house.
So many little things in the movie that make it so wonderfully wonderful
I'm 50 now. I didn't think that watching this now would still make me feel the same way I did when I saw this back in '87.
I'm 52 and it still has that same feeling as it did in 1987. A timeless movie for me. Won my heart the very first time i had seen it. Nothing like the 80's❤
If only we could go back in time!! 😔
The soundtrack to this movie is great!
I just watched this movie for the first time yesterday and I can't stop replaying this video!!
Natasha St Hilaire Just in case you haven't watch it or didn't know about it; try the film: Can't Buy My Love - from 1987 With Patrick Dampsey. Best regards from Brazil.
She had me at the 5:00 minute mark!..That look she gave him was so intense and full of emotion!..brought me to my knees..dayyumm! Lol
JasonK C i love that look she gives him, i think it’s honestly one of the best things about this movie because it is so filled with regret and sorrow and love and just so so so much emotion!!
THE GREATEST MOVIES OF THE 80'S 1 OF MY FAVORITES
SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL
WITH LEA THOMPSON 👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
I was born in 1983, but watching this, I feel like I want to back to to the 80's as teenager. The music, the style, OMG ... I love that era!
This one was always my favorite of that generation. I loved Pretty in Pink and 16 candles and of course the Breakfast club but this just really stuck with me.
This and "Can't Buy Me Love"
Wynterhawk Carter-Harris me too!!
Wynterhawk Carter-Harris: 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛all your comments friend..... Buuuut, I must say there’s another 2 or 3 that truly impacted me and stuck with me from that ERA: Can’t Buy Me Love, Roxanne & Ferris B’s Day-off🤩
Wynterhawk Carter-Harris Say Anything
16 candles was trash
One of the best 80's movies still love it to this day and the music is awesome.
2019 and I am still crazy about this movie!!
32 years later I've watched first time and still cry on this scene...
I always saw Keith as a redheaded Mark Hamill
kgunitkeese17 me too
I remember thinking that too at fourteen
02:24 best part of the entire movie, they even nailed the entrance with the music
Chicken shit 🤣🤣
Duncan stole the show.
@@jcampbell003 I really love how their bond began in detention
Do you know the name of the song?
My favourite film ever and top soundtrack. Fell in love with this film at 13 years old and still love it the same as I did then.
They don’t make men like that anymore.
But you cut them out of your life, and be there for the ones that treat you as you treat them.
i am haha
I'm one..a real fall on your sword guy.
They don’t make broads like that anymore
But they sure make Hardy Jenns with two "n's" though...
This movie needs recognition asap!!!! Is the best 80’s teen movie!
wow it'sn a teen movie but i can still see realy high class acting level
If you’re not in love with Mary Stewart Masterson by the end of this scene you’re out of your mind. This is one of the best RomComs ever. Such good writing, great acting and the 80s soundtrack doesn’t hurt. Fell in love with John Hughes films after this.
they showed this movie on cable the other day (2019)...and still had the same effect on me as it did in 1987 -- a true Classic!
This movie had the perfect 👌🏻 songs for the perfect 👌🏻 timing - it enhances and makes good scenes GREAT!
When I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90's my oldest sister used to make me watch these movies. Me being a kid thought they were pish. Now am 43yrs young and I watch these glorious masterpieces with my kids and now I get it. John Hughes was a revolutionary at filmmaking especially to do with teenage angst.
Miss the 80s and John Hughes movies; good movies, good music. May he Rest in Peace.
I would have chosen Watts too.
I its an EASY CHOICE SO SIMPLE
That was the intent John Hughes wanted every one to come away with. Watts was the star of this great flick from the opening scene of her playing the drums to the Intro...
My girlfriend at the time was the spitting image if Amanda we went watching this movie together and loved it we were only together for 9 months and yes over 30 years later i still pine for her i know what they say about your first love she ment the world to me and can still remember what she looked like
Yep. The major shortcoming of this movie was not enough Watts.
Hell yes.
80’s movies are the best!
"You look good wearing my future", gets me every time ❤🧡💛💚
this is one of my mom's fave films and she showed it to me a while back, I'm so glad she did! such a lush film 🥺🥺
When Watts shakes hands with Amanda 😢😢😢
Best ending ever. I love this film
This was one of my favorite time pieces. Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, others. Thanks!
That part were Keith look's at watts hits me right in my feels, I can relate to her character so much😩
This brings back the pain of my first heartbreak ( there were many more too!) and that horrible feeling deep inside that you can NEVER have that one person that you know will make your life complete 💔 #love#hurts
Watched this film over 30 years ago, never forgot it as a young lad and still love it as a fifty year old,it's just a lovely film .
What a cast. Fantastic movie!
I absolutely love this movie! It’s one of my all-time favorites. I only wish there were more scenes between Keith and Watts. Can’t get enough of these two.
Beat's So Lonely - - great tune and one of my fave scenes in film.
Frank Cindrich +me2
One of my favourite scenes ever.
Thank you
Great soundtrack!
This ending and the ending of "An Officer and a Gentleman" are two of my favorites.
Where did 80’s Go ??? for many of us 80’s & early 90’s era and John Hughes movies are the best and unforgettable time of our lives ❤
"Ur looking good wearing my future"🥰😍aaaaw 😋damn kills to be an 80s kid 😂lucky me
I'm an 80s baby but loved the movie. Showed someone this scene and got made fun of. Only certain people get it I guess. I love this movie. A classic.
Me too I was 15
if Mary Stuart Masterson wasn't using Visine drops in that final scene, I wonder what she was recalling in order to tap into that water main break
I still trip over Eric Stoltz being Rocky Dennis in Mask with Cher. On another note, Some Kind of Wonderful is one of the best movies ever!
I remember watching this in the theater with someone very special to me someone who I thought I might marry someday but fate had other plans and she moved away and Now years later this movie still brings back memories of our time together and when I think of her I smile and remember.
That bit wen thay look at each other and that music omg. Wonderful.
Song name?...
