Soccer Mommy is the project of 22 year old Sophie Allison. The Nashville native hit the music scene in the mid-2010's when she was still a high school student. Now, on her second album, we are excited to welcome her to KCRW ahead of the release of her new record Color Theory.

I really like her music and voice but I always feel when listening to her songs, it could go up one level? It’s hard to describe but it just feels like it’s like a constant cycle of great music, but it doesn’t peak?
I hope this doesn’t come across as negative. I’ve become a fan of her music for sure! Just wondering if anyone else feels the same?

for music this simple theres just no reason for three guitarists. like i get its awkward cause hes her boyfriend but... come on lol. i will say this is his best performance but i think its mostly because you can hardly hear him lol. maybe he can do some cool shit and hes just not fit for her sound, but everyone is just trying to make it work cause they're dating but its not doing anyone any favors. besides this long term issue ive had with them, this does sound really great.
