This is a little disappointing tbh, it barely looks any better than forza horizon 5 but run's at 1/3 rd the fps.
Awful launch again I honestly wish they would scrap gamepass I feel like all new games on there now have a low level of polish because they have already made there money they don't care about sales anymore, starfield and fm have been massively disappointing from a performance view on PC, this feels nothing like a fm game feels more like project cars, awful audio for a fm game it still feels like an alpha

Just like every other Motorsport game, it runs way worse and looks worse than the Horizon comparisson with half of the features from the Horizon games.

Im kinda getting sick of a 3080 graphics card not being enough
I've got pretty much the exact same setup but I'm not getting the fps. Same card, same memory etc. My max fps in the benchmark test soars over 100 but the min is 26. CPU is fine with min of 93. It's the GPU render that's low but there must be something else to it. If i put everything low it's still not getting reliably over 60 and again I have the same hardware as you. Any idea what's going on? I had issues with Flight Sim too and in the end it required some weird changes to the graphic card settings rather than the game settings. Maybe something similar here?

Thanks a lot! Most useful info on the subject I managed to find. Was already able to bump my fps to 60 on a 3060TI, 16GB Ram and AMD Ryzen 7 5800 on the benchmark!... Small edit. I also updated my nvidia drivers to the latest gamer version

@@gamergang884make sure you restart your game after every change in settings. otherwise it will keep you in the 30 to 40fps area. I've got a 3060ti and 5600. I've got it mainly high with RT on and dlss quality and I'm getting 60 to 70... resetting the game after every change is key
@@gamergang884 The same as in this video, except with dynamic render quality on High instead of Ultra. As mantioned don't forget to restart the game as well!
Thanks to this video my 5600x and 4070 are running 1440p high at 120-140fps 😊
my game runs fine on any setting but no matter the settings even low my track flickers in and out and just doesn’t render fully when it does manage to not flicker
Any idea how to actually cap the frame rate? RivaTuner doesn’t allow you to change Xbox .exe’s, and NVIDIA control panel doesn’t seem to work.

I’m on a 6950xt and I get 100+ fps on any settings with out rtx at 4k but with rtx it goes to 12fps any solutions.
Thanks for this video, I was worried it wouldn't work because I have a significantly less powerful Ryzen 9/3070 Ti laptop, however I copied them identically and set the resolution to match my 3440/1440p ultrawide and I still see 60-65-70fps. It's a good experience and the stutters are gone, previous on high I was getting 22fps and on low everything I was only getting 60.
FYI, you need to restart this stupid game after every change whether it asks you to or not, even uploading a clip/photo taken in-game then tanked my performance down to 20fps indefinitely and a restart would triple performance. Insane that this level of jank is in a AAA title.
my game is absolutely broken.... everything ultra, no raytracing 1080p
fps unlocked: 15-25fps (100% gpu usage)
fps capped at 30: 30fps stable (60% gpu usage)
fps capped at 60: 55-60fps (80-90% gpu usage)
its makes absolutely no sense i even have visual glitches like artifacts, map not loading at all barriers despawning etc...
my specs are way above recommended though:
RTX 4070Ti
i9 9900k @5GHz (stable for months)
DDR4 64GB RAM (4x16GB) 3600MHz
game is installed on a decent HDD which has more than 300GB still free
not even cyberpunk with 30 mods runs this bad, or should i say, my 4070ti doesnt bottleneck in 1080p on any game

i tried everything he said in the video, made my fps barely to 70fps, i then checked every setting to see what decreases the performance the most and suddenly ended up with all settings on ultra on 4k with 80fps...
i dont know why but somehow i got triple the fps than before just because i went from ultra settings to medium/high, restarted and went to ultra settings again and thats it, more fps, same settings i had 30fps with just 20 mins ago
I will be more than happy with 70fps stable (on a 60Hz screen would be perfect) but this game keeps changing every time, its like its possessed... I need a solution asap

Game is bugged out :D Shows dlss in options when i´m in main menu, but during a race it shows amd fsr2.0 (i´m on nvidia), so both is available

I used most of your settings, but I'm getting like 30fps anyways, maxing at around 40s or so... Is my laptop not that good? Should I crank things down?
A 4060 Laptop gpu is comparable to a Desktop 2080 or 2080super. Also you´re extremely limited by temperature and your card will clock down way faster than a desktop gpu.
Although I´m playing on a 2080super with most settings like in this video (some even higher) with stable 60+ FPS

How the hell do you have 60 FPS ultra with 3080, on 1440p, and I can't get it on 1080p with 3070 on MEDIUM(!)?
Forza Horizon 5 have a beast opmitation in PC, one of the best games in PC about that. However, Forza motorsport (early acces) perfomance is pretty bad for me sadly :S. 6700xt right here and perfomance is really bad...
Too bad that when you race online with a PC, against console players, you get limited on FPS. Poor optimization on Turn10s part :/
What pc specs should I have. My 3080 doesn’t handle it as well I thought it would be
I've got a 3060 ti and its just fine at 70-100 fps. I'd suggest turning off overlays from xbox, discord, steam, etc. It gave me a significant boost.
For now, I got everything set to auto, which looks okay and runs somewhat smoothly. Fiddling around with the settings isn't really worth it in my opinion, or at least on my system.
I can't get the game to feel smooth with my RTX 3080 and R9 5900X using custom or forced Ultra settings. DLSS does nothing, my GPU is sitting at roughly 50% usage while my CPU is at 3%, VRAM also isn't maxed out. The benchmark is claiming an average 510 FFPS for CPU-Simulations, so that also shouldn't be a bottleneck. No idea what's going on, hope they fix it quickly. The Steam reviews are going to be brutal, that's for sure.
FYI there is an option for amd users in the menu where yours says NVIDIA DLSS. It's called AMD FSR and it's a similar function but not quite as optimized as DLSS. It's also offered in any game through the AMD software. I have not tried to use it yet in this game but I'll check it out tonight and report back to see if it gave any improvements. I'm using a 6650 XT mid range card so I'm not sure if it would be worth it.

@@MrDacedric still haven’t tried it myself. Stinks it’s crashing the game. I’ve been able to get it pretty stable and decent fps by adjusting setting to a set value like medium, high, or ultra and turning off all dynamic settings.
when i turn that feature ons it freezes my entire pc. and it’s only with that game amd fsr works on every other game i play that supports it
Thanks mate! Game was running pretty smooth with 4k / 59 fps. Changed to your recommended settings and got 25 fps and dlss dispearing and never comings back (restart game/windows not helping).
Fyi - When you set DLSS in "Basic Video" and then alter the Resolution Scale in "Advance Video" this switches off DLSS. You can see the change at the end of your 3rd benchmark. Don't forget to turn DLSS back on if you alter that setting guys.

i’m having the same issue with the same cpu, i got a R5 5600x and a amd rx 5600xt so i’m in the middle ground and still having track flickering issues
With ray tracing on I was getting like 80fps. Turned it off and I’m getting about 100. But it fluctuates. I am fine with keeping it at 60 vsync.
I applied the settings above but am still experiencing my scenery on the sides of the track at times disappearing and reappearing. I also have sections of my track stripped of anything but a flat black image I'm driving on, usually each track has one area like a turn with that happening in which I am thankful I have the drive lines on for turns. I'm not sure exactly what is causing that as I am only using half the vram usage with these settings applied (16 MB). I was even experiencing this at times on Forza Horizon 5 and couldn't fix that issue as long as I've owned the game since launch so I guess it's just a lost cause. Aside that the game looks and runs great.

@@gdreali have 5600x with rx6800, had the game on external hard drive. most of the textures never loaded, but after i moved the files to nvme, game runs perfectly
For me I only have VRAM OF 4000mb… try bunch of different setting and realize if I turn off HDR I can boost another 20-30FPS.
So disappointing that I gotta look up settings when games come out for pc on game pass because they never launch properly optimized
The stutter count is my issue. I have a 3090, its the stutters that are driving me nuts.
My issue is the fps capped at 60fps no matter what I do. Is there a fix for that? I have almost everything at max settings with RT off. Offline gameplay by the way.
Go to the "performance target" setting and set to Unlocked.

I have a 3070TI and this game is just a blurry mess! Motorsport 7 and Horizon 5 look so crisp on my rig. No matter if i turn off dlss altogether or turn on dlaa. I hate that so much. Why do developers remove the option that we use MSAA only like all of the titles before.

@gdreal that cpu is pretty weak in all honesty my I7 laptop cpu is faster unfortunately most games now days have got way more demanding you could try and OC your cpu and see what you get
@@ickilla a 5600x is a solid cpu and completely fine for this game. i´m running a 8700k+2080s everything on highest settings and still get 60+ fps. The problem is not his cpu but the game. it´s behaving completely different for everybody.

RTAO looks wired in my case , like graphical error. Its looks better Car Reflections Only whitout any RTAO option, I have a 4060TI 16Gb 🤔
I cannot get this game to stay above 60. I have a 7800x3d, 3080, 64gb 6000mhz ram, m.2 install, etc. Temps are good. However sometimes it will run at 90 max settings, then next race it tanks to 30s. Sometimes it jumps back up to 45-60 on the next one. Really frustrating how poorly they've done with this first Steam release of their Motorsport series, feels like they aren't even trying anymore when Horizon is a joke but still a better quality game.
All I've learned from owning a 7900 xtx is that vram isn't everything. A 4080 super probably has enough vram for any game and handles raytracing better so if I could go back in time I'd probably just get that instead.

Have a 3090 and a 13900KF and 6000mhz DDR5. Play at 1440P 166Hz, I guess I can run everything at max and still get a solid 80-100FPS?

Friend of mine has a 3090ti. His game was set to everything ultra + full rt and he gets 75+ fps in almost every scenario
This game is terribly optimized and the auto settings doesn't work well.
Even in high-end gpu's the performance is awful.

@rsonikamuri It's the same with starfield, enjoyable with 4090, but still had a few drops, nothing game changing, probably the same here. I'm more concerned about the ffb than anything else tbh

for me the game looks ugly as hell, the badges on the back of cars are halfway there, and it looks like theres a grey film over everything. I think I'll come back when they fix the look of it lmao

Game full of bugs and poorly optimized, I have absurd fps drops, freezes for up to 5 seconds and crashes, how Turn10 releases this crap after 6 years of development is a shame for Microsoft.

My can run cyberpunk at high with raytracing ultra at 60fps but not this game lol
I have a 4080, tested all setting. other then Rtx, no setting change framerate... i tried minecraft forza and still having only 47fps average,
The problem is not only low fps, but when it stutter it affect steering control... this is a very disappointing launch,
I have a 4070 ti, I just put everything on low and left it at 4k to play multiple games, at least the fixed 60 fps is maintained, on the wheel it's a lot of fun.
I went from 70fps leaving it alone, to around 40fps with these settings lol
This game is so poorly optimized
The decision for dynamic and auto settings for everything in this is the worst decision I’ve ever fucking seen, it is rare that any game includes this setting correctly, even then, you should be able to DISABLE IT
Just change the dynamic optimization setting to custom on the basic video settings tab. Afterwards switch to advanced video tab and select whatever you want configured (make sure to remove auto from all the settings) and it will be disabled completely.
The game looks and feels so bland and terrible. I regret the 450 euros on buying a steering wheel to play it

The 60 fps benchmark result doesn’t seem to reflect actual performance though. Go back into Hakone, noon, clear weather and you’ll be right back down to 49 fps. (Even restarting game and/or rebooting computer.) I’m using 4070 and Ryzen 5950x. As far as I can tell, none of the setting configurations are producing a consistent performance.
Most of this issue is cpu related if the cpu suffers low single core performance it bottlenecks the game DF did a video about this
