I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL MAN!!! Just got a dope rig from a buddy of mine and I have an RTX 1080TI this thing doesn’t seem like it can handle new games… but when properly optimized (with your help) this thing gets 90 fps with no stuttering using slightly higher settings than you recommended in the video!!! Thank you x100000 man!
@AnthonyMoon-n2z yep, this graphics card is an absolute beast. I get 80fps on max photorealistic graphics on Assetto corsa. I don’t even need a gpu upgrade for a while just a cpu eventually
@@Outcast-AC you mean GTX 1080 Ti? yeah that GPU still banging till this day, but recent titles like Alan Wake 2 starting to use mesh shader and Pascal GPU does not support it, but i guess it's still fine for a few years to come
Also DLAA and DLSS can completely broke bloom and lens flare effects, making the most severe case - How Wheels lava pits, flamethrower decorations or snowy areas unplayable.
The video was straight to the point. Thank you very much! This video helped me a lot. From 50-60 average fps to 90-100 average fps Again thank you very very much!
this game on 34" ultrawide monitor, using DLDSR 2.25 so internal resolution of roughly 4k (slightly above) and displaying it at 1440p, at 100fps :D :D - just beautiful! xD - probably best looking game I have experienced YET lol, only just got into PC gaming a few weeks ago, jumping from console... omg, what a difference ;)
I found that high and ultra presets are working fine in terms of good image quality and performance ratio, if I remember correctly Xbox Series X use high preset for performance 1080p 60fps mode and ultra for 4K MSAA x4 30fps quality mode. So I'm just switching between high and ultra for competitive 144fps and casual 60fps gameplay. But yeah, thanks to those optimization guides you can squeeze up to 50% performance in both FH4 and FH5 while keeping Ultra preset level of image quality.
Fantastic video, exactly what I'm looking for! I love optimizing my games before starting to play. I just couldn't understand what is your recommended anti-aliasing setting, I got confused a little bit there, but I selected 4xMSAA and my fps is around 120 so I'm happy about it.
Very helpful video, thanks. I can use max settings at 4k, but I wanted to get higher fps so this tells me what I can turn down with minimal noticeable impact.
from what ive gathered, the extreme setting is rarely worth it, hardly looks different for a pretty big performance cost, atleast compared to going from high to ultra
I hope you will also cover the latest Forza Motorsport as the settings it uses are very weird, pretty misleading and the game is pretty unoptimized. Not only that, but seems noone has covered that game in terms of how much each setting impact the framerate. Thanks!
Great video! You mentioned something about the Environment Geometry Quality being cpu or gpu bound, how does one go about changing that it so its bound to their gpu instead?
Getting more powerfull GPU or reducing details/resolution. Option one will cause more frames rendered=more calls to CPU so it will start to become the limiting factor while keeping the details but overall better performance. Option two will reduce strain on GPU since there's less stuff to do so it can render more frames=give more calls to CPU but you will sacrifice detail.
@@Stratos1988 Im running an Intel i9 9900K and a 2070 Super, with a funky combination of 24g's of ram creeping along at 2133MHz. Willing to bet my ram speed has something to do with it but im no expert.
@@Daniel-oj3xk Yup, missamatched RAM can mess things up, though I know this platform ain't that picky about memory. Unless you are at low speed with high latency, than it will be a visible problem. I used to have 2070 non S with 8700 non K and ram OC'd to 3600, so I know it's just fine to run this game 1440p pre RTX update, aside from Guanajuato. Of course you don't need overkill RAM as like I said, 8th and 9th gen don't really scale with speed. You'd have to watch some benchmarks but from the top of my head 3000mhz CL15 is the starting point of diminishing returns.
Could you try NEED FOR SPEED UNBOUND NEXT? They’ve been updating the game heavily also could you try to add in Image Scaling as well to boost performance?
TAA and AMD FSR 2.2 cannot be enabled at the same time. Which of the two should I enable? What value should I set the TAA sharpness to? And AMD FSR 2.2? Balanced, Quality or Performance? And what level of sharpness? What do you think about AMD FIDELITYFX CAS as an additional upscaling method?
theres one additional setting hiding in the "HUD AND GAMEPLAY" section, Lens Effects (Distortion and CA) On or Off. Unfortunately it is bugged in ultrawide resolutions and doesn't turn off properly but it should at least work in 16:9 and how did you get RTSS to work? i thought it was blocked with an anti cheat update in 2023
Yes I've noticed it, it works fine with 16:9 but it shouldn't make any performance impact if that's what you are looking for. I had no issues with RTSS, it works fine at least with the Game Pass version.
Unfortunately Nukem9's Mod in this game will give you "Proxy DLL fatal error" instead. The problem in Forza 5 is that even if you had 8GB, the game will use like 6.9GB (nice) or so in the game so you can't really taking advantage of that 8GB fully with Ultra textures without getting annoyed by the VRAM warning and get reduced GPU power usage. I wish we can turn that off in the setting but that's just a wishful thinking for now. 🤷♀
but really good, horizon 5 looks only on extreme. geometry detail, vegetation density and rendering distance are simply magnificent. much higher than on ultra settings.
Here's a little doubt, does 1080p feel worse lately or do I need an eye checkup. I tried Forza 5 recently and I tried out optimizing settings for my own liking but the game looks weirdly bland sometimes. Is it because most of it is all sandy? Forza 4 looked really good. TAA is just blurry on the all the games I've played so I avoid it like a plague. Please help my fellow 1080p enjoyers :(
TAA can look blurry based off how it’s done. It’s why many people don’t like it. I recommend using DLSS or DLAA if you can as it offers much better image quality for Nvidia GPUs. Of course there is MSAA too but it often leaves stuff like foliage untouched by AA because of how modern games render stuff
This game doesn't look good even on DLAA either lately. The electric wire poles are still look jaggy eieff. I don't mind if it need pixel peeping to notice but this is really obvious. You can literally spot it in no time whether during motion or static scenes. 🤷♀
Depends on various components. Your monitor PPI, Monitor Settings, CC Profile etc. Have been playing on 4K since May 2013, so I cant be much help for 1080p. FH5 isnt a particularly good looking, but its really easy to run. Use MFAA for AA. Also definitely reshade.
I've tried but doing a regular optimization guide for that game is not possible. I'll get wiped out so fast before finishing recording the visual impact of any setting 😅
The default optimized settings for online competitive games are low settings always. Don't worry about the graphics. These games should be looking worse anyway to give more frames. Don't be like other competitive UE5 titles where low looks like ultra uhhm umm. 🤷♀
To be fair, there is not a single game that which FG doubled the fps for me, %50-60 gains at best and sometimes even around %15-20 which is not worth it.
Could you please please please PLEASE do one on Fortnite? I'm sick of all the "THESE ARE THE BEST SETTINGS THAT PROS USE" videos. I just want to know the performance rates/drops and what each looks like compared to off-maximum
