The SWAT X1, the Burris Oracle X scope, Burt Coyote Lumenoks, the Swhacker 150 grain broadheads, and Dragon Claw arrows. This, Friends of Bunjie, is Crossbow Perfection! It takes many forms, and other setups might work better for you, but give this a listen!
The BURRIS ORACLE X TOOL can be purchased here: macustom3ddesigns.etsy.com . I bought a couple of them. Totally worth it!

Bunjie (The O.B.) is a 2010 Excalibur Axiom Crossbow. After more than a decade of killing deer, hogs, squirrels, woodchucks, and even a bear, Bunjie is now semi-retired. Enter Bunjie III (or Bunjie '21, Bunjie 3.0, The Slick Black Cadillac of Crossbows) a 2021 Scorpyd Deathstalker 420, the result of trying various models and looking at dozens of them online for characteristics I liked. It is, in fact, a gift from a Friend of Bunjie, which goes to show how important Friends of Bunjie are to this channel and what an impact they can have. Bunjie III is a testament to modern crossbows, producing over .7 slugs of momentum and almost 140 ft-lbs of kinetic energy with stock arrows--at nearly 400 fps!
Bunjie, Jr., is my daughter Genevieve's crossbow, an Excalibur Micro Suppressor 355. This crossbow was also a much appreciated gift from a Friend of Bunjie, and it changed Death by Bunjie forever by inspiring Genevieve to become a part of our story as a second-generation crossbow hunter, and it also convinced me there is a benefit to a newer, faster crossbow (see our 2020 Maryland Doe Hunt).
Again, I am not sponsored by these companies. I am sponsored by Friends of Bunjie! (I'm not asking for gifts whatsoever--please don't feel like you should send me stuff! But I do appreciate the support I've received over the years! I'm just trying to express my appreciation for that.)
This channel is the result of combining my interest in filming and hunting...and music, too! My related channel, Yankee Militia, showcases my music. Some of the music is hunting-related, so check that out, too! The soundtrack for this channel is provided by my band, so the two are intertwined. The albums "Live Free or Kill" and "Zombies Gotta Eat, Too!" are available on Amazon.com and elsewhere. A third album is in the works.
    All Hail Bunjie!

A new set from the same company, the ones they sell now are the right ones. I bought this extra set when I bought the crossbow. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for manufacturers to put stuff out there without them being thoroughly tested in this day and age, I guess. But it really likes the sets they sell now.

Rich! I hope you read this comment~ Because of your review I laid aside my Ravin R26 and bought this bow. Also bought the Trident pure silicone grease, and too found it very hard to apply. So, I went in and found one of my older bolts, looked through my gun cleaning attachments and found a "30 cal." swab that actually screwed right into my bolt! Long story short - cocked the bow, dipped the swab in the grease, ran it up the rail track one time, totally lubed the rail areas needing lube, job done! Swab can be removed from the bolt, placed in a small plastic baggie and can be attached to your uncocking bolt in seconds, totally transportable resolution to lubing the rail on this magnificently designed bow. All that said, I still have my R26, however this bow seems much more "carry friendly" and love the added bonus of foot stirrup serving as a stand. Watch all your and Genevieve's videos I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to them. Thanks for your efforts!

I have been shooting an Excalibur since the 405 came out. It has shot nine bucks since my wife got it for me on our anniversary. I had to replace the limbs after the first year and it's been good since. I'm now looking for a new one and I think it's going to be a mission the main reason is because they put bearings in the cams instead of the limbs I don't know of any other crossbow that does that including ten point or raven that's how I made my choice it should last me the rest of the time I have left. I'm really glad the Swat X1 is working out great for you. Killer Instinct has left such a bad taste in my mouth over the years when it comes to quality control on their crossbows. Having owned 4 different ones and 3 out of the 4 not making it pass say 50 shots on each of them with broken limbs, cables breaking etc. Going from heavy arrows to light arrows, nothing would make them shoot or perform correct for me. Plus, their customer service is non-existence. Heck even their own FB group is mostly issues with the crossbows they make. I just had to look at different companies to see what else was out there. I really like the look and style of the Swat and would love to get one to see how it does but so hard for me to spend the funds on a company that I personally had so many issues with their products in the past.

Kind of disappointing to tell you the truth as I just bought this bow a few months ago but, I guess car manufacturers sell you new cars with tires these days good for about 30k miles max. Nice to see the bubble level installed! Tonight I shot a nice buck at 51 yards with my R500. He was perfectly broadside when I shot. In one shoulder out the other! Perfect right??? I’m shooting my self built arrows at 440gr. With my favorite swhacker 150gr broad heads. What concerns me is that when I field dressed the deer I only had a single lung hit🤔🤔. Hi Rick, just a thought. I am 72 and recovering from cancer surgery. Missed archery season this year for that reason. Looking forward I see a limited number of seasons in my indefinite future. I love my Excalibur crossbows but I think I need to go to something lighter and more compact. I do not want to spend a fortune with it being uncertain if or how much I can expect to hunt going forward. I started out with a tenpoint vengant 440 and sold it for a tenpoint stealth 450. Love it for turkey but after watching so many archery videos I decided to get a compound. I got the hoyt torrex. It's been very expensive to learn and get the thing dialed in but I'm hitting bullseye at 100 yards now. Have a month left to get my deer. I have 2 tags so I'm going for a doe first and a buck later. I just watched your rant about Excalibur and have seen some of your other misgivings in other videos. This year I am hunting with my father in laws Horton just to prove that I actually enjoy hunting/want to continue before I drop real money on my own setup. I had been leaning toward Excalibur for the simplicity and so was surprised by your video. Is the whole lineup problematic? Or is it more an issue with their higher speed crossbows like the assassin extreme?
My local archery supply only sells Excalibur because he got tired of dealing with the warrantee on strings from the ultra high speed models from various manufacturers.

Our bad experience was with a 355 micro. New limbs are an improvement maybe? We'll see. But I prefer more speed with a heavier arrow than the excals can provide anyway, and I don't want a crank...so there's that, too. Different strokes for different folks!
