I left a lot of important information out and the software did not let me upgraded as you mention in the video. So, I'm starting my SAM registration process but I am someone who is applying to a job that requires this registration. I get that in general, I'd be a contractor under the federal government but the language used confuses me so much. Being referred to as a business (when I don't have a business) and then asking me to input company information, I'm confused about if I'm supposed to put information about the company that I'm applying to i.e. physical address, mailing address, fiscal year info. or if I'm supposed to put my home physical address, etc.

Hi, Mariah! You are considered a Sole Proprietor. You can use your SSN and Last, First name as company name!

Hi David. I get that question a lot. Go back into your entity registration in your SAM account. You have to click through all of the company assertions, reps and certs...everything you went through when you first registered in SAM. After you click through everything, the page from the last will have an "Update SBA Profile" box. If you click that, it will take you to a different website. This is the only way to access your DSBS profile..you have to back into it from the last registration page in SAM. Hope this helps!

Your business headquarters address should reflect the primary location that you intend to conduct business as well as reflect the state you are registered in ( you have to have a business registered in your State and the IRS prior to registering it to become eligible to receive government contract awards). You can have multiple business locations/offices.

Thank you for helping us with this but i had a problem at the DUNS number. When i went to register my business it didn’t automatically give me a number. It listed other businesses and gave me an option to click on link to register my business needing things i don’t have like a TIN, DBA/assumed name certificate filing, lease agreement, utility bill. I thought that was weird. My business is mobile so i don’t have a lease or utility bill nor their other request.
Your business must already be registered with your State and the IRS (FEIN/TIN) prior to applying for a DUNS number. In other words, you must already have a business to register before trying to register for Government Contracts, otherwise you're trying to register a non-entity.
Is there a cost for this registration?

Need your guidance and assistance does the entity address in DUNS, CAGE and SAM need to be the same in order to successfully register a non US entity
Currently I have completed the DUNS and CAGE process and I am about to start the SAM process in a day or two.
However our company has been allocated a DUNS number but it is not reflecting online and does not show up the company.
There is a requirement for a notarized letter by fsd.gov when registering my company in SAM
Is it a mandatory requirement and does the address on the letter has to correspond with the address in DUNS, CAGE and SAM to avoid going back and forth
I want to register a company which is based in Qatar
Also would like to know before I start with SAM, can I update the address of my entity in DUNS and CAGE as I am changing the office location

Hi Lauren. I have never heard of this. Do you have any more context surrounding it? When it comes to setting up the two numbers are DUNS Numbers and CAGE codes

The banking info you can go back and add. I thought a DUNS was a requirement to even register, so I'm not sure how that went through. I saw your note in the group about calling customer service. I think that is the best bet for now. They should be able to get you updated.

Hi, Evan. Good question. I'll admit, business outside the US is not my area of expertise. I know that it is possible to conduct business as a foreign entity with the US. You have to apply for an NCAGE code (NATO ). I have a buddy who works on Canadian government contracts, so I would consider that first if you haven't already.
