Not sure of the presenter's name, but her channel is superior to all others for information about responding to federal opportunities.

    Let's address ASN. I recently spoke with my family about supporting the Navy again and they were not happy. Considering the nature of the case, I'm still not inclined to provide direct ASN RDA support, but will support the work if that make sense (bridge/omnibus) via a different client. Also, as the Founder and CEO) I'm only inclined to provide services at the advisory level (1 star above/SES equivalent) and can hire and train employees for other work. I also need to get the Ok from J along with Supreme Court way-in and but-in. Regarding SOW's keep in mind foreign relations.

    I absolutely love your videos❤they are truly golden!!! I just have a couple of questions really hope you can help me better understand.
    1. How long does it take for them to respond to sources soughts?
    2. How would a prime, that plans on using a sub, respond to a sources sought? Would we use the subs address, website, and past commercial experience?
    3. If they ask for a reference, who would the prime use as a reference when working with a sub?
    4. Should a Prime find a Subcontractor Before or After responding to a sources sought? Because I thought a prime only reaches out to a sub AFTER being awarded the contract. Would it make sense to reach out to a sub before, gathering all their information, just to possibly not even win the award?
    Can you please help explain it from this perspective and make it make sense because I am so confused. Thanks

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  Рік тому +4

      Thanks for posting your questions and for helping the community, because I’m sure others are wondering the same things. First, if you submit a response to a Sources Sought Notice, you may not receive any response from the agency. I suggest you take the initiative and follow up yourself with the point of contact. This gives you an opportunity to touch base with them.
      Second, on using subcontractors. I suggest you line up your subcontractors as early as possible. You definitely want to name them in your bid, because you want to use their past performance experience. If you are submitting the offer, then you would use your business name, address, UEI, etc. for your proposal. But you would clearly identify them as part of your team and use their past performance experience (as well as your own). Another reason to line up subcontractors early is it may get you better pricing. For example, you don’t want to call someone a day before a bid is due and say, “I need to know your price right now!”. Chances are, you may get better pricing if you are not doing it last minute.

    • @shantemeryl9469
      @shantemeryl9469 Рік тому +2

      @@FedAccess Thank you so much for responding!! This means so much to me!!
      So when responding, how soon do you suggest I follow up?
      And should I clarify that I am using subcontractors or make it appear as if they are apart of my team and we are one big business?
      And when you say line up subcontractors ahead of time, how do you suggest I pitch my approach with these subs before even having any work for them, to get all the info I need.
      Also when getting pricing from a sub, how much percentage for profit should a prime add to their sub’s price before submitting?
      Srry for all the questions! Thanks again!!

      If your company will be submitting the bid to the government, then your company should be the one submitting the response to the Sources Sought notice. In your response, you can explain that you have formed a team to meet the government's requirements, and then you can discuss the experience of all of your team members.

    Great information but when you respond to the source and sought stating you are interested in the potential future contract, do you need to get bids from different subcontractors Before you respond or it is not necessary until you get to the phase where you are actually bidding on the contract?

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  7 місяців тому +1

      There's no pricing in a response to a Sources Sought, so you don't need to get bids, however, you do want to show that you have the capabilities to do the work, which means that you may want to include your teaming partners in your response to the Sources Sought.

    Is it possible we can ask you a question about whether or not we should include a particular statement or not in our presentation to each agency? (The statement is not well known. However, every military/intelligence personnel we've asked the question to has agreed with the statement) E.g. Our products provide maximum energy savings in a building(through the use of utmost energy efficient technology) and consequently also contributes to utmost defence capability when used by a country/region en masse. I.e. Should we include any statements about the national defence capability of our products to agencies not related to Defence? Thank you very much for your help.

    • @worldpower6825
      @worldpower6825 Рік тому

      @@FedAccess Very reasonable, logical and perfectly explained. Please permit me to ask you a few follow up questions...Regarding ..."talk about benefits...the agency cares about", are the things the agency cares about posted in their "About Us" page or how do we quickly learn what the mission of each agency is? Ultimately, can you advise us as to which agencies our products may be of benefit to? Our products are utmost energy efficient HVAC products, which constitutes the largest percentage of all energy consumed in the U.S. residential energy market (up to 80% of all consumed energy in some regions). Therefore, the less energy consumed with utmost energy efficient HVAC, the lower the material cost needed for the PV(solar power) system, making PV systems more affordable (in addition to lower electric consumption bills). And for the military benefit, when Millions of buildings using PV contribute to a countries power supply, that country will be better defended against aerial warfare and electrical system destruction compared with conventional electrical production methods. (because it will take Millions of strikes and much more time to destroy Millions of PV buildings compared with a relatively few conventional power plant sites.) Thank you very much for helping us with our very unusual questions!

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  Рік тому +1

      The website of the office will explain what their mission is. Just make sure you are looking at the level of the individual office, not the larger agency. As an example, within the Department of Energy is the Office of Environmental Management. If you look at the website of the Office of Environmental Management you might be surprised that they don't mention energy even though they are within the Department of Energy. To find out who buys what you sell, i would search FPDS and USASpending. Check out my video What To Do First and my video on how to search FPDS. Good luck!
