I have a 71 project car, but it was born with a 307 and standard bumper. It had a 350 smogger with a spun bearing when I pulled it out of a field and now has another 350 and TH400 that I had from a previous car. Somebody added the big 3 piece spoiler (the single was still the standard Z28 spoiler) at some point as well as repainting it red with black stripes. But it only cost $800 so I'm not complaining.
All around that is a GREAT looking Camaro!! 👍👍👍
One thing cool about the 2nd generation f bodies was how different a 70 looked when compared to the later ones. Same body but widely varying looks between the earlier and later designs, both looked good though.
10 bolt 8.5 ring gear is plenty strong with the big yoke on the pinion/prop shaft. Excellent Camaro SS tribute.
That split bumper is a great look.

That's probably one my top ten favorite cars featured in this show. The other is the 72 Chevelle SS white on black.
Those 396'S can run with anything back then with a little head work.

I had a 70 & 1/2 RS 350 with a 327 high HP v8 in it this is the best looking Camaro IMHO it had a small rear spoiler great look . The wheels I would use are the Daisy type , not a fan of the wheels on the Z28 .. OK not the best .

The trunk should stay up on its own. Cars with spoilers had different torque rods than those without. Either the torque rods are worn, or are wrong for it and it did not have a spoiler originally. I would have liked to have seen the cowl tag on this one.

You are a wealth of knowledge, however, the stripes are not part of the RS package. The stripes were part of Z28 package.

Those are NOT RS stripes, those are Z28 stripes!

What does undocumented mean?
It means that while it looks the part of an RS SS 396, It has not been validated that it actually left the factoy as one.

ZERO credibility in terms of originality, or INVESTMENT. There is so much FAKE
stuff out there these days, I wouldn't waste my time with such a car.
At Least they Tell you up Front vs trying to shiest the unknowing People, but there are plenty of tells on these cars anyway even though GM of USA didn't keep good production data, Canada was the King there, The Number of People that Care whether its a REAL SS 396 car is Dwindling Very Fast, watch what's bringing the big Bucks at Auctions!

Place is a scam 6 speed in a 71 z28 never made a ss in 71
The 3-piece COPO spoiler was available as an option after April 1970. It wasn't a "1971 and on" spoiler. Do your research before you get on the internet and preach.
