You're bouncing back Steve! Each video you post shows an increase in your energy level...I love your no-nonsnse delivery AND your sense of humor...YER BACK ON THE BLOCK, BROTHA!
I would imagine the generosity of so many viewers, subscribers, fans, and friends contributing to his go fund me, likely eased A LOT of stress in his life so that he can recover even more quickly. I never contributed to one before. I had to look in to how to do it. It was surprisingly easy. I didn't want to be left out of this worthy cause.
High Octane Classics should put the link to Steve's go fund me in the description of all future videos. It's an absolute miracle this man is still with us, and icing on the cake that he's back doing what he loves. God bless the medical people who kept this good man alive. This tragedy has now become the feel good story we so desperately needed. Steve, your recovery is also healing us. Thank you.
I prefer your phrase for the hood scoops - "Ram air for the people". Stunning color combo and the 4 speed/396 would be a LOT of fun with the A/C making it comfortable. You're looking better every day, keep healing. Thank you again High Octane Classics ~ Chuck
Good to see you back as usual.... We got the VIN (from the HOC website), we win: 1 for Chevrolet, 36 for Malibu V8, 37 for two door sport coupe, 9 for 1969 model year, K for Kansas City, MO assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Kansas City (Leeds), MO plant operated from 1929 until 1988 and was closed as it was landlocked and could not be expanded. It was only recently knocked down. We got (from the HOC website), the tag, we can brag: ST69 for 1969 model year, 13637 for Chevrolet (1) Malibu (36) two door sport coupe (37), KAN for Kansas City (Leeds), MO assembly, 765 for Metallic Blue coated fabric bucket seat interior trim, 51 for Dusk Blue lower exterior paint, E for Parchment vinyl top, 01E for the fifth week of January 1969 production, L for Malibu V8 sport coupe, among other codes.
My parents had a 396 Chevy station wagon. It had to be one of the quickest wagons ever made by anyone. It would wipe the eyes of a later smog-motor Plymouth 440 wagon we had.
So good to see you knocking around steve, getting stronger everyday!! Thanks for getting that gofundme page up, feels good knowing we could all flip a few bucks your way to help your mind relax and not worry quite so much about medical bills and such..just focus on your health and keep bringing us these great videos buddy, we all love ya !!! Ps: you lost a few pounds too, can't be a bad thing I suppose 👍
The Chevelle SS 454 in 1970 was in my opinion by far and away the best looking muscle car of that era. I know it was not the fastest, but it was the best looking. Especially in red with a black vinyl top and black stripes. Oh to have one today.
Always EXPERT details of these Chevelles, thanks to Steve! I like the color of this '69 and happen to own the El Camino SS 396 version in the same color. Thanks for defining the availability of the SS in post form (300 deluxe) as well as correct snorkel air cleaner on the 325 hp version of the 396. Speedy recovery, Steve!
I’ll be driving one of these beasts in a little over a week - Frost Green with a black vinyl top! Unfortunately, it will be to take the owner’s ashes to the cemetery and their final resting place……..☹ RIP, Johnny - I wish we still had many more afternoons in the garage ahead of us……..😢
After things settle down with his family, maybe offer to buy the car. Nothing will do your departed friend better justice than to have his pride and joy in the hands of a friend who will take care of it.
Those stock munci shifters sucked. I had one in my 69 elco with an m20. They were mounted to the crossmember, not the trans itself. At high rpm they would bind up and miss third every time. My car had a pretty hot lil small block that would rev to 7200. I ditched that shifter for the classic hurst super comp shifter. World of difference.
I'll bet that Chevelle that Craig Jackson and Steve Davis still haven't ponied up any $ to take care of Steve who was instrumental in making Barrett Jackson TV coverage what it is.
My first ride was a '68 SS Chevelle, and I was always jealous of the 69 and 70 models. I thought they just nailed the styling in those years. Great car, and great vid, Steve!!
Hey Steve. That is a sweet car. The first thing I see when I look at a classic car is the wheels/tires. If it has ghettos, I don't give it a second look. That one may not have the proper wheels for the year, but they are not larger than 15" in diameter, so they are not ghetto. BFG Radial T/A RWL tires no less. Beautiful.
I have a 69’ Malibu factory 300hp 350 4 speed same colour combination original interior with buckets and console plus factory tach. Great to see you doing well and keep up all the great content.
So glad to see you bouncing back to health Steve!🙏slowly but steadily! I love those ss! I remember as a teenager in the 70s in Puerto Rico my Dad’s cousin bought one exactly like that one! I believe he bought it brand new in 69! And till this day he still owns it! He’s a retired teacher.

We Love You Steve!
Take Care.
High Octane Classics is lucky to have Steve. I'm guessing that at least half of the viewers only watch these videos because Steve is in them.

Great to see you walking and talking
Glad to see Steve is doing better and better. Plus an awesome car is icing on the cake!

Steve is the perfect face or figurehead for High Octane Classics.... they couldn't ask for a better representative.
Steve: you are one of a kind and we need you to be, and you deserve to be healthy and happy forever.
Another great car! Mom had a '69 Malibu with the same distinctive tail lights.
Great looking car!!
Good to see you back as usual....

You sound good, Steve!
That’s the best looking year for Chevelle in that body style

I had two back in the day. One was a 300 with a factory 300hp 350, turbo 400 and 12 bolt.
Your dancing career on the TikTok may be over, but your car knowledge is still 100%.
Good job as always, Steve. Keep it up.
Beautiful example of a '69 Chavelle SS from the best car presenter in the business

Staying spry showing off these deadly vehicles.
Thanks! Steve Loved the Chevelle SS

6 views and 6 likes. Don't screw it up people.
They always seem to.
Yep I had '68&'69 Buick Gran Sports in the 350&400 variety. Same body style
Steve! You're back! Take it slow!
Nice!!!!!

@@googleusergp - Yes, the thought has crossed my mind. He has two cars that are very nice - the ‘69 Chevelle SS and a ‘62 Impala SS…….🫤

Wish the startup and idle were in the video!
Still here Steve
🖖
Brother, pulling for you like a big block.
What color is that? I love it!
Didn't the Yenko, and the COPO cars come with a 427?
I'll bet that Chevelle that Craig Jackson and Steve Davis still haven't ponied up any $ to take care of Steve who was instrumental in making Barrett Jackson TV coverage what it is.
We don’t know that. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions. I agree Steve makes the show!!
Then why is he forced to sell his house and car's?
His true fans are contributing to his go fund me page.
They should pay his medical bills... they are multi millionaire's after all.
The 69 Chevelle always plays 2nd fiddle to the 70.. It good since these are much cheaper…
How much I want it
✊🏼⛽️
I never knew the 300 came as an SS
68 was the best looking year I think they ruined the 69 with no vent window and ugly taillights....but definitely dig the color combo on this one
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. 📏📝📓🎓🍎
Boycott Barret Jackson
Thank you Steve!👍
I remember a bunch of guys, in my town, coming back from Nam and buying these to celebrate.
I don't know of anyone who knows more about these cars than you Steve 🤓
Stay well, Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you, Steve!
Fantastic looking car... very desirable...
And I'm a FORD guy!
Beautiful Chevelle... big block and a 4 speed... what more do you want? Great job Steve.
Great to see you back Steve! I really love your shows. Any progress on the Hanley hauler?
My first ride was a '68 SS Chevelle, and I was always jealous of the 69 and 70 models. I thought they just nailed the styling in those years. Great car, and great vid, Steve!!
Keep swinging SteveO! We are with ya friend. Nice hot rod BTW.......

Hello Steve.
Hi Steve! I have the El Camino version of this car but with the 350 hp TH 400 option. Unlike my 1969 Charger RT I was smart enough to hang onto it 😋
I enjoy watching your sales videos but I'm praying you are ok did you get sick or something.....hoping you are ok
Looking good Steve, great to see you up n sharing your knowledge of muscle cars !!
Very well optioned and tastefully upgraded
My late uncle had a gold one that my late mom borrowed. She loved to race it.
