I think PSE is measured for the speed and draw length at 80%. At 90% my PSE bows have ran up toward 1/2" long, and about 1/4" long at 85%. When draw length is set accordingly and accurately for each let off position, the 80% setting is faster by ~3-5 fps on average.

Would be cool if you measured the draw length each time you switched the let-off.

Good video. I really like having a large valley, so I can focus on aiming at full draw and not have to worry about the cams rolling over if I relax at all. Lack of valley is why I’m getting out of a Mathews.
Valley while subjective is one of the things that I don’t see covered in a lot of reviews that I wish was covered more.

Haven’t been shooting archery that long . I need to start tinkering with my let off and see what works best for me. Good information. Thank you!

I think the key here is explaining the advantages of letoff through stability and shot process over speed. Being able to adj let off in todays bows is nice to fine tune roll over and draw length. I personally prefer 80-85% let off for hunting, although I have used 90% on some bows in relation to how they drew. When having a set shooting process for target or 3D, 75 to 80% is generally where mine fall. Again, the advantage of keeping muscles engaged for stability/pin float throughout a set shooting process.

Running a Prime Form, 29"/65lbs/85% let off. Loving the bow so far. Groups are tight at 20, like...touching tight.

I have a bow that is hard to change, due to cost of modules, and now availability, so I will consider that for my next bow.
I enjoyed your points, but I wonder how changing the letoff (only, when possible) effects accuracy at 10 to 40 yds..if at all. Is this ONLY an issue for comfort?

You can see how it does shorten the draw length a bit. On 90% you can see the string right at the corner of the mouth and 80% it’s short of the mouth.
