Hey, the first section after the turbo is the dump pipe, followed by the front pipe, and then cat back {if you have one} Hahahaha

Do you need back pressure from the muffler to make the turbo work mate or a small muffler will still work ? 👍

I’m not an expert mate but my understanding is with a turbo engine you want as little back pressure as possible. The muffler we used is a straight through so there are no baffles in there, it’s more to keep it road legal and to take some of the drone out of it for long trips

Thanks for replying mate I appreciate that I have a 2.8 Holden turbo diesel and it seems to struggle to breath that’s why this was really interesting I might make some mods now see how it goes 👍

Yeah give it a bit bigger exhaust mate, the 2.8 td in the rodeo is an Isuzu engine, it’s an early 4j. They’re a great engine, plenty of potential

Hey mate, how much was it for the exhaust cut-out? Also was there much difference between straight through vs hotdog? Just wondering as I'm contemplating putting a 3 inch on my HDJ and I'm unsure as to whether a straight pipe is a good option. Thanks heaps

Hey mate, the cut out was around $200 from memory. Straight pipe has a lot of bark to it, through the muffler is still loud but a lot smoother noise, also less turbo noise. Having the option of turning off the straight pipe is awesome but if it was one or the other I’d definitely go a small muffler

The new material was 409 grade stainless steel, the parts we repurposed from the 80 series system were aluminised mild steel
