3000hrs at minimum $30 an hour is a 😳😳😳 mind boggling. Such a fantastic effort. Best build on UA-cam, forget Binky and all of the other "builds", you sir take the cake and I'm so lucky to have seen it in person!
I know exactly what goes through your mind when you open the door to the Toyota, sit down and turn the ignition, a big smile involuntarily happens and you keep smiling all the way to your destination. I’ve owned and restored 31 vintage Military Vehicles (all but one was American) and some were extremely rare but in time, they came together along with the help of great friends, I couldn’t have done it without them. You did very well young man.
I have a soft spot in my heart for anything that is/was an Land Crusier, I had a FJ40 in Alaska and I loved it. Some guy put a small block Chevy 350 in it, it was 0-50 in 5 seconds, but 50-65 took another minute or so. This video just warms my heart.
Absolutely amazing! I live in Brasil and here we call it "Toyota Bandeirante". My grandfather had one. When he died it stayed about 9 years whith any maintenance. This year, me and my father restored it. We kept the original standard because of the budget (my father didn't want to spend a lot), but when this Toyota ends up being mine I want to bring improvements and new technologies to it.
Wishing is for fairy tales. Quite honestly, you can acquire any skill you wish to be proficient at. Effort is the first requirement. Restore an old bicycle or something simple to start. Just start, my friend.
I just want to say sweet build your fabrication skills are on point. I’m definitely gonna steal a few few ideas and learned a few trips. Thank you very much sweet video bro. America 🇺🇸
Excellent build Richard, well done to you and all your mates, what a wonderful achievement. It must be such a thrill to design and build your own car and then, take it on amazing adventures, and many more to come my friend. Seeya Rob
Found from the Rig Rundown with BNB, such an amazing build - looks off it's chain. You sir have earnt a sub, can't wait to see what else you do to this rig
Congratulations on manufacturing a piece of art, the truck is probably built better than when it came out of the Toyota factory, best regards from a Kiwi living in Melbourne, I g ave also subscribed to the channel, cheers Les
Fantastic! What an awesome machine you've created. Love the fact you've stuck with a straight 6 but put some ozzy barra power behind it. Such a cool build
Great video, and a beautiful build! I think I would have moved the steering wheel to the other side, but if you like it that way. Thanks for sharing. Play through.
I'm in the middle of doing mine up .but not even close to what you have done .your rust spots are my good metal .but I've learnt heaps from your videos .I'm nearly ready to drive mine thou maybe spent 100 hours on it and it's hard work !! .your a very clever and patient man .I take my hat of to you ..unbelievable job . Want to sell it ? Lol
I have been driving toyota land cruise pickup in seventies in east African wilderness where there was no paved roads and is the most reliable pickup. We had two spare tires at the top of the cabin on frame which was attached to main chansis and saved our lives when the pickup overturned in ravines multiple times even the front glass never shattered when the car overtunred multiple type
Having owned an FJ45 in my younger days I can totally understand your love for the truck and why you’d invest the time money and effort to do a build like this. Thank you.
What all FJ-45's ought to look like. Very nice. I'm 6'1" and owned one of these monsters back in 1980. Great vehicle, but shit for comfort as I couldn't lean my seat back far enough. Cab needed to be another 6" long. For someone less than 6 feet tall, no probs. This truck was rated at "1 ton", but i had over two tons on it one time moving a pallet of lumber. Crossed a mountain river in spring flood, and very nearly got washed down stream. Heavy right foot and four-wheel-high got me through OK, just barely. Water was over the fenders. Yikes.
Amazing job my favorite truck you build with my choice of modifications love it keep up the good work I would love to buy my own soon I have a jeep Comanche I’m trying to fab up
Fantastic design engineering and fabrication, my only critic is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side. I will preorder a bakers dozen. Well done, enjoy this you worked hard for it.

Very kind words ☺️ thank you!! Was great to meet you and hear about your build :)
90k in 2 years. In a typical year there are about 2,000 working hours, so this build took as much as a 3/4 time job. :)
Let's add - very good work. :)
You are right
