    Great Video..Big improvements on the Cruiser, It looks awesome..
    On our recent Cape York adventure we had major failure of the Super Pro top and bottom shock mount bushes both sides on my mates 76 Cruiser. After 400km they pancaked, broke apart and fell out leaving us stuck on side of track at night 6 hrs from the nearest town.
    Using a cordless grinder, drill and a nylon cutting board we managed to shape a few nylon bushes which was enough to get us to higher ground where we could roll out our swags for the night.
    The next day we made it to town but the mechanic was to hung over to fix the Cruiser so we had to wait 4 hrs for him to get out of bed. After the mechanic came good, he put standard rubber bushes back in we were on the road again, completing the trip without anymore 76 issues.
    If you own a vehicle with this type of shock bush mount it would be a smart idea to carry a spare set of rubber bushes just incase the poly don't last..

      hi, hm that is interesting, my shock bushes are Bielstein did you by any chance keep the SuperPro bushes?? I would contact SuperPro as I'm quite sure they like to hear your experience not to mention you have a lifetime warranty.
      My front and rear radius arm bushes on Tiny are super Pro and they cope an absolute flogging with the flex I have and never failed

    • @discoveryoff-road609
      @discoveryoff-road609 6 років тому +1

      I think he through what was left in the bin but theres not much point contacting Super Pro as they will probably send him another set and my mate will not use poly for his shocks again.
      Mates 76 also has Super pro radius arm bushes, no problems with them so far..
      I wonder if anyone has had same problem??

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  6 років тому

      I think SuperPro would have been very keen to get to the bottom of this and while they also would have sent him new bushes would have been interesting to see why they failed....

    Nice video. I am looking to do a full super pro bush kit replacement front and rear on my 80 series Landcruiser and was wondering how the super pros are still going. A lot of forums reckon best to stay with OE rubber bushes but would like to keep an open mind. Notice you changed to Icon recently.

    seeing you have done the engine conversion does it pull the 35's good now? have you done any mods to the engine or is it just stock? Do you know the fuel economy you are getting now? Can you get up to highway speed easy now with the 35's and engine conversion?

    Do you have any more info somewhere on the front control arms? Are they skinnier than stock to help with axle bracket control arm contact? Does the tie rod touch the control arms at full drop while turned. These are the issues I'm having with my 80 series stock arms. I'm in the USA

    Wow, the alignment machine is very old technology.

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  6 років тому +3

      Lol it is, hower in the right hand probably better than new fully electronic machines. It takes a little more time, but any misalignment of the machine is noticed right away (electronic machines can take quite a few wrong alignments before it's noticed) at the end it's just a measuring tool, and Fernando is doing wheel alignments for 20+ years and is certainly a master in his field.
      The previous workshop I had the car in 3 times, and it was still misaligned turned out the full electronic machine was out of whack supposedly happens frequently.
