It looks wonderful. Just a suggestion, perhaps change the outlet covers to a brilliant white.
That's exactly what I think too!
Kelly Bolman I was thinking the same thing
I thought that too. But you have to change the entire outlet. Another project.
Unless you want to change the outlet type, you can change just the switch plate.
I was just saying the outlet is off white also and would show through the plate if just the plate was switched out.
Caulk where it meets the wall, the cabinets, et cetera. It will cover the uneven cuts and look really seamless.
Thanks!
Thrifted Living on the very underneath where tiles meet cabinets, put a painted peice of quarter round. It will hide your gaps. And caulk as suggested.
Also if you are renting ask about the outlets. Or just don't worry about it.
I love them. I do wish you had said what a box cost and how much is in the box. GREAT JOB!!
They were given to her she said
I would suggest you painting the outlet covers black and fill in the uneven places with a grey or white grout. Looks nice.
I think I saw them in Walmart, not cheap though.
You had me worried when you didn't cut the first piece but you did great fittings!!!! Real Smart kid!
You make it look so easy to get an updated look. I know you’re enjoying the refresh!
This is EXACTLY what im looking for, for my kitchen. I just repainted my kitchen white & gray but havent done a backsplash yet
Thank you for sharing!!!! I just purchased my first home. And I can’t wait to do this diy project 🤞🏾
If you get the stainless/ nickel covers for the outlets it will look STUNNUNG! I love it!
I love the change; it's so bright. I also agree; I'd maybe spray paint the outlet covers to bright white, stainless steel or maybe even black to match your counter top. Love it! You did a great job!
I am in the process of buying an older mobile home that is in good shape, but could use a bit of a face lift, this video has given me few ideas on what I can do that is pretty simple to do. I love the sage green paint on the walls and everything else you have done in your kitchen. Great job.
What an incredible job and you picked exceptionally beautiful tiles.very nice to watch you work and see how to use this product because I will be doing the same when I move in the fall.
The kitchen windows need blinds. Ditch the curtains ,the look is outdated for the kitchen that you have.
Hello 👋
Was so excited for this idea, but was shocked at the cost, even with a discount code. You did a great job and it looks wonderful.
I'm so impressed with those stick tiles. They seem like a great option for an affordable makeover.
I love it! You could now use contact paper for your counters! I used a marble one and it’s super cute
Was it hard to use contact paper?
Great idea. Am the wfe of a retired veteran. Wish this was available when he was in the service. Military housing office was real picky about changes like this. This was so easy and easily removable. Kudos.
so beautiful! I did this in a rental I lived in, along with the contact paper counters and it looked like an expensive job! Bravo!
I live in a mobile home and I think this would be a great idea for my kitchen as well. I’ve been slowing tackling projects at home. I’m inspired to do more!
Did you end up doing this in your mobile home? I thinking about using these in my mobile home bathroom. Love some advice on decorating flexable mobile home walls. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video! As a renter, it's hard to showcase your personality in a space that you don't own. I will most definitely do this.
Roommates sticktiles wow they look awesome! You did great!!! It really made your kitchen look bright and like a farmhouse. Beautiful!
Awesome product! I would run white caulk under the cabinets to hide the black wall that shows there. Nice job!
I love how it turned out! I agree with you that it would be easier to cut off the ends so it starts out with a straight edge. I think a bit of caulk would tidy up the corner edge especially since it is in an area that's not as visible.
I absolutely love the tile you picked! That darker grout is perfect! I think to finish the look, I would swap out the switch plates/outlet covers. You could even paint the existing ones Black. I always notice outlet covers and switch plates.
Great video!
ps: one suggesstion...get white stained silicone grout to finish off the corner (in the deep corner) and between the top of the tile and the bottom of the kitchen cabinet.
It looks beautiful! I wish they had more options. I'd love to find it in a sandstone subway tile look.
Nice. Didn't think people actually used this
Turned out beautiful, I LOVE the countertops with the white backsplash
Very simple and definitely changes the look of your kitchen! Looks great! TFS!
All that cutting and measuring would make my head spin. You did a wonderful job! You've inspired me. 👍😊
I have a very small space and this is very doable. This was very helpful, thank you!
I admire your patience! I'd love to do this to update my rental but I think the old cabinets would hold me back from reality pulling it all together.
I think that you did a wonderful job! Such a difference! Congratulations on trying a new technique. A great idea for renters. I always enjoy you vlogs. Your enthusiasm is catching.
It looks sooooo good! One thing I might add that I personally think makes a kitchen look great is adding neutral canisters, or brown glass containers for both the dish soap and hand soap. It can bring a whole new level of sophistication and charm. Thanks for sharing!
Yuck. Maybe charming for you, it sounds awful.
1942 SmithCorona What is your problem?
This is really Cool. I had no idea they had this stuff. I’m a renter and I bet I could use this. Thanks so much.
Really made a difference in that kitchen. I’m going to be working on my kitchen, my house is from the 60’s. Grew up with avocado green so the sage green maybe out for us. Think I will be painting white, teal or leave is sand. But these tiles are wonderful.
you made that look easy. and it looks very good for peel and stick. i am researching to do the same. lots just look like paper on the wall but these are great they look like real tile
The white brightens up the space beautifully, great job❣️
The backsplash looks great. My only suggestion would be to either paint the light switch plates or just buy some new ones.
Thanks!
New ones! I've tried spray painting them in the past, horrible mistake, even short nails will scratch off the paint and they look awful within a day or so.
It looks very nice. I wanted to see a regular person apply self-adhesive tiles like these. I want to use these same kind of tiles in a light aqua color. I dont feel so much afraid to do it after watching your video. Thank you for sharing!
It looks so nice. Funny how something as simple as a coat of paint or some tilw can make a works of difference in a room. Now, I'd suggest that you consider painting/ changing your outlet covers coz the off white stands out against the white tile
It look really nice. I like the black, white and wood together.
You did a fabulous job, yes I'm going to jazz up my kitchen real soon with these tiles. I'm glad you shared your project.
I have always loved subway tiles. . . and that was validated having been on the Metro in Paris and the Tube in London (although there were some variations but it's all good!) Talk about
a transformation to your kitchen. Why would anyone carry the same black colour from the counter tops and back splash all the way up to the cabinets. Talk about being boxes in.
I can't blame you for going with the subway tiles. Great choice. Enjoyed your video and commentary. Your kitchen pops now and looks stunning. Thanks for inspiring me. Cheers!

Hello Charnell hope you had a Beautiful Mother's Day! I too know how tough it was to get through as I lost my Mother Oct 19, 2015. Watching your channel I found we have so many parallels in our lives and I enjoy watching you and your family. I have a suggestion for your makeup table to keep it from staining and forgive me if it is unwarranted. Get a piece of plexiglass cut to fit the top for easy cleanup and a glass top look.
I bet you are so proud of yourself! I AM SO INSPIRED!! THANK YOU!
Great timing for me yo see this video, because I am looking for something just like this!
Hello 👋
Hello you did really a good job I mean you see where you messed up or whatever but you can fix that you're getting better and better at this that's pretty cool keep it up and I'd like to check out some of that stick on
I'm going to say I think you REALLY LOVE IT...REALLY.
I can't believe how realistic it looks! I've been wanting to do this for awhile but was worried it would look fake, your video convinced me to redo my backsplash!
did you do it? did it looked fake?
This looks so good! Thanks for sharing your experience with us and especially where ‘you think’ you made mistakes. That helps us, the viewers, know what to do or not to do. Good job!😊👍🏻
Thank you!
Omg girl !! It looks absolutely beautiful !! Makes the kitchen look so fresh & clean !!! Great job !!
Wow! What a huge change. It looks great.
I have been wanting to do a backsplash in our kitchen.I may have to try this. Tyfs..
Love and blessings....
I just bought these and your video helps immensely. Thanks!! Looks great
Love these peel and stick tiles. I used some in my bathroom!! Makes such a difference!!
Looks great! they make white cover for outlets you might want to look into them instead of the ivory. It did brighten the area. You did a great job!
Wow, it looks so amazing and yes brighter. You made it look so easy too. Thank you for sharing.
Very sweet. You made it look simple. Maybe paint outlet plates
Looks nice for a quick and easy makeover
Nice. Always fun to learn. Nice sharing.
I love the look and the product looks like it's a great quality and thickness. I like the ability to peel up the stickers if you need to readjust the edges. Also liked the idea of painting the cabinet knobs black. Really tied in the look. Only thing I question is the ability to peel them off later if you're a renter. Idk how easy that would be or what it would look like underneath after being stuck on for a year or two. I'd just leave the stickers on when moving out. It's an upgrade to the place but remember you should get landlords approval to do such changes.
You could replace your outlet plates with brushed nickel plates to match your stainless steel appliances and mixer. Goes well with the gray 'grout' as well! Either that or you could spray paint them with a Rustoleum Paint
The subway tiles look very nice.
Yes to that area! Black, white and wood! Looove it.
You did an AWESOME job!!!! I will definitely be doing this to update our kitchen😊 Tyfs!
OMG, I need to do this!! It looks fab 😊 love your pigs 🐷 on work top xx
Hello 👋
Thank you so much for doing this video! I've been researching peel n stick tile for a few months. You've helped me tremendously!
Heather Stewart ua-cam.com/video/lzZLECmu9o4/v-deo.html
Looks really nice but yes on the white outlet covers
I love what you did with your kitchen and it does make it more lighter and warmer. I subscribed and love to do this and i need help to make my home look nice, too.
I didn't read through all the comments so ignore if this has already been suggested. Where the black shows through on the inside corner and the first corner you started with take a liner brush and paint in white, it will make it less noticeable.
You can easily fill the gaps back in the corner and along the tops at spots) by using white silicone sealant or latex sealant being very careful to smooth the surface perfectly. Yes, it really does brighten the kitchen for you. Good job!
You did an awesome job , and it looks absolutely beautiful ! The bright tiles made such a difference
I am so inspired you made it look so easy ,thanks for all your help just on your Channel today, love your background music.🍍
I just subscribed and glad I did. You sold me on the stick tiles for my kitchen. Your kitchen looks great, good job. Thank you.
It looks fantastic. You did an awesome job. You should be proud of yourself, which I'm sure you are by that big smile on your face. I didn't know they had peel and stick subway tiles, so thanks for this info.
You did an outstanding job! I agrees with the white outlet covers. I do love it a lot.
Good job! Looks clean and fresh. Thanks for sharing.
I want to do this when I get my new condo! What a great product and exactly what I need to conserve time and money~ Gorgeous job Kieran!! xo xo
Wow I am impressed you did such a great job and made it look so easy!!!! OmG I want to try to do my kitchen but I'm afraid it won't come out as nice....
Looks awesome!! I agree about getting white outlet covers. You did an amazing job!
The black and white looks good together. Also once you get impatient you should stop and come back later.🤗
Oh I love your kitchen .As I was watching my hubby walked up behind me. Hmmmm looks simple, said. I need to go to the wed site and check on what they have. You made everything look so easy. In case you haven't gotten my e-mail to you the box is now in the hands of the lovely USPS. Much love dear one.
I love the product and I love the ease of installation. I don't know if you steped back and looked but I thought it looked better without the top piece it made the cabinets pop a little better. Anyway good job =)
It turned out really good. I agree that it does make it look brighter in your kitchen. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
Very pretty job they look really real and nice and bright 👏
OMG Girl AWESOME JOB!!!! Makes your kitchen look so freash!
was impressed that the texture is rubbery. I would be excited now to use them. In my mind I thought they were a thin type of plastic.
two years ago I did my back splash with Peel and stick tiles, did all the prep, it looked good for about three months, and then corners of all the tiles started curling leaving big gaps in between the tiles, so I had to ripp all of them off the wall and use spray adhesive to stick the back on, looks better but still not perfect, would I do it again? NO! Real tile is the way to go!
amnesia1408 Thanks for your comment! Do you remember if it was the same brand?
Thanks for the info
I agree home owners need to bite the bullet and save up to tile. This would be excellent for apartment dwellers. It's not a permanent thing and can be easily taken off.
The tiles are very pricey too! Very expensive to do a large area.
@@maxandshoji my tiles are also raising up in two days. Not roommate brand tho... does brand matter? What brand might be best to use? I was thinking to use glue to stick it to the wall... but I am a renter and I am concerned about not able to remove it once we want to move. What ideas you guys have to share.. I love how they look but the edges are coming off
How long did it take you do put all the back splash up? How many tiles did it take and what does it take to clean it? It looks great!
Love how the backsplash brightens your kitchen! Nice job!
Wow!! that looks so pretty and the white tiles reflect the light. Great idea! never knew that there was tile like that...tfs
I really like the Peel and stick tile it looks great I think I will try it
Very nice job. These tiles are beautiful and really update nicely.
This looks fantastic! You did a terrific job with measuring and placement.
Buy black face plates for the outlets.
Never buy new outlet or switch plates! Just spray paint them!!!!
I would suggest white outlets and painting the window trim white as well but I do see you like it so I would say brighten it up with a simply sheer white curtain amd changing the sink to stainless steel. Not a fan of the green color, I personally would of preferred a soft light grey but the green is not too bad. You did a wonderful job.
You did such a beautiful job.
I would change the outlets to white instead of almond or even black ones would look cool
Hello 👋
Might try this in my pop up camper . Cute idea .
Best invention ever !!! Looks awesome you did a great job. 💕
You did a beautiful job young lady Looks really awesome.
The subwaytiles look amazing!
Stunning! Hope you guys got the leaking tap/faucet sorted.
It is a game changer for your kitchen.
