Hi Allí. I’m a retired interior designer. The octagonal frames need to go higher in the wall. But, aside from that you did really great. It looks beautiful.
What a difference! I'd raise the ebay plaques up off the tile, but everything else is just beautiful! Like looking at a picture from Better Homes & Gardens! Smart style! Nice personal touches.
I had the same instant reaction to the plaques placement. At the very least place the lower plaque so it's bottom edge is touching the top tile edge and place second with the current spacing. The placement of the lower tile was distracting from the beautiful features you added...it was all I could focus on. Love your design choices usually but not this particular placement (if you found a 3rd matching plaque above the top one it would make sense to my brain) ❤
As someone that is super struggling with renter friendly diys myself your videos are inspiring. I think the kitchen is super cute. The only adjustment i would personally make is bringing the oval circular frames above the peel and stick. To me the second one looks off draped over the peel and stick. I think theyd look better above the peel and stick border
Your rental kitchen is totally adorable!! You have a great design aesthetic! It’s warm, cozy and very inviting without spending a fortune. Love your diy’s! Well done!😮
I just bought a home, and although it’s mine, I won’t be able to afford a kitchen reno anytime soon, and it’s the original 1990 kitchen. These tips will help me make it through until I can do the full renovation! ❤
I love the makeover. At first I was skeptical about the green tile, but after seeing it on the wall I see it looks beautiful. You are so talented. Great job my friend. Can't wait to see which room is next to be redone.
I think it's absolutely gorgeous! One of the best things you did, that you didn't talk about, was taking that big black air fryer off the top of the refrigerator! That really distracted my eye when I saw it. Great job, young lady!
Absolutely stunning! Amazing transformation! I do have to say I almost had a heart attack when you drilled on top of your granite counter top! I seriously thought you had cracked it instead of just the light diffuser!
It looks awesome. I wasn’t sure about the tile until it was all up. I think you should put the tile above the refrigerator below cabinets just where you can see.
I always love the spaces you design....not so much this one as its giving me a grandma vibe. BUT ....asong as you both love it, that is really all that matters
This is adorable, I love it! One of the things I did when making over my small rental kitchen was to add a large dishwasher magnet that I found on Amazon… just one more place to add art to cover and otherwise bland appliance
Very well done!! 👏👏 I love the green tile, too! I like that you placed the tiles in a non-traditional arrangement, as well. Does NOT look like the same old boring apartment kitchen! 😍😍
It’s beautiful! I love it. The black hardware made the kitchen look more upscale. You have such a talent for making a rental space so much more attractive but doing so in a way you can “undo” it when you move. ❤❤❤
I’ve been waiting for this video! What a beautiful transformation….so many ideas now for my rental kitchen. I can’t wait to add the peel and stick tiles! I’m so glad I watched you install the contact paper first. Never would have thought to do that! My kitchen is so outdated and has damage. This video makes me excited to transform mine! Thank you!
I'm thinking it was a combination of the gold touches (esp gold frame magnets on fridge) and black cabinet hardware that really did it but I'm not entirely sure
Your diy's are just proof that with a little imagination, a small budget, and a few decor pieces, you can take an outdated and drab room, to new and fab👏👏!! Great job, love it!!
I really like how you styled the kitchen. It looks so warm and cozy. I did something similar on the wall above my stove. It needed something. I fit some foam board to the space then affixed the peel and stick tiles to the foam board and stuck it on the wall using command strips. It’s amazing how something so little can make a huge impact on your space.
Alli, this is beautiful! I love how your style has evolved and is still playful but sophisticated now… what a huge change from the blah kitchen you had!! So inspiring thank you for sharing.
I absolutely LOVE it! Love the green, the runner, the styling elements, and the new hardware! Your kitchen is now lighter, brighter, and I love the mid- century vibe! It's given me some great ideas to upgrade my own kitchen! Beautiful job! Thanks!
Hi Ally! You have done an amazing job! Did you just hang the pictures on the wall like that to get engagement?!?!😆 Ok, I'll bite, please move those oval pictures above the time and center them in the white space. You have great taste, thank you for all the ideas
Girl you are a hoot! I loved watching your video! It brought a sense of humor and kinder seeing you struggle with some of the challenges you had lol. It was cute. That said… great job at keeping us entertained and great job with your kitchen makeover. The greenery of the room gives it a sense of life and the the custom added features are truly what tie in the whole room. I think your esthetic is true to who you are and it was awe moment watching your expression lit up once it was complete. Snaps for you!
Congratulations on your remodel kitchen. I love what you came up with this idea. The decor really sends a beautiful message on how to update and old space and give it life.love your colors. Jane❤
Looks awesome…you should buy those black tin covers for your stove top.. have electric burners too and these hide the burners… just a thought.. good job 👍
Love love the rug and the art!! Also the idea of contact paper as a base layer! That’s even awesome when you aren’t renting but want a less committal change😜
The green backsplah does so much! The kitchen feels a bit cozy cottagecore to me 😍. I was suprised about the picture above the think, but it totally elevates the area. What about the dish soap thing? 👍
Love this! Just a few tips for applyin contact paper or wallpaper, it's easier to use a cloth to smooth the bubble & to drill a hole on any surface, preferably tape the surface first then drill on it, it easier that way and less mess ✨
Not only did you give great tips you totally solved my problem of what colour of peel and stick to use in my kitchen. I have the same black countertop, but my cupboards are striated chocolate brown. The ceramic green tile that you used is the perfect punch of life with some added plants that I need! I am putting the peel and stick over existing tile. Do you still recommend using contact paper?
Thanks so much for video! I am moving into a rather old but large villa and these tips are really useful. I was wondering of uou would consider contact paper (marble or plain white) for the counter tops? I think that would make the kitchen look ever more bright, and will look really nice juxtaposed with the black design elements Thanks once again! You have a lovely kitchen!
For extra light I have used a mirror that has a window frame so it looks like you have a window that you can look out when u do the dishes. You can even put cur-tens on the frame
I’m not renting but my walls are painted and I never wanted to put peel and stick tile up because it would ruin the walls but I’m going to try the contact paper I’ve never heard of using that before ❤
Terrific remodel. Your landlord should keep your changes for when you buy your own home and he or she can raise the rent.. LOL! BTW, there isn't a person in the world who likes those boob lights except builders. It's quite easy to replace the light fixture and put away the boob light until you move. If I can do it, anyone can.
Wow, totally unexpected! I didn't realize how much difference everything made until you added the final touches. Fantastic job! 🙌 By the way, that's a great price for that beautiful cutting board. Not expensive at all in comparison to some others I've seen. Unfortunately there's no link to purchase it. Did you forget? Again, wonderful job 👍
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials!!! There great!! Would contact paper also work for kitchen floors? they have 12x12 vinyl tiles ugly and I would love to put a new one e over them I like and is there a way to add hardware on the cabinets and drawers when they don’t have ?
I think it would also work for the floors! Depending on the tiles, I have seen others remove them successfully without the contact paper too. They just used some GooGone to get rid of any sticky residue. As far as knobs, I do know they make adhesive drawer pulls on Amazon, I'm not sure how they remove. Maybe they would with a hairdryer?
Hi Allí. I’m a retired interior designer. The octagonal frames need to go higher in the wall. But, aside from that you did really great. It looks beautiful.
Yes I agree.
Totally agree
I agree with you!
I wanted to move those up so badly! Lol
Agree.

Like the ceiling and under the cabinet light

Room is beautiful! I do agree with raising the octagonal pics😊

This is maybe the best rental friendly kitchen upgrade! And realistic- thank you!
It's fabulous now. Wow what a change
Amazing difference! Where did you find the magnets that you put on your refrigerator? They are so cute!
The black hardware and green tile look so beautiful! Love the make over!

I love it so much! I feel like you perfectly balanced a present day look, along with some vintage touches! The green is so cozy.
I just love it. After seeing those green tiles I'm going to order some for my bathroom and kitchen thanks the idea.
They would look great in a bathroom too! Good luck with your project!! 💜
@@ActuallyAlli thanks
I always love the spaces you design....not so much this one as its giving me a grandma vibe. BUT ....asong as you both love it, that is really all that matters
Turned out warm and beautiful!

Turned out SO adorable. Really well done.
Omg Alli, I love it so much. Great Job as always👍
I am so glad I find your video so natural. ❤
I LOVE how you somehow made the black large appliances work by tweaking the color scheme. The black actually looks good. It's genius.
I'm thinking it was a combination of the gold touches (esp gold frame magnets on fridge) and black cabinet hardware that really did it but I'm not entirely sure
SOOO MUCH WARMTH AND COZINESS! Love it so much!
Omg! I neeeed those under-cabinet lights!😮

Alli, this is beautiful! I love how your style has evolved and is still playful but sophisticated now… what a huge change from the blah kitchen you had!! So inspiring thank you for sharing.
I love it!! My condo has a small dark kitchen and I got some wonderful ideas from your videos
I absolutely LOVE it! Love the green, the runner, the styling elements, and the new hardware! Your kitchen is now lighter, brighter, and I love the mid- century vibe! It's given me some great ideas to upgrade my own kitchen! Beautiful job! Thanks!
That's a REALLY pretty kitchen - such great ideas!!!
Really nice the way you've used color to pull all the new elements together.
Your eye for design is amazing. I'm so happy you went with the green tile. It makes your kitchen interesting.

It’s so beautiful Alli! So cozy. I love it! ❤️ Some plants/decor on top of the upper cabinets would draw the eyes up as well.

Absolutely love it! The green is magnificent!💚
Excellent! Looks great!
Thanks so much!
Looks great, but why didn't you pull the stove out about a foot, and you could have used full sheets and not cut anything. @ActuallyAlli
Looks awesome…you should buy those black tin covers for your stove top.. have electric burners too and these hide the burners… just a thought.. good job 👍
The kitchen was not as bad as you said. Having said that, you did a beautiful makeover. Good job.

I am all about the same colors and vibe. Love it!! New subscriber!

how do u get contact paper off the wall without damaging it? i love your little lamp, give a nice golden glow.
Use a hair dryer to warm up the paper it will soften the adhesive and hopefully get it off without any damage.
@@reneefooks9206yes, the key word is “hopefully.”
Very pretty. You've made this apartment into a home.
It looks wonderful! Great job! Thank you for your content!
Very nice!! You really warmed it up! 🥰❤️

Thanks, Debbie! 💜
