In this video i get real candid about some of the things i miss about active addiction. It seems a little dishonest to me to pretend like all of it was bad.
This hits home. Haven’t been to a meeting in a while, destroyed my whole life over one pill, one high. I’m trying to piece it all back together without loosing more, loosing all I’ve gained this year in recovery. I thought this would make me miss it, but I think you HAVE to appreciate WHY we kept using. Why I left home to do it, why I gave up everything for years to keep doing it, why I did all I could to protect it and keep using.
