Pej first got into using crystal meth as a means of both weight loss and as a stimulant. After using Meth one time, you often find yourself chasing that first high.
While using Meth the first time can have powerful euphoric effects it quickly becomes a downward spiral and physically and mentally tear you apart.
Detoxing off Meth and quitting completely can be very difficult and taxing on the body. Meth is more so mentally addicting than physically addicting.
Our hope is that you found this video relatable and helpful. If you or a loved one are struggling with crystal meth addiction, please reach out for help.

A few years back I read "Beautiful Boy a fathers journey through his son's addiction". I remember the author saying that long term meth addiction will permanently rewire the brain. Did you find that to be true or did you come out of it like you never touched the drug?
I’m 2 years clean off meth and I’m so proud of how far I’ve came… I started smoking meth at 15 I fell into a terrible lifestyle and was manipulated and abused. but I’m 20 now and I feel like this is a new beginning for me and I can finally breath fresh air god is good🙏🏾❤️

Part of the euphoria of meth is that it acts like an off switch for your conscious and turns off empathy. It feels like you're alone in the world and everyone else is just there for your utility

great video. Brutally honest. been there done that. lost a bunch of my closest best friends to meth. (two are dead. one from suicide and the other from od on heroin). when on meth you hang with people who do meth and you don't trust each other. you will steal from each other and other people. I got off it by going for a walk into a nature reserve, smashing my pipes on the concrete, and then took a hammer to them. I buried the pieces of the pipes and promised myself "NEVER AGAIN!!". been sober for 6 years. I quit smoking ciggies and weed the same day. all cold turkey!
@adrianbass congratulations! May you share what your detox stage was like? We just picked up my brother in Mexico. He was living on the streets for 2 years and finally asked for help. It’s been 2 days and he has not touched a thing. He is going though the detox phase. Has the sweats and is shaky. He doesn’t want to eat and wants to be left alone. My mom in her fear of seeing him this way offered him weed. He refused. He says he doesn’t want to touch a thing. We are suffering with him and are in the process of finding him a rehab center. Did you detox on your own?
AN ADDICT who want's TO STAY SOBER, has to AVOID PEOPLE WHO USE, PLACES WHERE THERE IS ACCESS TO IT, and AVOID TRIGGERS. i’m 16 years old, and i lost my dad of an overdose in May of last year. my father was an amazing one and such a great guy to everyone. it wasn’t until i was about 12 years old when he started using. i never hated him, even though we couldn’t be as close as we used to i still would be up worrying about him many nights. i prayed and prayed that he would get better. my dad went through so much when battling with addiction, and he got clean not too long before we lost him. he relapsed and we had to say goodbye. i’m watching this video to try to understand where he was coming from and i feel so guilty in ways because i know he felt guilty for what he did, but i never wanted that at all. I wanted him to find himself again and i wanted to not worry about where he was sleeping at night. but i’m here a year later ready to understand him even more than i do now. if anyone else is struggling with a similar situation, i promise you’re not alone. much love and prayers to anyone out there who’s lost someone to addiction or anyone who is dealing with addiction themself. ❤

I commend you for doing it and sharing your experiences. I have met a lot of people that have stopped and I am grateful they have found the power in themself s. Actually nicotine is one of the hardest addictions to quit even more than herion. Nicotine effects the reward system in the brain. why do you think people keep smoking even when we all know the dangers of what will happen and some get cancer and still smoke.
Damn really I have heard chew or nicotine pouches are harder to quit than cigs. Cigs I was able to quit but idk about chew. Kinda weird though never hear of anyone having dissociation from nicotine withdrawal.

Wow congratulations. My daughter was on meth for approximately 10 or so years. She started at about age 12. When you mentioned the word demon, that was a good description of her acting demonic, I guess when she needed it. Anyway I enjoyed listening to your story and brought back so many dark memories of her. She is doing great now. She finally went into treatment at age 22 and is now 34. Best of luck to you❤❤

I'm leaving a man I love to his addiction , it's just impossible to help or hold out much hope . You are an inspiration as I see so few who can quit.
Is he trying to quit? How long had he tried. I got on Fentanyl for a year and a half straight during Covid. Spending over $600 every week. I pushed my GF to her LIMIT. I'm so lucky she stuck it out. I got off dope this past January. I'm doing great and we had such a great year. I just smoke weed and do mushrooms now. I even quit drinking which I never thought would happen.
I just had ENOUGH. Drugs had taken so much from me throughout my 33 years on earth. I finally got tired of it.
Also full disclosure I had like 5 relapses this year along the way. But they were isolated events. I bought a small bag of dope, got high and threw up my guts for 24hrs and just didn't get more when I ran out. Relapses happen. It's how you react to them. I just examined what causes the relapse and moved on with my life. Get back to working out and normal life and not let the relapse define you and make a big deal of it.
I just left my man 2 days ago. Its fresh relationship and we really are for each other but i cannot stay with him. I didnt know he is using meth, he is higly functioning addict. I am hoping that he will call any minute and say that he wants to quit with drugs and ask me to take him back, but no. I have to find my peace and realize that he doesent want to quit. I am so sad, i could cry for years. Ig only he wants to quit i would be by his side.

I was a speed freak for nearly 30 years. Been clean for 15 years. I did something weird a few months ago. I was giving my cat medication by squirting the medicine into his mouth with a syringe ( minus the needle ) and I would clean it out with water but on this occasion I sucked the water into the syringe and started flicking out the air , pretending I was about to shoot up. Put it to my arm and pretended to inject it, I closed my eyes and my heart started to pound and for that moment I was high. After 15 years it's still there. But I'm 60 now and I know if I ever went down that road again, I'd be dead. But that will never happen . I am too strong and my life is too good now. I appreciate life so much because I really shouldn't be here. Every year on my birthday I am so grateful to put another number to my life. Every year is a bonus

Don’t give in, try not to reminisce. Instead remember what you lost during that time. We only get lucky so many times before we aren’t. - as an ex user, hearing him talk about it doesn’t make me feel like it should. Instead I remembered how I liked the feeling and other things about it. So I’m literally going to that OnE day. The day I let it go and try to remember what I was feeling that day. I hated not being able to stop, I hated the other addicts and I hated all the time I lost. I hated that I was an addict.
glenncampbell3145 I used to know someone who did meth for 14yrs. and coke for 25yrs. She ended up homeless twice, and now she's 45, 3yrs. into her battle with Lung Cancer(30yrs of chain smoking ciggies & weed). Even though she's been clean for 3yrs now, There's a 95% chance that she won't live to see 2024. I tried to be her friend, but I could tell the drugs had a permanent effect on her critical thinking, reasoning, logic & cognitive abilities. A lot of her decision making didn't make much sense. And she still flew into fits of rage. There was always an angry undertone with her. She was always extremely paranoid too. Shs trusted no one!! I tried to be her friend, but after a few months, I couldn't take her neurosis & manipulation anymore, even though she has been in recovery for 3yrs. I had to cut her out of my life. She was toxic and borderline crazy even after What's really sad is how many times she's hit rock bottom but she still persisted on chasing that high regaedless how low in her life she fell. She only quit when She lost custody of her 5y/o son(struck him in the head with an iPad in a fit of rage), was charged with a restraining order, and the family courts got involved. Now that she has less than a yr to live, I hope that she finds some peace of mind in her last months alive. Truly sad.

How are you going now? From New Zealand 🇳🇿🩵
Amazing he had the courage to talk about his experience. Very noble for him to help others.
NOTHING BUT RESPECT...........May god bless every single one of you.....
God Bless You too
I just had to leave my marriage my husband started meth and he became crazy and a black soul I never seen a drug change him like that. I feel sorry for him.
Amber i know its hard for you to watch him destroy Himself as well what it doing to you .you say you feel sorry for him .i call bullshit that is a lame excuse to validate your leaving him its a marriage took vows as for better or worse through ""sickness""and health. You know the problem with people is that they are quitters weak because they run into a issue they were part of creating and they find themselves with a challenge and they run in the opposite direction.cowardly and mentally afraid lying to themselves that its ok as long as you dont see the shit you help create and say you feel sorry for him .shame on you and everyone else that gives up on anyone period.because the truth is it all will have is way of coming back around.you know how i know this to be so .walk out side and look around you see the fucking chaos in society the emptiness the emotionaless confused hate filled society thats what happenes to society when we turned our back on another human being wether it be a loved one or a stranger we find ourselves in a world like today and this society will not preceded to exist for the damage is done as we have rape mother earth for the neglect in nature is the same as neglect we gave to others.
Amber Angerson Your husband loves meth more then he loves you . Give him one chance to straighten up and if he don't then shit can him . He knows right from wrong good from evil
Black soul is on point,,,hope and prayers for him,,,,and you,,,smart woman

This is the first video that really explains it to me. He’s so open and id love to have a convo with him. This guy is amazing and I’m so glad he’s doing better! It sounds almost like a way deadlier adderall in a way minus the euphoria
I'm so glad to hear stories like yours, my sister just passed away due to meth and other drugs. She has always been a great person and we would have never expected someone like her to become this way. It takes a very strong person to beat this, keep up the work.
I have a meth addict brother and this information is very personal, very informative. Thank you for this.
Play it very smart with your brother...
He has a long life ahead of him.
Throw him $20.°° sometimes even if you know hes going to spend it on meth, cause love conquers all.
He'll look back and see that you loved him, and he'll quit, and cry😭
Me too. Very hard to see him go through his trips.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My 30 year old son used meth for about a year, his last use was mixed with fentanyl and passed away. It's been 6 months but seems like just a few weeks. Congratulations on your sobriety, continue helping people. God bless you my friend.
I appreciate your support.
Oh no! That is terrible. I'm sure this is very hard on you. So sorry. He was so young.
I’m so sorry. May your son rest in peace and I hope your heart is able to heal with peace and comfort more and more each day.
I am very sorry for your loss.
My whole heart feels for you right now 💖💖💖
your depiction of meth addiction is pretty accurate, only 100 times worse. at first its like hell yeah, where have you been all my life? 2 years later you are praying for death. great video. 10 years sober myself tho still in danger of relapse.
Have you relapsed?
Man you nailed it. I tried it when I was 20 and was stuck on it for a lil over a year. I went from a healthy stoner with a job to some garage rat. Once you start picking your face its over. I hid from my family and friends and was a complete mess. Whats even more crazy is I signed up for Junior college and joined the wrestling team as I was a stud in high school. Everyone knew and I only lasted a few weeks. Some months later I was tweakin in the garage and watched 911 happen. 2000-2001 was a blur. I finally looked in the mirror one day and said to myself who tf are you!! I knew I had to stop so I quit cold turkey. I slept and ate for months and got healthy again. Im glad I was young and mentally strong enough to quit. I thank god for carrying me during those times. Meth is for sure the devils dandruff. Im 40 now and just glad to still be alive. I forgot to add it was my ex GFs mom who hung out with bikers and they let me hit the pipe. They would eventually become my “friends” STAY TF AWAY FROM METH
8 month user 5 months sober 😁
2 months clean today. Stay strong brothers and sisters. Walk on with hope in your heart and you never walk alone. Pencil up the nose? Lol! I always called it a kick in the face
@@surviver5738 still awesome

Quoting painkillers was easy for me. Once I decided I was done the process was miserable but it was easy to stay on track. The hard part is when you get further into your recovery. The thought that you can do it just recreationally starts creeping into your mind.
Yes exactly. I wish like hell I would have never discovered pain meds. Worst thing that ever happened to me. I was hooked for about 12 years. They have totally rewritten my brain chemistry. I know that just one doesn't work at all. I'm screwed if I would actually really need them. The temptation and want never goes away even though I've been clean for almost 5 years. I know that I am relieved and better. Not only that but the chase gets old. I'm glad I didn't move on to heavier substances.
Went down a rabbit hole on addiction. So, here's my story. I started in high school with pills mostly Adderall and Xanax. Then I took the next step coke then crack but when I hit my early 20's and discovered meth. I ever felt such euphoria before the energy to do everything all at once. I do by snorting, smoking, and hot rails I fooled myself thinking if I didn't shoot up I'm fine. That was 6 years ago and I never looked back. My tweak was folding origami there were fogs and boxes everywhere in the drug house.
That's the problem with all the drugs. You never ever get the same feeling as the first time. Even wenn you take more, you never get that first *high*
Nicely said. I am not getting that first experience again till now.
Like I said weed will succeed while meth is death!
Your right! I still remember the first time getting high!
@@Keithyoung420 weed ruins people as well just quit a week ago and my productivity increased a LOT. Weed makes you just a boring empty shell of a human
I'm glad I dont get my first high experience off weed..lol
I felt like I got off a rollercoaster, dizzy.
Ended up liking weed 2 months later.
This @sshole living next to me wanted someone to smoke with and I was young & stupid at the time, so.....🥺
I quit meth back in 94. Never looked back. Been clean ever since....God bless
That is awesome! Keep fighting the good fight!
The crash is what can kill you not the drug itself because how long you been awake. I been clean and sober going on 17 years .
Great story!!
My boyfriend is on meth and every time I warn him about it he always tells me that his body does not depend on it, he says he can go days without smoking it.... but I told him it will and can affect him one day. I watched this and learned a lot about this drug thank you Sir!
Run when he starts abusing you. They are possessed by demonic forces you can’t fight them, trust me. He needs to fight these demons on his own
Never underestimate the power this drug will have over your life. Dont loose your right to make decisions. There is no happy ending to this story. Use the route less traveled and avoid the heartache and pain this drug will definitely deliver.
My daughter was on meth from age 12 until age about 20. She finally wanted to get clean like you. She is 30 now and is doing great. Thank you for the video, so familiar.
@Rosehill CCTV I discovered she was on it when I had to take her to the doctor due to sores all over. She kept running away. It was a terrible time. I don't want to go on and on but yes 12 years old, I know crazy.
..12?
12? How was she doing meth at 12? Where were the parents? That makes no sense.
Congratulations on your beautiful recovery! Such admiration for your strength! 🙏♥️
I thank God for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department. I was so high on meth that I went to the station and gave my Meth to a Sheriff and begged him to help me get Sober. They did I also didn't get charged with any controlled substance charges. But yes 110% they legit helped me with rehab , encouraged me every step of the way. If it wasn't for the 1 cool Sheriff I would be dead by now I'm certain of it. Sober 2 year's 7 month's and 13 days. And honestly Grateful for Snohomish County Sheriff Department.
"Why can't I stop! Why can't I stop!" That's where I'm at. But I'm proud of you brother. If you happen to find this, hit me back.
I'm at the same spot as you are...😔
@Chese 311 did you guys stop?
You can I promise u it's all about mind control folks u can't let the drug control u u have to control it and it can be done I have done it
It’s been a year now. Did you guys quit?
I never did crack but dont give up. Look into ANR in Tampa Fl. They do detox under anestia and then reset endorphines to prior use of drugs. Cost a lot of money but set up payment.
I can totally relate to, “I hate this feeling! Why can’t I stop?” I’ve SO been there.
Did meth for three years and it was so fun but my life slowly started to fall apart and my body was wearing down. Haven't done it in two years and I miss it so much but I'm glad I don't do it anymore.
This dude is a great story teller and this is quite educational. One of my bffs is an ex meth addict. She is terrified of relapsing. Went thru lots of recent tragedies and I just wanted perspective on how to relate or support her so she doesn't relapse. This gave me so much insight. Thanx for this honest presentation.
My lover and I were together 26 years. During primarily the last year he became "demonic" as you put it. He was a drug and alcoholism counselor so I didn't suspect drugs. I assumed it had something to do with his job which had problems because of budget cuts. We broke up because he had become emotionally abusive. About a year after leaving someone overdosed and died in our (now his) house. A few months later he was arrested for trafficking and a few more months and he committed suicide. I found out he had been using meth nearly 5 years before we broke up. I just thought I was getting old and couldn't keep up. Really. He went from being one of the most well respected drug, alcohol and HIV treatment facilitators in Cincinnati to laying dead on our back patio because he was tempted by that shit. I lost everything in the process having to start completely over at 59. His family was basically ruined.
I live in Cincinnati
Suicidal tendencies is part of the withdraw, at least it was for me, and it induces schizophrenia. Clean close to 2 years. Very sorry for your loss.
@mandydavis959 I read up on it after his suicide. I had done meth probably about a half dozen times during the 80s before we met. I noticed it was something you definitely didn't want to do more than once every 6 months or so and just decided to stay away from. According to what I read he probably had developed meth psychosis by then. At that point there wasn't much of an opportunity to get through to him. Powerful shit.
I'm very sorry
I'm sorry
Even though I've alwayyys been curious, I'll never try meth.
Don't it's not worth it.
That's what they all say at all state
Do it
Not worth it. If you really want to get a high close to meth then do coke or adderall
Jeff L try it..it's happiness..it's Paradise.. IT'S GOD POWDER!!!
I was a homeless iv meth user for six years from 98-07, then I got a job. I thought I was such a big time hard worker and then in 2016 I was losing my mind. You name the paranoia I had it! I had my first child the year later and was sober the whole time she was pregnant. Then I became a single father and have been sober five years. I don't know the man I used to be and I'm glad my daughter never had seen that man

You are an amazing strong man. Don't forget that. Blessings 💜

Good on you!!! I was an opiate addict and alcoholic for a decade and a half, now I have 6 years clean and sober. Life doesn't get easier but it sure gets better. Anyway good job.
I am glad that you mentioned the spiritual side, or lack of, with Meth.
That’s funny, I had a spiritual awakening when I tried it
@@mikesaltman ...I think that drugs open the pathways to demonic influence. Any spiritual awakening, would be the Holy Spirit revealing the truth.
I should take my hat off, you re an inspiration to many dealing with addiction. You’re admirable and courageous.
The high and happiness you feel when you do the things you are passionate about ( can be anything like making music, dance, gardening etc) is the best kind of high. You won't need to do drugs becuase your soul is already fed well.

You described my husband exactly. Unfortunately he passed away two weeks after his 50th birthday. He hid it well until his mother saw the autopsy report. He smoked it regularly. So sad not only for me but also for our 25 year old daughter. If only he could have stopped.
Sad for your loss. Wish you the best. Drugs are a scourge.
Thank you so much for sharing this. My daughter needs healing from addiction and now cancer. It’s been a nightmare but I’m trusting God that He will provide what is needed!!!
How is she nowadays
I have not touched meth for 14 years! Thank God! I hated it. I absolutely hated what it did to my mental health. I lived on the streets, caught charges and was out of my mind on that crap. So glad I found the willpower and got over it. Such a waste of life!
Kudos to you. I'm so happy for you.

Thanks for your story. My cousin once a top athlete that I looked up to when we were growing up, got hooked on it. He eventually died, because his heart gave out. He started by snorting, then smoking, and finally was into injecting it. He was a great guy very funny, sure do miss him.

I really liked your story. I have never used meth, and never want to. I just lost someone that was like a son to the lifestyle surrounding meth. Unfortunately he was shot by another user. I have a two brothers who is abusing it and it keeps them chained. Instead of judging anyone I want to understand more so I understand how I can help. I pray for them and love them.
