I just changed mine and found this video afterwards. The gears have a key slot so i assumed the timing marks didn’t need to be aligned. I just pulled the old gears and put the new ones in the same spot. Is it possible that the timing is off. The engine is now running rough and bogging
The little round piece that you said to make sure it was cleaned out and not to drill it any bigger I'm unclear about where it goes you didn't show where it came out of and where it went back into I've got my engine completely apart I'm overhauling the engine and I haven't seen that piece so I don't know where I go about to find it so could you enlighten me on where it should be so that I can clean it and put it back thank you Greg

It goes behind the cam sprocket.
Nobody showed you how to get that pulley hub off
What got you to the point of needing to change it
