- Things You Should Not Miss in Death Stranding. If you are interested in exploring the uncharted places in Death Stranding, you may come across interesting things that you may have missed. Video shows the following:
It is possible to explore the waterfall (after you fall down it).
If Sam relieves himself on a structure, you can actually see liquid splatter in Death Stranding.
Find out how to active reflex mode (slow-mo) just like MGSV.
NPC Porters will actually take shelter from Timefall Rain inside a shelter now, even when Sam is nearby.
Get non-offered cargo from NPC porters by using a tricky weapon.
Discover what happens when the Elder passes away near the endgame (turns into Gazer BT).
It is possible to escape from invisible BT by entering a Safe House at the last moment.
See the location of strange brain BTs at the most southern area of the middle map.
Locate the hidden temple gate on top of a mountain and sit on top of it to rest.

I was able to take a nap in the “Broken Shelter” in ruined South Knot City, (can’t remember what it was called, exactly) and BT’s appeared while I was asleep! They were floating all around me for about 15 minutes,
then finally drifted away. My Odradek was going _nuts,_ but BB & I were sleeping like babies together, (his pod was red, but he was sucking his thumb sleeping) and the BT’s didn’t seem to notice us! Probably because I was lying still and breathing softly.
I recorded it, I plan to upload it later with other things I’ve found as well. :)

Long answer on how to do it with spoilers: You cant reach 5 stars with him early on, after you are a little far ahead on the story you will start to get A LOT of "Emergency" deliveries for him, all of them are medicine. I suggest when you are at the top to put some ropes leading towards The Engineer of the other big base to the south
After maybe 2 or 3 times getting the meds, one day you will arrive and it will be raining. You deliver the stuff and the hologram will pop up, its a BT, he died. Quite chilling

@@eden20111 No. Voidouts happen when there's direct contact of a BT with a person with DOOMS like Sam. The Elder BT is trapped inside the bunker. Also BTs are just invisible but not like ghost so he wont get out, we see the hologram of what's inside

I maxed my connection with the Elder and received an email that arrived after my last delivery, thanking Sam for everything he's done and letting Sam know he's "taking [his] last dose." It may indicate that he was planning it and ready to pass on. The Engineer (also at max connection) emailed me too, letting me know that he knows the Elder has passed and talking about what good friends they'd become at the end.
Still don't know whether to feel better or worse that two freelance porters were at the Elder's place when I arrived, trying to make deliveries. One of them sat down at the back of the vestibule outside the inner entrance and put his head in his hands, apparently overcome with emotion for a moment. Meanwhile, I actually rested in the shelter, just to see if I needed to take the Elder's body somewhere. Nothing doing - so the idea that he's tied to his bunker make sense.
One thing you should definitely not miss is the game itself, Death Stranding. Such an AMAZING game

I found a fun use for the cargo catapult: build one just outside of MULE territory and launch vog decoy packages into their camp. Theyll investigate the airdrops and get KO'd.

well I guess if you got rid of the body he could never turn into a BT
Voidouts are only triggered when a live person gets pulled into a larger BT (that's why some people try and kill themselves/others when they start to get dragged away) so if it's just the elder living by themselves and word has gotten around that he passed away then there's no need to get rid of the body, since it's unlikely that people are going to be going up there.
The reason Corpse Disposal exists is that corpses undergo necrosis and a BT is produced. In order to stop even more BTs from popping up and adding on to the already high amount of BTs in the world of the living, a unit from Bridges is tasked with incinerating bodies to prevent new BTs from appearing, thus lowering the chance that they catch people and cause voidouts.
That would mean no friendly cute elder bt to give you delivery orders😢.

@@SunBunz Yes! Also if you get a 5 star level with Heartman he will give you a cryptobite toy, if you put it on your bag they will stop flying away so you can grab as many as you want

#7 That's not Reflex mode that's simply what the game does anytime you knock someone unconscious. It doesn't affect alert status bc the game doesn't have alert status in the strict sense.

There are more Brain BTs (or Jellies as I call them) floating around in a lake south of Novelist's Son.
The elder becomes a BT if you don't deliver to him consistently. There are people who kept him alive past the main game

The blooper BTs also spawn on the beach between the ruins of Central Knot and the incinerator, and on the coast in the corner of the map sorta near the photographer.
They probably spawn in other places too but not found them yet, apart from the end game, where they find you...
And along the mountain path to Port Knot City as well, right in front of the rock arch, NW to the Musician.
Was in a hurry so I decided to ignore them and speed my trike downhill. Just after I went pass, I got caught by golden BT at the foot of the mountain XD
I like playing target practice with them. One bullet to burst them. But after watching one of edepot's videos, I'm going to try and launch remote hermetic grenades at them next time.
When using the sticky guns hold triangle to grab the flying cargo instead of it landing on the ground and getting damaged

Oh, so that's *WHY* the reflex mode is there in the first place! So that You can pick one cargo and grab it using the gravity gloves or sticky gun while it is still in the air! That is actually so COOL !!! 💖💖💖💖💖😎

Edit: in one of your previous videos where you showed off a trick of standing and holding your breath in order to make BTs disappear, I've tried multiple times and it doesn't work, so, I'm saddened in that regard. Still, found out a useful trick for getting a trike through BT territory, so that's a plus
Take the bola gun with you and the game becomes a walk in the park because the BTs don't come back after you cut their umbilical cord

I love how the music is so ominous near the brain/jellyfish BTs but only at that area behind the Timefall Farm. I guess it's cause there's no timefall happening like at the place where they appear by the Ruined Factory? I find behind the Timefall Farm to be the creepiest area of the map just because of how eerily calm it is. It's my next safehouse location for sure! (I have another built by that really big Cryptobiote area between Engineer & Film Director & it's so peaceful 🥰)

Brain BT can be encountered near the incinerator on Lake Knot City. Some of those things actually spawn items and lost cargo when popped. Definitely check them out.

I wanted to see if it would trigger a B.T. fight sequence where i could go across the water and try to go into the crater left of middle knot city.

#8 🤣🤣🤣 nope didn't know that either! I do know the game won't let you "pee" around certain objects etc and Sam tells you basically no if you try it near cargo. I still haven't finished the game! Got so burned out decided to take a lot of time off and watch others play but probably shouldn't have done that since now I know how it ends.. which yes seems so long due to the HUGE and DRAMATIC cutscenes.

It kinda depends on you and if your able to figure things out.
Get to Chapter 4 asap. You'll get something there which is crucial for the majority of the game.

@@SunBunz what I meant is story related. Only missables are the collectibles, which are memory chips. These unlock when preppers reach a certain level of connection but aren't needed for the story or unlockables. There's only one memory chip that's related to a unlockable. When you get a story mission from South Knot City to retrieve some rare materials and you're in the area just look for a cave. You'll find it there

when it rains (Timefall), the NPC porters will also seek refuge under the player timefall shelters (The umbrella things), pretty neat, i think they also make use of ladders and climbing anchors (i've gotten likes from NPC porters on my placed equipment before)
But have you seen them actually use the ladders and anchors?

Red BT it's easy to one hit kill with cufflink, if you want to spend hematic rounds you will need heavy weapons and combine with chiral bullets to kill it asap,

Yea, I gathered that much. But, what I'm talking about is why, whenever Sam walks up to one of these dudes, they just immediately hold out their cargo without saying anything. It looks like either they know Sam is coming to gank their shit and just hold it out for him to take rather than have Sam mug them or that they're passing the buck along like "Here, noob. Hoof this shit over there before I shove a shotgun up your ass. "

Yes, but at the end of the epilogue, you can't go back to Edge Knot City to see them, you would need to look for them at locations like the one shown in video
