Not only sounds better,, but looks better too
Looks and sounds great! Nice job, Milltek! The car wheel/tire setup looks incredible, too 👍🏻🍻
Sounds awesome! Great job as always staying ahead of the competition!
❤❤❤
Could we get a list of everything that’s been done to the car. Not trying to copy but I’m in love with the way this car looks.
i loved the sound the exhaust mate.
!
It finally sounds good!
So the video showing off your freshly developed exhaust system doesn't have any clips of full, WOT pulls to redline? Just putting around at part throttle? Kinda weird, but okay.
yeah barely past 4000...
Hey, totally appreciate the feedback :) It's not our vehicle so we try to be as respectful as possible especially when they have barely had a chance to have fun with it either before bringing it in to us for development! But as soon as he gets the vehicle back and we start shipping out more products I'm sure there will be more content!
The car might not be past its break-in period, which leads us to believe how much was this exhaust tested. I'm going to wait for the jdm companies, they seem to be doing a lot of r and d and not trying to rush a product out.
@@Shokeilive we didn't develop the product in the USA, it was done at our center in the UK - this is just a customer install we decided to shoot out here!
Hope you find something you are happy with though! :)
Do you ship to USA?
Great video guys
First exhaust I’ve heard on the FL5 and it sounds better than the FK8. I understand it’s the same motor but could be from the added section in the inlet pipe
FK8 Apexi N1 >
its also a valved exhaust now
love the video quality
Yes 🙌🏼 thanks for working with me!
Sounds good!
❤ that’s how it should’ve come from the factory 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Nice. Been waiting on some audio comparisons!!
Hey would installation of the milltek performance cat downpipe increase exhaust sound too, I know completely removing catalytic converters make a big difference in the sound, personally I think the resonated has a better time than none res. Wonder how the resonated will sound in conjunction with your performance cat downpipe??
P.s. my cars due in April, when will these systems be available in Australia?
Hey Troy - Generally speaking I would normally recommend going at least mid-resonated if you're installing a downpipe but it's such a personal choice and completely depends on what you're looking to achieve but having a downpipe with hi-flow sports cat will be much less restrictive than the stock downpipe so will add to the sound level achieved by just the cat-back.
Do you guys address the water building up issue in the muffler section? I had the non res racing exhaust by milltek.. there were multiple leak points from back welds plus the water build up issue.. smh
Hey - fair question! We did. On the FK8 we used hollowtek technology for the rear silencer which very early on we realized created a problem with buildup in the casing itself, the system went back in to redevelopment and a solution was created to allow a route for the water to escape - if you have this system and are still having issues please get in touch with us directly so we can get this resolved for you!
The FL5 is a completely different backbox which does not use hollowtek technology and physically does not have a way for the water to get trapped in the casing so will not be a problem on these vehicles :)
Is it legally approved to drive on the open road in the EU in any of the configurations offered? Is the documentation provided to prove it? Is the closing and opening of the valve controlled from the original car dashboard system?
Any sound testing done inside the vehicle (db)? Does it cause "drone sound" inside it?
Thanks
Thank you de
These set ups are not TUV Approved for the EU but also it's a Non-OPF vehicle so it will sound completely different to the EU vehicles. Tegiwa have posted some videos of theirs with the EC approved systems I believe!
It will be currently awaiting EC approval
Any plans for Integra type s exhaust?
how does that fl5 has a valve exhaust ? in Europe they dont got that
Can the Si get some love?
Sounds good, but would have been nice to hear it revved out..
On which page can I buy this exhaust?
Does the exhaust system come with front pipe or should I get one from prl
Our catback system comes with the front pipe.
how did you keep the valve open all the time with the OEM exhaust?
We didn't :( But we are also developing a valve module to override the factory settings and allow you to keep the valves open all the time!
you can pull the fuse for the valve
Check out some of my clips of the exhaust sounds pretty damn good !
Nothing sounds better than Veloster N for the price and it's stock exhaust
Saludos !! Busca las pipas de fabrica
Wheel and tyre?
Road + Version?
Nice sound , i wonder why some people said that the 2023 honda Civic type r is has ugly sound
it doesnt sound as good as the old NA type Rs and its quieter than the cheaper elantra N
it sounds decent but will wait to see what AWE, Armytrix and Remus come out with
leave the resonator on trust me
Anyone know what wheels and tires they have on the car?
Idk? It’s really hard to make a 4 banger sound good. I’m sure with enough money you can buy a super expensive finely tuned exhaust that changes the sound, pitch, depth and loudness. That’s what this car needs a deeper louder more aggressive sounding exhaust
What color tips are these
These are the brushed titanium tips shown in the video
This car needs a tune asap
price???
Original with valve open is best. such a clean clear sound.... Here you can see that OEMs have been researching the exhaust systems in the exhaust system sound studio for long time to mix up the ideal sound spectrum for a car.
Yeh the Milltek actually sounds terrible - it’s just noise, and not a good one…
Sounds amazing but weld quality looking sketchy
Honda Civic Type R 2023 in Indonesia $ 937.172,60
something down from the car at 2.32 min haha!!
I need more money 🤔
Wheels specs?
they are 18x9.5 +45
Sounds just as the stock 1 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Someone is going to pay hefty for a bit more sound than stock.
Sounds nothing like stock. I have an Fk8 and went from stock to Milltek non-res and the sound is like night and day.
Pero pisalle
Kinda sounds like a focus st
For EU how many FL5 will be produced.... 500-1000? Thats a foolish.
Who got there grandma to drive?
I think the excessive diameter and the lack of mufflers makes it sound like a drainpipe is attached to the headers.
Exhaust notes used to be distinguished and classy. Now its all moved to open drainpipes with overrun so they all barf and gargle. This doesn't sound unique to, say, a Mercedes with a 2.0 turbo.
The resonated one sounds OK.
I don't understand the allure of having an exhaust so loud that you need to yell as your passengers when talking to them.
Cabin stays quiet during drive. Wife approved too so it’s not loud inside.
Not the worst sounding 4 cylinder but still not good sounding.
Elantra n exhaust sounds better than this. 😮😮
