Helped your seat height demonstration. Watching lots of UA-cam videos of tiger 660 and I am 5.4 height and it is your demo gives me the confident to go to the nearest triumph showroom
Was just at the dealership here in Seattle, WA looking at the Sport 660. I learned more from your review than I did talking to the salesman. Thanks for the help!
Love the looks and as a former trident owner it will be so much fun to ride though like you Kate I have very short legs so would need the lowered seat. Thanks for including the insurance info too it will work very well over time. One more thing, you are already looking really relaxed on video since you’ve gone full time. You look really professional and confident so well done you and keep ‘em coming 👏👏👏👍
Great Vlog Kate. Of all the Tiger 660 reviews - are there are shed loads - yours is the ONLY one I found that deals with the seat height. I too am 29in, but I have elderly knees. Triumph owe you, because having seen this, I took one for a test ride, and I take delivery on 1st March. Thanks again
Lovely looking bike! And thanks Nigel, I appreciate not everyone is a 30 year old girl but I wanted to keep it consistent so if I review 2 litre bikes, people can get a rough idea as to what is cheaper to insure for me. Thanks for the support as always nigel 👍
Hey Leif, it was your patreon request for a similar style to my tiger 900 gt low video that prompted me to do it this way again so I'm glad you liked it 😊
Someone who seems to know what they’re going on about! Another in depth review, thanks. Glad to see U tube maybe working out Kate, good luck, can’t wait for the next Vlog !
Congratulations on the review. All that was needed was to turn on the tiger and let it purr to grace our ears and thus, listen to that perfect symphony of the three-cylinder engine of that English 660. Until the next video.
Quality walk around, lovely looking bike, love the fact you show how easy ish it is to move but more importantly how to us vertically challenged humans (short arses) it would be once sat on it, look forward to the riding review 👍🏍👍🏍👍
Great vid Kate (just subscribed!) I just traded my Bonneville T120 for a TS 660. The 660 joins my Tiger 1200 XRT--- a "Mini Me" of that bike, for an additional twisty-roads play toy. I'm an on-road-only guy, with over 35 yrs riding experience, former race track guy. The Bonneville just didn't do it for me, as I still enjoy putting a bike on the side of its tires. I've had my full-on sport bikes, but my aging knees no longer tolerate being pretzeled into a saddle. At 5'9", the little 660 fits me like a glove--without causing pain. It doesn't have a ton of power, but it flicks fantastically, and the engine note is just beautiful. I'll be adding the quick-shifter to mine, as the gearbox is going to get used a lot---it's not like the 1200 which can pretty much live in 3rd gear all day. Being in the US, for new bikes with lovely slim-line LED signals (like the TS660 here) we usually get stuck with stupid incandescent turn signals, because our US DOT (and Canada too, I believe) is stuck in the 1970's. With the TS660, we actually get it better than our European cousins. Our US bikes come with LED signals (a little bigger in size) and the rear signals are red, which light up with the brake light, to give additional lighting during braking maneuvers---very cool in my book! I'm looking forward to getting my TS660 past its break-in period, so I can let this little engine bounce off its rev limiter, while tossing it back & forth on my favorite mountain roads. Cheers Kate, safe riding!
Kate, this was a great review, so nice to see you show the seating position etc, very few do that, plus having the insurance information was also most helpful. Thanks a lot!

Nice review Kate. I just sat on one at Iron Pony here in the US. Very comfy and upright. It was just under $10k usd. The grey one was pretty sharp and I liked it better than the Blue...didnt see the red in the show room.
Doing great there Kate! Would love to see your take on its big brother, the new Tiger 1200. If you could get your hands on one that is 😎 keep em coming, regards from Amsterdam!

Hi, no mention of the "other" capable competitor in the market - the very able Suzuki DL650 V Strom...... I like the adjustable screen and the dash. The front mudguard appears to be way too short as is the rear mudguard.

Great review and good to know likely insurance costs. As someone with a similarly short bum-floor interface to your own, a lowered seat would be a must. The costs then start to add up, especially with Triumph’s mercenary approach: £100 for a lick of paint and some decals! Triumph have forgotten to provide the other half of the front mudguard. An interesting omission on a supposed “adventure” bike. Until they do, have fun cleaning the thing. Watch out for stones hitting the radiator: no doubt Triumph will sell you a protector for another few hundred quid….
Hey Bumble! Yes, I have to agree, the mudguard is more on the sports side than the tourer side! 🤭 and rad guards are so important! Find it rare for any manufacturer to put one on these days 😩 I'm glad you enjoyed the walk round! 🚶♀️👍
Nice review Kate. I’m seriously looking at one of these as an option when I replace the GS especially as it’s lighter. I had a trident as a loan bike last week and loved the engine and chassis. Keep up the good work you’ll definitely be fine doing UA-cam full time. 👏🏼🏍

Warning for AU and NZ buyers, this bike enters the country pre-crippled to 55.5bhp for LAMS learners, instead of 80bhp as in the UK. Being detuned by the dealer you might assume would be the right way to do it as riding noobs arrive with their dads money. No mention on our local Triumph website that the dealer can/will give it back it's full potential when you buy it or how you can confirm it by looking at something on a screen. The same story for the Trident.
Oh dear choices so many. I do prefer naked bikes so therefore prefer the 660 over this, however if I went with my head rather than my heart this bike is a great option. If I got another bike it would certainly be in the mid range I dont require anything larger plus I take a 30 inch jeans leg length so lets say vertically challenged. Going with my heart and brain at once I would probably go for the W800. But then I have always liked the look of Kawasakis.
Hi Kate nice bike but wouldn’t get one Prefer my bmw F850 GS Adventure buts that’s me it would have to be just has capable if not better to try and convince me away from the Beast. Already with bike sure 👍👍👍🙏 ps 7 weeks to go for NC 500 getting excited 😜

As a 42 year old male I now insure a 2014 f800gs £47 a year fully comp. In Bristol
Winner!!!
53 year old male, on a Trident - only Lexham (& Triumph) would insure me (licence held for 30 years but NCD) - £368. With £1100 excess.
Lovely looking bike, but should have a center stand.
Yes that would be very handy!
Interesting!!
I have an opinion, if possible try the tracer 7 you will be surprised by it👍
I'd love to ride one!
Hi Kate nice bike but wouldn’t get one Prefer my bmw F850 GS Adventure buts that’s me it would have to be just has capable if not better to try and convince me away from the Beast.

The countdown is ON! 🙌🙌 I'm so excited for you! And it's good that you know what you like and you're happy with your choice of bike! 💪 that's a great feeling
A f850gs and a tiger 660. Are very different bikes. Maybe both have 2 wheels in common but not much else.

Thanks Carlos!
Awesome to see a female perspective, and to be honest us blokes are to frightened to say the things you say like moving the bike, how tall the bike is to your feet on the ground, anyway real world stuff, very refreshing
