Lmao it's exactly that. The truth is that they obviously have absolutely no evidence for the existence of god. They are the ones who are too blinded for admit that their imaginary friend does not exist, because THEY are closed to the truth.
The mere fact that humans are still debating the existence of god in 2024 is already proof that he doesn't exist. There is absolutely no logical reason for god to "hide" lol, he doesn't need to sneakily hide to "test" humans, testing is a human notion that makes no sense to a god. God is supposed to know everything, to know everything in advance and everything that happens is supposed to be his will, so he does not need to test to know, it's humans who need to test. If god really existed he would not hide and his existence would be a proven fact that everyone would know, he would be visible to everyone and there would be no need to debate his existence. But the truth is that god doesn't exist, their skydaddy is imaginary.

"When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer, for God thought, 'If the people face war, they may change their minds and return to Egypt.' So God led the people by the roundabout way of the wilderness bordering the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of the land of Egypt prepared for battle. And Moses took with him the bones of Joseph, who had required a solemn oath of the Israelites, saying, 'God will surely come to you, and then you must carry my bones with you from here.' They set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness. The Lord went in front of them in a pillar of cloud by day, to lead them along the way, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light, so that they might travel by day and by night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people."

@@Firestorm12345678910 To go one step further, it would assume that god has eyes that perceive light. Eyes are a physical feature, just as light is a physical phenomenon. So it isn't even about God "needing" light to see, it is about God lacking any physical receptor or physical means to interact with light anyway!
Reminds me of the whole "created in His image thing". So God has a physical form from which to copy Himself onto a lesser physical form? If so, either God is VERY far from the perfection put forth in the Bible, or He was using the worst copying machine that could possibly exist (and doing so by choice since God is also all-powerful).
Perhaps they meant that our "spirit" (as if we have such a thing) was created in God's image. In that case, we once again have a very imperfect God, though that is at least accurate to the actions God takes in the Bible if not accurate to God's direct description. After all, God demonstrates arrogance, rage, jealousy, hatred, greed, self-importance, and many other traits that are extremely well-represented amongst the human population, then and now...

@@Jedi_Vigilante If God possesses all the senses (seeing, hearing, touch, taste, smell, balancing - maybe I'm missing something, just gonna chuck the entire brain organ in there for good measure etc) then why divide up such attributes in it's human creation? Wouldn't it be more simpler and elegant to have all the senses combined the way god has it combined?
Eyes so humans can see, nose so they can smell? I mean why not just create a universe where you do not need to divide...oh wait it's called heaven(!) and God had no troubles whatsoever creating it and inhabiting it with angels and other weird (animal/wheel hybrids etc) looking heavenly creatures/beings.
So I'm sure God takes 'pleasure' from creating universes (the act of creating is this God's crack cocaine) but still sucks at the suffering bit. That's right he has reserved a 2nd try...a second try god...no more creating things you need to step away from creating and just accept yourself as who you are...now everyone (deities) please stand up hold hands and pray the prayer of the deities. One step at a time god, one step at a time you will get through this.
Imagine this god as a young punk teen with a heavy metal K R E A T O R poster on his wall because he is really into creating despite his "God" parents keep telling him to practice moderation and to always think things through but he just turns up the music and never listens.

This becomes especially apparent when you start studying the various versions of bibles as books. Only human beings write books. All bibles, all holy books, are examples of literature. Literature is a form of creative writing. As such, it is not authoritative. Every claim in any piece of literature has to be assessed individually, based on evidence.
I started my studies with these books, which are now a permanent part of my library:
Who Wrote the Bible? by Richard S Friedman
God: The Most Unpleasant Character in All Fiction, by Dan Barker
Did Moses Exist? by Acharya S.
Jesus: Mything in Action, parts 1, 2, and 3, by David Fitzgerald
Jesus the Magician, by Morton Smith
Jesus Never Existed, by Kenneth Humphreys
The Illusion of God's Presence, by John C Wathey
      & more... see bibliographies. 🎉

All of the gospels were written by anonymous authors decades after the events they supposedly describe. And the gospels present contradictory accounts. Speaking of contradictions - the Bible is full of them.

The first sentence of the Bible in Hebrew is 'Bereshit bara Elohim et hashamayim ve'et ha'aretz.' The
third word in that sentence is 'Elohim.' And, 'Elohim' did not mean 'God' in ancient Hebrew. Rather, it meant 'the sons and daughters of 'El.' And, 'El' was both the ancient Israelite’s and Canaanite's supreme god. So, in light of all of that, let’s take a look at a more accurate translation of the first sentence in Genesis: 'In the beginning the sons and daughters of El (the gods) created the Universe (or everything).' Also, in Genesis, Chapter 2, the Torah introduces 'YHVH (Yahweh/Jehovah). And, Elohim and YHVH are two distinctly gods. Therefor, for Ron to claim that The Book of Genesis claims that there is but only one god, only proves that Ron is sadly lacking in his knowledge of ancient Hebrew/Semite/Middle Eastern history.

If god is perfect, why did he create such flawed creations as human beings - unless he designed those flaws in, in which case punishing people for his intentional design flaws would be an example of his lack of "perfection" (unless lack of justice and compassion are "perfect" somehow).

"I am perfect IN *ALL THINGS*....Now behold my incredibly flawed and frequently hostile creations, that break randomly sometimes, are born with a disease and didnt even listen to me when i was the only parent. My almightyness is unquestionable!!!!"

    Proof of the divine.
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

No wonder these ppl are terrified of the power of books, the way they ascribe so much power to 1.

This is awful to listen to. Where did Matt and Paul come up with this caller. I'm afraid I would have insisted the caller give a different example than Genesis 1:1. Why not explain how 1 Kings 19:11 fits the bill? Or, pick any other one there is, the number of choices for which is estimated to be over 2000. Please.

To Ron, a president or king is probably a "higher authority" and must be a god because of how differently they speak compared to men with lower positions. Hero worship of leaders and celebrities make me sick. No human deserves to rule others. None!

Just curious, since I love learning new things. @paulogia said that the Enuma Elish starts "It began.." and so I thought it was interesting and went to read some translations. All the ones found didn't start that way, they start "When on high". Is "When on high" correlated to "It began" in the original text or are there translations that I didn't find?

101 Dalmatians is not human-centric either. This guy could read something more than the Bible, and stop embarrassing himself.

10:10 Every other book is about people? Guy hasn't read a whole lot of books, eh? You know another "non chauvenistic"😂 way to start a book? "Once upon a time..." Also, the Bible was written by man - Matthew, Luke, John etc. - not God. Which is why the first sentence it says "In the beginning, God created heaven and earth." If it was in first person, it would be, "I".

So if I wrote “in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth” on a piece of paper, I would have written something divine

He's nuts. He has no idea of what definition is, what evidence is, and what something material like a book is.
    Just nuts.
