I love Adele and I must be honest AJ hit the nail on the head. It was delicious!!!!
As I see it........It empathy... She was born with it. Feeling the feelings of others. and understanding and knowing how it effects them - hence the shoe-less girl she gave her shoes to.....

I listened to Adele's original before I listened to Angelina. Adele has a voice like no other, her lyrics really touch you, she really knows how to put an emotion in words. I loved it.
BUT, from the moment Angelina sang "All I ask is.....", I choked up and had to stop the video. This girl can covey emotion like no other. She has your heart in her hand. I eventually got through the song, but it left me exhausted, like I had finished a race. No singer has ever made me feel this way. By the way, I am 71.
She is putting her stamp on everything on all her music! Please Protect this Jewel at all cost!

It's as spectacular performance as she's ever done, I think.
I have always wondered why Angelina didn't change the lyrics for this piece rather than simply disown it. If there is more to this story than lyrics that she is unwilling to sing then I would love to know what that is.

@@rwlewko I have given up on trying to understand the story with "I'm Still Holding Out for You" and just enjoy it. Hopefully someday Angelina herself will tell the story.
@@rwlewko I agree; there's got to be more to it than that. She sang this for somebody else as a demo for the song. He was shopping it around and finally had to release it himself about a year later. It's available on UA-cam

The simple vocal and instrumental version focus on her absolutely gorgeous voice.
I listen to, and have great respect for many( l won't list them) young prodigy singers in the world today..But only Angelina Jordan Astar, ACTUALLY touches my heart. I knew you'd love this one, and love to see you at her new concert. Oh, and l agree " I'm still holding out for you " at age 10.

@@leebrn8588 l haven't listened to Amira, but l will. But to be clear, for my part, when l say touches my heart, l don't mean emotions, but something deeper. Diana and Dimash move me emotionally, but doesn't touch my heart. One example for me, even though her voice isn't fully developed, is when she did " lf You Go Away". At 2:36 her facial expression and voice stabs me, then near the end at 3:34, it's like she's waking up, from were ever she came. How does a 12 year old girl do this?
It's amazing how the best songs, always leave you wanting more.

Angelina has shown the world that it is false that an artist has to suffer to express human emotions and feelings. That is the beauty of Angelina, she sings and you think that there is something beautiful waiting for you sometime, somewhere and that you just have to go and look for it. Love is the most powerful force in the universe and it comes from each one of us.

It is impossible for that song to be sung any better than that!
I have heard this song so many times. When others sing it, it does not touch me; Bruno Mars, Adele... But Angelina's voice gets me every time. I feel almost ridiculous sitting here with tears in my eyes every time... She seems to have some mystical power to touch the heart, how does she do that? I can''t explain it, it's just irresistible. I'm not sure anyone has had that power before. She will no doubt use it wisely.
The BESTEST Interpreter of any Lyric I have ever heard in my 60 plus years. Kudos to her Grandmother Zamani and her Mother for encouraging her at the age of 1 1/2.
She did a cover of this song when she was 12 y.o., I think.
Angelina is beyond amazing. My mom God rest her soul would have cried tears of joy seeing her sing, as she was a famous singer in the BigBand Era. We watched many singers, and she would have Loved Angelina. 15 years old, and already the best singer on the planet. Another great review.

She is an emotional genius. It's what drives her vocals and her arrangements.

But indeed, her voice is unique by itself with the dark, but clear quality. And then she started singing "jazz, when she was very young..." (©a.jordan @TheView). Still in the cradle with a microphone. She learned all the skills, insane details, sense of timing and dynamics, ornamentation and then she also happens to have this emotional inner connection with lyrics. In many ways you can say that she is lucky, born to sing, but it's clear that she works extremely hard to develop herself to the best Angelina! So we are lucky too!

If you asked me my favorite Angelina song, especially as I have listened to everything she has done hundreds of times, I couldn't tell you. Sure I had a top tier, but none I could single out as "my favorite" as all were so wonderful. That is until today. This cover is Angelina Jordan perfection! This is Angie in her native environment. Pure sound from her magnificent emotional melismatic vocals and just a piano. No need for orchestral flare and mixing enhancements. Here, the last chorus was especially soul crushing! No other artist in all my 79 years has affected me like Angelina Jordan.

Any rendition performed by Angelina Jordan is a masterpiece, because the way she transform music to beautiful melody full of harmony, plus the softness of her tone voice, and at the same time adding the strenth of her vocals in the right moment; plus her vocal fry, runs, colors, tenderness....Yes and putting all this together in the right place (and you bet she knows very well how to do it) she obtains an art piece like no one else .That is what it makes her unique, and because of this ,Angelina and Only Angelina can beat Angelina.

I never thought I would like such a whiny song about love - I don't like songs like that EVER.
But YOUR cover and Angelinas cover made me forget about the text and enjoy your vocal capabilities.

But guys, PLEASE don't always sing about this "love-stuff" - it wakes wrong expectations in young hearts.
Hearts that break so easily if their expectations don't get met (in real life).

Just as you said, Angelina is a true artist. She can take any song and make you believe she is the one that wrote it. She is somehow always able to understand the deep meanings behind the songs and then convey them to the listener so clearly. There is nobody else like her... a true one of a kind artist, and we are lucky enough to get to watch her progress through many more years!
Rusty, For a long time now I have been puzzling over how Angelina can emote so well at her age, and I think it must be her grandmother's influence. Her grandmother has decades of experience portraying amazing images and emotions through the details of colors and textures on canvas, and I would not be at all surprised if she has worked with Angelina to show her how to do the same thing with the colors and textures of her voice and music. But that's all I've got …
@@zombie7857 this might be a fair assumption. We know that angelina spent a lot of time with her grandmother and just having someone like that as a kind of "peer" would cause many things to rub off on her. Also if you watch all the home videos on the Mosarz channel, many times when angelina was young you can hear mery behind the camera leading her in song. From the litte bits I have heard, it seems she is also a pretty good singer.

@@Calers-gu1ib not _my_ fanclub anymore. Shane is not someone that should be associated with Angelina's name in any way. (I won't say much more than that publically).
My main groups now are Angelina Jordan Fans - The Shield (public group) and Angelina Jordan "Feeling Good" Fanclub (private group). I encourage anyone that is a member of that other group to leave it and join any of the other groups instead. The Shield is where the biggest fans hang out. You will not see any breaking updates in Shane's group that doesn't hit Shield first 😉
Even though Angelina covers so many genres, the unique texture and flexibility of her voice, plus the delivery of the lyrics, makes her singing recognizable right away now. It doesn’t matter if it’s her own composition or a cover like this one. You can close your eyes and hear a song for the first time and know immediately it’s Angelina. She has multiple signature elements in her singing that are so strong and unique that I haven’t heard anyone try to cover Angelina. For me-I don’t think it would be a good idea to try to cover the best singer I’ve ever heard.
Oooh, I looooooove the style she gives an already good song with that she brings it to a new level. I ve got always the "Angelina IMPACT" (Wich I called them "Goosebumps" she gave me when she sings) . Shes an unbelivable musician Chameleon. Ull always get the full package from her, with all her surprises that she puts in the Song that changes it so perfekt and makes it her own. I just adore her.... Im so glad that she lives in my Part of lifetime and I can listen to her. Always Goosebumps the hardest along the Song when she does it. Bless her......
Just when I think she might have plateaued, she does this. WOW!! I believe this is her best performance Ever! And one of the best from Anyone at Anytime. STUPENDOUS!! And where did that snaggle-toothed little girl go? She has become a Stunningly Beautiful young woman. What we have here is the Total Package---Incredible talent, Stunning beauty, Humility, and a truly Caring, Loving person. But I believe that those who have followed Angelina since NGT knew that this would be her evolution. We used to say I wonder what this prodigy will be like at 15, 17, or 19. Angelina Jordan is a once in forever musical artist. Yes of course she is a prodigy but with a set of skills unlike any prodigy before her. The most impressive skill, IMO, is her ability to make the listener feel her music and convey more emotion than any other. Angelina doesn't try to be emotional, she just is. I believe Angelina tries to sing a song as best she possibly can and the results are out of this world. Remember on Norway's Got Talent when Angelina said a woman told her she was moved to tears and Angelina's response was, "I didn't mean too". Angelina's has always chosen mature, highly emotional songs to sing, likely because she found them to have more meaning to her. It never fails, when a reactor returns to react to Angelina after a couple weeks or a couple months, they all say how much they miss hearing her voice. I believe it is more the physical and emotional connection which they have missed. No other vocalist, IMO, even comes remotely close. For all these reasons, along with Angelina's humbleness and empathy, is why I have devoted so much time to share the gift of Angelina with as many people as possible. Angelina is on a mission to sing for the entire world and I truly believe she will and as a result improve countless lives for the better. I encourage every angel to also spread the talent, love and magic that is Angelina, with as many people as possible. I thank all the reactors on UA-cam for doing their part. Be humble, be honest, be human and allow Angelina to inspire you to become a better more caring person as she has done for me.

She has created a wonderful old style atmosphere, it's only Angelina, her voice that fills all the spaces of the imagination, a sweet elegance and a hint of the piano background ... it's a unique and exciting fresco. She has grown up and the charm of her voice is becoming almost supernatural, this little girl is truly the music, in the her deepest essence. I can't listen to it without being moved every time. She has the ability to read songs, in an incredible way and she don't need colorful or redundant shows, just a simple piano or guitar accompaniment is enough for she to do the magic.😊 ❤️
