Based on the true story of when she was six years old, Angelina met a homeless, shoeless girl. Bob Morgret Her grandmother is a well known poet snd painter in her native Iran ( she was also s child prodigy) she doesn’t sing but has been the enabler that has nurtured Angelinas love of music. Angelina chooses and arranges the covers she has done, she is self motivated and at seven said she wanted to be a superstar and sing for the whole world...looks like she is doing just that...one of the most versatile female voices on the planet and still on a upward trajectory.
first let me say i am a massive fan of angelina and her voice but there are 2 things she needs other than her voice to be a superstar the right songs, either written by her or in partnership with someone the other is making sure that she continues to have the right attitude. there have been a few incredibly good singers that for different reasons did not have the success that matched their voice, but i hope that angelina becomes one of the all time greats as i adore her and her voice.
Angelina is a phenomena. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 after auditioning at the age of 7. She has over 130 covers and several original songs on UA-cam. She is best know for her covers of the great jazz classics, but can sing any genre. She has covered over 65 different artists from Adele to Etta James to Lena Del Rey to Billie Holiday. She can and does adjust her voice to suit the song she is singing, and her ability to convey the emotion of a song is unmatched. I consider her the greatest vocalist of all time, and she is just getting started.

I will watch anything about Angelina. She is a one in a million talent. If you go back and look at her repertoire from age 6 to her current age of 14, you will be amazed at how many genres she covers and makes them her own. She does all her own song choices and arrangements. If you truly like her voice you owe it to yourself to explore what she has already accomplished on UA-cam. They certainly have the clout to push her, so it will be interesting to see in what direction she chooses to go and how far she can go. Personally I like to think of a time in about 50 years when Angelina is one of the biggest divas on the planet, and they make a 'career retrospective' about her life and career, and include some of the stuff that she's already put on UA-cam. The world will have forgotten her humble origins and will rediscover this stuff and be blown away all over again.

In some ways, Bohemian Rhapsody is her magnum opus - the level of vocal control she shows, and the ease with which she demonstrates it is kind of like the culmination of 6-7 years of growth in the public eye. On the other hand, it barely scrapes the surface of her stylistic range. She has covers of jazz and blues standards, R&B, soul, pop, country, EDM (the EDM community seems to LOVE her - check out TRXD's single "Above the Water", which features her voice, and more. She has released three originals so far, all amazing. My favourite is Shield, which is a bond-theme style tribute to her family (mother, father, grandmother, uncle) who have surrounded her, guided her and protected her from the dangers of the world (especially the music world). In the ultimate act of humility, this beautiful, kind, generous, charitable, supremely talented but equally humble girl sings "forgive me for all that I am", an acknowledgement that she has been a burden on them. Of course, world's best "burden". Ever. That line still has the power to make me cry. As others have mentioned, Angelina just signed with Republic Records, the label that represents Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and many others, and has a collaboration agreement with Drake. The Beatles and Elvis were big influences on me and my band, as were the liked of Heart, Steely Dan, Crowded House, the Who and many others. I am a genre-free lover of music. I hate the concept. It is divisive, in my opinion. I love great music, wherever I find it. But the music I tend to listen to most has been classic rock and alternative rock. As my friends here have probably heard too many times now, I have had a difficult, scary, anxious and at times lonely struggle with my health in the past 9 months. When I was stuck in the hospital for months, and especially when I was isolated from my family because of covid restrictions, Angelina's music was a major part of how I hung onto my sanity. She calmed me, she distracted me and she guided me through many badly needed moments of catharsis. Her voice has incredible healing power. David. I first read the lyrics to shield before listening to it. As I read through and coming upon the line “ forgive me for all that I am “ I broke down crying. Maybe at 78 and thinking that a eleven/twelve year old would be thinking this sent me over the edge. This line allows you to pier into her soul. Then when you take the words written in her diary at six years old I had to elevate her to the top of the mountain. I have never seen or been aware of a greater human. There is far more to Angelina than her musical genius. There will be books written about her that will be read hundreds of years from now.
On Norway's got talent, one of the judges, after Angelina's 7 year old performance of "Gloomy Sunday", described her perfectly, "She sings like she's been drinking whiskey since she was two years old."

You were amazed that a 13-year-old could sing like this. Well, get ready, because if you continue to react to her (and I assume you will), she is going to amaze you over and over again, at 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7 (and maybe at 6, too - although, admittedly, most of her singing at that age and earlier was "imperfect" in the ways you might expect from a child singer). I like to say that her singing voice has sounded (at least) twice her actual age, going all the way back to when she was first recorded singing at 1½ (yes, there is video of this - you'll see it eventually). And in terms of her overall persona/personality (whether singing or not), she has always come off as mature far beyond her years (something often described as having "an old soul"). She is a stunningly good singer, and she has one of the most unique, soulful, beautiful voices you’ve ever heard. She sings many genres-jazz, soul, pop, blues, romantic-and kills them all. I won’t say Bohemian Rhapsody isn’t amazing, but there are at least twenty others that will have you reacting the same way. Pick a song you like from her huge catalog on UA-cam, or just prepare to be amazed by going to her youngest performances on Norway’s Got Talent where she channels Billie Holliday or makes judges cry with Summertime or Bang, Bang. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help.
Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person.
- She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need.
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels for and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else)

Bob Morgret Her grandmother is a well known poet snd painter in her native Iran ( she was also s child prodigy) she doesn’t sing but has been the enabler that has nurtured Angelinas love of music. Angelina chooses and arranges the covers she has done, she is self motivated and at seven said she wanted to be a superstar and sing for the whole world...looks like she is doing just that...one of the most versatile female voices on the planet and still on a upward trajectory.
first let me say i am a massive fan of angelina and her voice but there are 2 things she needs other than her voice to be a superstar the right songs, either written by her or in partnership with someone the other is making sure that she continues to have the right attitude. there have been a few incredibly good singers that for different reasons did not have the success that matched their voice, but i hope that angelina becomes one of the all time greats as i adore her and her voice.

She is best know for her covers of the great jazz classics, but can sing any genre. She has covered over 65 different artists from Adele to Etta James to Lena Del Rey to Billie Holiday. She can and does adjust her voice to suit the song she is singing, and her ability to convey the emotion of a song is unmatched. I consider her the greatest vocalist of all time, and she is just getting started.

As I heard this Song at first from her, I thouth, Freddy would be very proud of her. I'm just in Teams, because of the feeling connection to heaven. I' can't heard this Song from her often enough the feel me on heaven.
I will watch anything about Angelina. She is a one in a million talent. If you go back and look at her repertoire from age 6 to her current age of 14, you will be amazed at how many genres she covers and makes them her own. She does all her own song choices and arrangements. If you truly like her voice you owe it to yourself to explore what she has already accomplished on UA-cam. I have not heard or read hardly anything about Angelina's mother. But taking a moment to see Angelina's attributes one has to reflect on where did they come from? Where, why and when? Her mom is amazing.

For info. Angelina just signed with Republic Records (same label as Taylor Swift a.o.) as their no.1 priority 'new artist'. They certainly have the clout to push her, so it will be interesting to see in what direction she chooses to go and how far she can go. Personally I like to think of a time in about 50 years when Angelina is one of the biggest divas on the planet, and they make a 'career retrospective' about her life and career, and include some of the stuff that she's already put on UA-cam. The world will have forgotten her humble origins and will rediscover this stuff and be blown away all over again.

Angelina lists Amy Winehouse as one of her biggest influences, probably in her top 2 along with Billie Holliday. Angelina was fed a steady diet of jazz from 1.5 yrs old. In fact, by 3 she had figured out UA-cam and was happily feeding herself. In some ways, Bohemian Rhapsody is her magnum opus - the level of vocal control she shows, and the ease with which she demonstrates it is kind of like the culmination of 6-7 years of growth in the public eye. On the other hand, it barely scrapes the surface of her stylistic range. She has covers of jazz and blues standards, R&B, soul, pop, country, EDM (the EDM community seems to LOVE her - check out TRXD's single "Above the Water", which features her voice, and more. She has released three originals so far, all amazing. My favourite is Shield, which is a bond-theme style tribute to her family (mother, father, grandmother, uncle) who have surrounded her, guided her and protected her from the dangers of the world (especially the music world). In the ultimate act of humility, this beautiful, kind, generous, charitable, supremely talented but equally humble girl sings "forgive me for all that I am", an acknowledgement that she has been a burden on them. Of course, world's best "burden". Ever. That line still has the power to make me cry.

As for me, I'm a mid-50's psychologist gnome from Canada who grew up listening to, singing and playing (on the drums) classic rock, well before the word "classic" had entered the discussion. The Beatles and Elvis were big influences on me and my band, as were the liked of Heart, Steely Dan, Crowded House, the Who and many others. I am a genre-free lover of music. I hate the concept. It is divisive, in my opinion. I love great music, wherever I find it. But the music I tend to listen to most has been classic rock and alternative rock.
As my friends here have probably heard too many times now, I have had a difficult, scary, anxious and at times lonely struggle with my health in the past 9 months. When I was stuck in the hospital for months, and especially when I was isolated from my family because of covid restrictions, Angelina's music was a major part of how I hung onto my sanity. She calmed me, she distracted me and she guided me through many badly needed moments of catharsis. Her voice has incredible healing power.

David. I first read the lyrics to shield before listening to it. As I read through and coming upon the line “ forgive me for all that I am “ I broke down crying. Maybe at 78 and thinking that a eleven/twelve year old would be thinking this sent me over the edge. This line allows you to pier into her soul. Then when you take the words written in her diary at six years old I had to elevate her to the top of the mountain. I have never seen or been aware of a greater human. There is far more to Angelina than her musical genius. There will be books written about her that will be read hundreds of years from now.

You were amazed that a 13-year-old could sing like this. Well, get ready, because if you continue to react to her (and I assume you will), she is going to amaze you over and over again, at 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7 (and maybe at 6, too - although, admittedly, most of her singing at that age and earlier was "imperfect" in the ways you might expect from a child singer). I like to say that her singing voice has sounded (at least) twice her actual age, going all the way back to when she was first recorded singing at 1½ (yes, there is video of this - you'll see it eventually). And in terms of her overall persona/personality (whether singing or not), she has always come off as mature far beyond her years (something often described as having "an old soul"). I could go on for many, many paragraphs, but I'll just stop here. Suffice it to say, she's amazing in many different ways. You'll see… [grin]
