What an amazing difference when the sun comes out and transforms the scene...beautiful views of the stunning landscape and sea with its white horses, thank you.
Another great video, what a difference with the weather, like you said Stew " Sea is bluer, foam is whiter and the sand golden" - but you forgot the "ladies are more beautiful" Many thanks for sharing. ATB
Yea we were concerned although the camp owner did check on us all in the middle of the night - I know I couldn’t do it but I am encouraging Jane to do it in a storm and film it - she ain’t having it though Cows in Ireland seem to roam a lot Thanks for watching
That really goes to show how the weather influences our perception of a place. When you started with the rain and wind it looked bleak, grey and stark.Under the sun it was totally transformed, a beautiful blue sea and golden sands. I am totally baffled by Stews accent at the start, I got a little Black Country with a tad of Leprechaun.
Yep the weather was actually how we felt which goes to show you need to see a place in all seasons - thanks for watching the accent gradually changed over the weeks lol
So glad the sun finally came out for the drone. The views there were beautiful. You certainly look like you are having a relaxing time, apart from worrying about that guy in his tent! 😮
Thanks for watching - it was a great place for a couple of days and Irish weather added to its rawness for sure - just shows you need to visit a place in different weather conditions
I stayed in Allihies, 2021, for a week, in my mazda bongo, loved it, brings back nice memories. gr8 share, amazin photography. (psst.. tip Fenit Beach Dingle Peninsula, nice beach, people swim here from early morning, & evenings parked there, & harbour master will let you use the toilets & showers for a minimum fee 2 euro)
Thanks for watching glad it brought back memories - it’s a great place and the weather extremes allowed us to see it in all conditions - we are back home now as there is a delay in producing the videos but we plan to go back again as we loved it so much so if we are in dingle we will look out for that - thanks for watching
Yes where the river met the sea you could see the current looked a bit dangerous for sure - we couldn’t believe he was in the tent - we decided we are not brave enough lol - thanks for watching
Strange at first we though place was ok then the sun came out and the place went up a few notches …. I admire anyone in tents in bad weather - although his car was next to him he was in the tent - hope you guys are well - thanks for watching
Hi Stew and Jane. Thank you for another lovely video. They are a relaxing start to each weekend! Even though I have been travelling all these areas for 70 years, I have learned so much from your commentary each week. Well done on research and presentation!👍 Don’t worry about the pronunciations. I spent the seventies working in the West Midlands and pronunciation of locations such as Loughborough, Shrewsbury, Derby, Ely etc were all new to me. I also learned that you don’t mistake Birmingham for the Black Country!!😜 Looking forward to your next episode. Tom
Lol that’s dangerous territory re the Black Country where I was born and Birmingham where my mum was born lol Glad the videos are enjoyable as that’s why we produce them first as a reminder for ourselves but then maybe to inform as well
Changeable weather again but it can't disguise the beautiful Irish landscape. Such an enjoyable trip, albeit from my rocking chair every Friday evening! ( Except when we are out in Harry's Bro lol)
look out Gordon Ramsey, you've got competition with Stew. What a hardy lot those Irish are, or maybe the guy in the tent had a heater in there. Another great video.
Well in fairness he was next to his car which is where I would of been but he stuck it out in the tent lol 😂 thanks for watching and above all commenting
Great vlog again. It's rare to see a proper gushing river at the point it actually meets the sea. Was concerned that Jane may not be able to get back out with that crumbling sand Bank. We have unfortunately been "the man in the tent"! 😁🐕🚙
Yes the sand bank was continuously eroding but I guess the tides put it back - Jane managed to get out I am happy to report Our hats go off to you in a tent
Mine workers and their families probably lives in small thatched "mudwall" cottages. Once deserted and neglected, the roof would rot off and the walls literally dissolve back into the ground in twenty or thirty years. Only a flagstone from the heart might remain.
@getawaygeese I know people who have been up there in summer months and still windy, one place has even got high bamboo style plants to try block winds from the camping. No need to apologise, I've heard worse. Looking forward to Kerry video. Really enjoying them. Ye are getting so much milage in. Well done. By the way was in the sea today,ya one of those crazy people ye see in the sea, with no wetsuits ha ha.
Thanks for watching - strange how the sun always puts a different view on a place - very special time by the little stream going in to the sea Thanks for watching hope brother to Harry is ok
Nice scenery as you were leaving the mine park up, but don't think we would get up that road...not without Karl destroying the back again anyway 🥺 Nice campsite and huge portions again, but what can I say, we're greedy too! Gorgeous horses and stunning secluded scenery. We should probably know this, but do you have a diesel heater as we kill our LPG in the cold. Not as secluded as we thought once seen with the drone, as there were a few houses dotted about, though not many at all. Still very beautiful. I bet you didn't want to leave Ireland.
That road up to the mine you may have been ok from my recollection. Ireland is generally remote but there is often the odd house although quite a few are weekend homes or holiday homes. We need to crack down on portion size lol We can’t wait to go back to be honest as we loved it so much and want to see the north which we didn’t get to Thanks a for watching
Oh answer to your heater it’s a diesel connect to the tank so no seperate tank - if you can’t get diesel you can’t drive so it’s always there and very toasty. It’s a webasto but I know you can get cheaper Chinese ones. Our lpg tank is so small but only used for cooking as fridge is electric to
What an amazing difference when the sun comes out and transforms the scene...beautiful views of the stunning landscape and sea with its white horses, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed - we live all seasons but when the sun is out and skies are blue it just blew us away
Another great video, what a difference with the weather, like you said Stew " Sea is bluer, foam is whiter and the sand golden" - but you forgot the "ladies are more beautiful" Many thanks for sharing. ATB
That goes without saying lol 😂 says he getting himself out the brown stuff 😂
haha loving your vids
Thanks for watching glad you enjoy
I'd be worried about the bloke in that tent too!
A bit rude of that cow not moooooving! 🤣

That looked a lovely beach although maybe a bit treacherous in place. That bloke was a very hardy character. Take care Gill

Such dramatic scenery with those waves and I wouldn't have fancied being in that tent, in those gales 😱

Great little museum. Looked like a good campsite. Amazing difference in the weather. Hope the guy wasn’t still in the tent!
He was actually he came out just after we took the shot - I would of been in the car 😂
Thanks for watching
@@getawaygeese nooooo. That’s bonkers!

Yes apparently several families in one dwelling at its height - must of been really hard - thanks for watching

Such a strange few days but we are glad we saw it in all weathers

@@getawaygeese I sure am,laughing here ha ha ha. It was glorious, and not one but two cold showers.
I do think you are a different breed with small gills behind the ears
What a wonderful beachside site, especially bathed in sunshine. Crazy how quickly the weather changes there! Take care x

@@getawaygeese He's very well thanks. Nearly time for him to come out of hibernation 😁
