Watching this video from Australia. My parents lived in Donegal for 20 years, have so many lovely memories of this place. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thankyou for making my day and safe travels to you. No doubt because of the covid situation it may be a long time before I return, so your videos have meant a lot to me. We still have family over there. Thankyou once again !
So glad we could show you some of Donegal. Its really nice to think of you traveling along with us from all the way over in Australia. I really hope that it isnt too long before things start to open up again and we can all travel more and see loved ones. Thank you so much for watching and your lovely message.
We loved it so much, we will have to come back. Errigal was way harder than we thought, it looked kinda small, but it is SO steep. A beautiful corner of the world
For a Donegal man living in Cornwall to hear a Cornish man praise Donegal, is a real treat. Glad you both loved the Donegal experience, it is a very special place, very much like the north coast of Cornwall. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Very sad I wasn't following you guys whilst passing through Derry-Donegal. My parents live on the beach in Inch Island (a great spot along the WAW), and would have been more than happy to host you. An incredible shell beach, British military forts, ruined castles, lime kilns and nature walks - it's worth a visit/google. If you do happen to return (in warmer months perhaps!) - I'll make sure to be on the ball, the invite is always open. Great videos guys, nice to see your homeplace represented so well by very genuine people. Safe onward travels and keep up the good work! I hope your genuinity and content continues to be reflected in a growing following and viewers!
We really want to come back, and as you say, maybe I'm warmer months next time, haha. I find it hard to see youtube changing us, haha, it's all a bit surreal to be honest. I can't believe we were "recognised" out and about 🤣 We plan on keeping up the content, feel like we have only just started, lots still to learn and places to visit
Very good editing skills 👌 Lively fast moving and love your relaxed and happy go lucky comments and banter. And the scenery is great, especially the drone bird's eye view photography. Great stuff 👏👍👌
I live just beside Donegal in Fermanagh and it's so great to see you explore Donegal, it's an amazing county! And we are truly spoilt by the scenery we have! Enjoy the rest of the Wild Atlantic Way! X
Hello from Canada. I've been to many of those same places you've visited on 3 separate visits. Donegal is as picturesque as the entirety of Ireland and the local residents are so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed your video as it brought back so many Awesome memories. Hope you've got more videos coming up about your travels throughout the Emerald Isle. I'll be watching for them. Happy Travels and Stay Safe. CHEERS

Hey thank you for watching! We are still following along the WAW now so new videos released on Sundays 5pm - we are traveling very slowly actually as there is just so much to see here! Beautiful road trip!
My wife and I are enjoying immensely your travels. Donegal is nextdoor to where we live outside a wee village south of Derry. We love campervanning also . We moved here to Northern Ireland Sept 2019 from outside The greater Vancouver area (Fort Langley)....touring Ireland we are finding it stunning as well. Keep the vlogs coming...we love them ...stay safe!!! 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇮🇪Rob n Elva
Hi guys - so glad you had such a class time in the most beautiful county in Ireland. I miss home so much and your video just gave me such a lift. The best part for me was listening to your warm and wonderful comments about our beautiful scenery and people. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your trip.
Enjoyed watching……and being a Donegal man living in England I regrettably admit to not seeing as much of my home county as you. That will change after watching this. Happy travels
Thank you for highlighting our beautiful county. Don't know if I want the world to know about it, or keep it our own secret (don't think most of my country folk even know about it!).
Hello from Birmingham. You look like you are having a great time. Donegal is Ireland’s hidden gem and you are showcasing it beautifully, thanks, you are inspiring me to think about a nice leisurely trip to Ireland
Tonight. Just started watching your adventures(in order) from episode 1.((Larne-Derry) I must have visited all of Ireland’s 32 countries over my lifetime and it is great to see you both visiting some of the same spots that I have previously visited. In my top few locations to visit, was Tory Island off the coast of Donegal . The population was only around 200 people when we visited, with the vast majority speaking Gaelic or Norwegian. It was so authentic, like being brought back in time, with the most fantastic, views and sea food served up at the only hotel on the island. If you decide to drive around a second time, I can full recommend it as a day out. !! Yesterday. Watched your Christmas Day video which was great. I’m now going to be disaplined and watch your videos in order and catch up. We had our honeymoon in West Cork so I’ll be defo interested to see do you visit some of the same places we did. I too drive a Transit but I would not dream of sleeping in it 🤣😂 so quodos to you both, braver than me that’s for sure
Just found your videos, absolutely fantastic and beautiful places. Your living the dream. I will have to do the wild Atlantic way before I retire. Thanks for all your videos energy and positivity
Recently found your UA-cam channel. My husband was born in Culdaff, County Donegal. A bit disappointed that you weren’t able to stop in Culdaff. That said, we’re really enjoying your videos! We’ll be in Ireland in March and are excited to visit some of the stops you visited! Thanks for sharing your adventures! 🍀
It's hard to visit all the spots, besides we need to leave a few spots to visit on our eventual return visit. Glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, wishing you an amazing 2022
Woo hoo! Loved the video : ) Next time you're in Donegal come to Falcarragh. Go to Batch cafe and Ballyness & Back Strand beaches. Your dog will love it (if you have one by then)
I love NI and Donegal. You guys were there us a few weeks after us. I can’t wait to get back, hopefully Easter. Thanks for sharing your trip/life … safe travels.
We have fallen in love with it to. The wild seas and windy weather especially! We will have to come back and see it in summer one day, but glad we got to see it in winter first
I’m from London and I spent my summers there too, mainly Ballyliffen and Clonmany. I’ve recently been checking out the rest of the county. Such a stunning place!

Really love the video. We loved exploring Donegal a few years back and watching your video brought back some tremendous memories. Looking forward to the rest of the videos and hopefully you will be doing a stop in our favorite of all places...the Dingle Peninsula.
@@LostInTransit There is a stunning little car park at Clougher Strand off Slea Head drive, a few miles/KMs west of Ballyferriter with a beautiful little beach and access to some great walking trails along the ocean and amazing views of the sleeping giant. Looking forward to the video!
Planning a trip to Ireland later this year on the motorbikes... just stumbled across this series/your channel. Just thought I'd say the editing in these episodes are getting better and better with each one I watch. You can tell a lot of effort goes into them. Plus adding the What3Words location reference is pure genius. Kudos! (might have to steal that idea if you don't mind!)
Hey Sam! so glad you found us :) Thank you so much for the kind words about the editing ! Tom has taught himself so we do agree they get better each week! yes of course use the what 3 words ! Its so handy actually! Tom will be pleased you find them useful as they take quite a bit of time so its great to hear you're using them :) Have an amazing trip on your bikes!!
Absolutely agree ten fold. Mate, I’m absolutely extremely wet behind the ears regarding videography… Although I feel I need to say… Your editing skills are proper job. Dreckly!!!!! Good job mucker.. both of you. Keep it up as we all love it.
Thank you for visiting Dún na nGall/Donegal. It seems to have been pretty wild during your stay. You would really need a month or more to see it properly. Please come back! The video looks great. PS. I’m originally from near An Bun Beag/Bunbeg, just a short distance from Errigal.
It was our pleasure, we absolutely loved our time there. Couldn't agree more about needing at least a month. We have been looking at the price of ruins all along the west coast, so one day who knows...
You possibly drove past my house, spent the summer painting the house and in the evening swimming at Ballymastocker beach, it was mid to high twenties though. Love your adventurous spirit, and great you visited N Ireland also.
Couldn't agree more, one of the joys of Ireland for us has been the lack of a language barrier. I think it has also helped that we have come in winter where everyone we meet is local!
Thanks xp. Yeah still learning this whole editing stuff, getting there slowly. The sour dough was so good, we ate most of it right there in the cab, haha
an awesome pub! there are lots of local ales and even a few largest around Ireland as well, but we have got very in to the Guinness, we never really drank it before we came over!
Ahhh l!!! why am I only finding out about your great channel now lol. Great watching you go through our amazing country (Northern Ireland here). Looking forward to binge watching to catch up lol. 👏👏
Excellent , i have dreamed of doing the same thing for so many years . Bless you guys for giving me the opportunity to live it through your videos . Brings a tear to my eye being that i know i will no longer be able to fulfill my dream .
Just came across your channel today. Great stuff, guys! Well edited, stunning images, pleasant soundtrack… thanks for sharing it with us! I can only imagine the huge amount of work on it. Anyway, I’m moving to Ireland (from Brazil) in 2 months and now I’m having the opportunity to admire it first hand, with you 😊 Thanks again! Wish you a great week. Cheers!
Glad we could show you Ireland before your arrival, it is so beautiful. We have even been looking at the price of ruins (who knows maybe one day). I'm pleased you're enjoying the vlogs
Thank you, pure escapism, thoroughly enjoyed that. The choice of music and the editing is genius. When my wife and i did some of the Wild Atlantic Way we were stunned by just how awesome the Irish are. Absolute legends. Stay safe.
I wish all the location's other vlogers show would use what3words, can I make suggestion? At the start of your vlog you say what they are, I'm sure people would appreciate it. Love watching your journeys.
The hangovers are gone, but I don't think it will be too long before we have to fight of a new one, haha. The waves were amazing, I'm glad we got to see the Wild Atlantic Way so wild. Thanks for watching
I think winter is the best time! It is properly wild, I mean there is a lot of wind and rain but as long as you're prepared and don't mind getting a bit cold and wet it's awesome. Everywhere is empty and the sea is so angry, best time of year to come if you ask me.
Hi Guys thanks for coming to our wee country im sure yous will agree it absolutely stunning I live in Derry and I seen your last video of yous in our city hope yous enjoyed it and will return keep safe and enjoy the emerald Isle God bless you both. CIARAN
You and Padster would love some of these pubs! They are so good, would be so fun if you came out. Hope you were watching this video from atop your birthday throne!
Hi Guys I grew up in Derry during the worst of the troubles and we used to escape to Donegal to get away from it all. It's so nice to see you in the places I used to haunt as a boy like Shrove beach. However, I'm a bit annoyed that you are suggesting Donegal can be a bit cold, wet and blowy. It's a tropical paradise! Enjoy your trip and come back soon. Best wishes Liam
Absolutely fantastic video! We MUST come to Ireland, too! 😍 Your van is really cool, looks damn cosy! Good luck on your way, we're looking forward to further videos! 🤩
Thank you for visiting our beautiful County. I believe that it is best seen in it natural state wind, storms, high seas that where it gets its name from wild Atlantic way. I am living all my life and still haven't seen it all. Enjoy the rest of your trip #wildathlanticway #truenorthtours #Donegal #donegalhasitall
we were a bit worried about coming over to Ireland for winter, but now i think it was the best decision we have made. Its not called the WILD atlantic way for nothing!
Nice Vid. We are hoping to do NI next year. We've done the ROI western side already as we've lived there. I like the logo on the Guiness. Maybe get a Grey water outlet to the outside of the van and when on car parks let it run into a bucket.
Our water set up is so basic, it's just two 25l tanks one fresh, one grey. It's never normally an issue as when the fresh water runs out the grey will be about full (minus what we drink). It's just that Isabel refilled the fresh without emptying the grey!
We just discovered your vlogs. The amount of times we stopped, thinking it would be a quiet night, in a small pub and fell out hours later 😂 And the food in the pubs is incredible. Looking forward to your next adventures
My family are from Donegal and I have a home there also, I travel from here in Scotland over there about 5 or 6 times a year. I mainly travel by motorcycle and have done the northern WAW, but need to do the southern part from Kinsale. Climbed Errigal a few times, but it is very boggy at the start as you found out, even on a dry summers day. Good footage on your video and it is wild in winter. Slieve League was empty, lucky you as it's mobbed during summer. Enjoy your journey and stay in Spiddal if you are heading down past Galway, much quieter. :)
Hello, thanks for the tip, we will be sure to check Spiddal out. That whole stretch must be amazing on a motorcycle 🌊 🏍️ 🗻 Every spot we have been stopped at has been only us. It's only when we speak to the locals that we realise how busy it is in summer
It's great on a bike as you feel part of it with the wind blowing around you and the smells. Bet you love the smell of burning turf. Just saw on your profile that you are both teachers. I worked for 39 years in the science department in secondary schools and you are making the right decision. Do it now while you can. Good luck. 👍☘️
@@irishrover63 yeah both qualified as science teachers, managed to escape early, haha. Always there if we need it later in life. I will have to get my motorcycle license one day, sounds amazing. Also the burning turf is brilliant, makes me think about people hundred of years ago smelling the same in this awesome landscape

Robert this is the sweetest message ever. Thank you so much, it really makes us want to make sure we keep up the videos.
Hi love the videos keep doing the great content 👍👍👍
Cheers Samuel, we will do our best :)
Just came across your channel today. Great stuff, guys! Well edited, stunning images, pleasant soundtrack… thanks for sharing it with us! I can only imagine the huge amount of work on it. Anyway, I’m moving to Ireland (from Brazil) in 2 months and now I’m having the opportunity to admire it first hand, with you 😊
Thanks again!
Wish you a great week.
Cheers!
Glad we could show you Ireland before your arrival, it is so beautiful. We have even been looking at the price of ruins (who knows maybe one day).
I'm pleased you're enjoying the vlogs
Fantastic ! Really enjoyed it . Thanks.
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching 😁
Awesome guys. Love the adventure around Ireland. Vans cool to 👍❤
Thanks guys! We are loving it to. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, pure escapism, thoroughly enjoyed that. The choice of music and the editing is genius. When my wife and i did some of the Wild Atlantic Way we were stunned by just how awesome the Irish are. Absolute legends. Stay safe.
Thank you so much, you are too kind.
The Irish are incredible. Everyone we have met has just been SO kind.
Thanks for watching as always.
I wish all the location's other vlogers show would use what3words, can I make suggestion? At the start of your vlog you say what they are, I'm sure people would appreciate it. Love watching your journeys.
brilliant content! just discovered your channel! keep it up
Thank you Marty!! yay great to have you with us on the channel!
Great video enjoy your travels guys
Thank you for watching Jonathan! Glad you enjoyed it
Great video. The Atlantic looked so wild during Storm Arwen, those waves were epic. Hope your hangovers ease and you both feel better very soon. x
The hangovers are gone, but I don't think it will be too long before we have to fight of a new one, haha. The waves were amazing, I'm glad we got to see the Wild Atlantic Way so wild.
Thanks for watching
Fab video. Just found your channel and WAW is on the bucket list so that was lucky.
Great video. Lovely photography. I’m definitely taking my van there in the winter! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
I think winter is the best time! It is properly wild, I mean there is a lot of wind and rain but as long as you're prepared and don't mind getting a bit cold and wet it's awesome. Everywhere is empty and the sea is so angry, best time of year to come if you ask me.
Also thanks for watching
What you guys are doing is Awesome. ❤️ absolutely love it
Thanks Thomas, glad you enjoyed it
Every now and then youtube will throw you up a gem of a channel...
So glad you're enjoying the videos. ☺️

Loving the editing! Deffo keen for an Ireland pub trip at some point!…… and as always, love the yeti showcasing 😉xx
You and Padster would love some of these pubs! They are so good, would be so fun if you came out. Hope you were watching this video from atop your birthday throne!
What a Beautiful Country
Couldn't agree more
I'm from bundoran thanks for showing how beautiful this is
Donegal did all the hard work, we just pointed the camera. A very beautiful corner of the world
Wonderful.
Thanks Harold!!
You guys are amazing. Love to you both. Xxxx
Thanks so much Martin, that so nice to hear :)
Hi Guys
I grew up in Derry during the worst of the troubles and we used to escape to Donegal to get away from it all. It's so nice to see you in the places I used to haunt as a boy like Shrove beach. However, I'm a bit annoyed that you are suggesting Donegal can be a bit cold, wet and blowy. It's a tropical paradise!
Enjoy your trip and come back soon.
Best wishes
Liam
I'm from donegal and people from down south say our beaches are amazing
Hey Geoffrey, we were taken away by Donegal! One of our favourite places so far! Just beautiful :)
Love Sleive League. Massive
Incredible, I don't think the size really comes across in the video either
We just discovered your vlogs. The amount of times we stopped, thinking it would be a quiet night, in a small pub and fell out hours later 😂 And the food in the pubs is incredible. Looking forward to your next adventures
The Irish pubs are lethal. It's never a quite night, but the best fun ever. Thanks for watching
That whole stretch must be amazing on a motorcycle 🌊 🏍️ 🗻
Every spot we have been stopped at has been only us.
This video is making me homesick!! Hope you enjoyed beautiful Donegal😊
Glad we could give you a little snapshot of home. We loved Donegal so much, so wild and beautiful
Wooo you just passed my home in Ballyshannon. Great trip but unfortunately you missed some awesome spots.
Hey Grzegorz! Thanks for watching and we’ll have to check out those spots we missed next time!!
Welcome to Ireland Isabel & Tom 🇨🇮 Hope you are fairing Storm Barra ok 💨
Thank you. It sure is windy, we have found a fairly sheltered spot so hoping we can get a bit of sleep tonight.
Thanks for watching
I've only done some of it but one day I'll have to do it all.....amazing part of the world.
I can't believe how beautiful and varied it is the entire way along. There are no ugly bits, just endless beautiful coast line
Great vlog x thank you for sharing x
Our pleasure, thanks for watching 😁
The rusty mackerel sounds like my type of pub
It's brilliant, he had a great night
Great video
Great vid guys. Hope your having fun on the WAW. Stop over in clifden and do the Sky road.
Love the tips, thank you. The Sky Road has been added to the list!
Loved this. Will be doing a week in Donegal in May.
Lucky you, i really want to come back in summer and see another side of the Irish coast!
@@LostInTransit we will be doing three and a half weeks on this trip. Have done a six week and a seven week in past years. Ireland is a must see. You will love it. My family are from County Kerry. Have second and third cousins there
Love the what 3 words location marks.
Glad you like them. I always think that people who don't know that they are will think I have lost the plot, haha
Great videos you guys 😀 glad our Irish hospitality is living up to all expectations. Can't wait to do the WAW next year ..at least we are going to Clifden after Christmas might see you there 👍 Enjoy 🇮🇪🍀🚚
The Irish hospitality is second to none. We have had the best time, and every single person we have spoken to has been so nice. We really recommend the WAW, it has been so beautiful the entire way so far. To be honest i have no idea where Clifden is, haha, i will have a google and maybe see you there!
@@LostInTransit its on the WAW 😉 far out in Connemara 😀 enjoy the Guinness in EJ Kings in the Square also go to Roundstone and Kings Bar for a pint 🍻
@@steviegraham7194 amazing, love the recommendations! I assumed it must be, haha, haven't done my research for that far ahead yet!
@@LostInTransit Also while you are out that way (around Clifden) Omey island is a must must.
