I can’t believe that you didn’t bring us to the woollen mills, Donegal is famous worldwide for there tweeds. It’s a lovely town and you did it justice ❤
Donegal truly is an amazing place! We went on a boat trip from the harbour around the bay, which is actually part of the North Atlantic. Further up is the former White Star booking office building where folk used to go in order to buy tickets on the Coffin Ships. The gent running the boat commentary told us about the famine and the huge number of unnamed folk buried in the Potato Famine burial yard. So many perished on route before they'd bought a ticket, such was the effect of the famine. An average of 30% also perished while on the Coffin Ships travelling to Canada or the USA. Really enjoying your trip!! All the best for Christmas and the New Year to you both.
Glad you found us - we have several series trips now - in the playlist you will see the south we travelled 2 years ago and the more recent north trip Merry Xmas
Enjoyed your vlog as always, thank you. You got us started on the Clonakilty Veggie pudding, and we even called into the visitor centre there after seeing it on one of your previous videos. Happy Christmas and New year to you both. Keep up the good work! Fran & Fionnuala
Donegal certainly seems like a fabulous place to visit. That was a very tasty looking hotdog. Your retail therapy was just the answer Jane. Wishing you both a very happy Festive time and great new year. 🎄💙🦋
Things seem to have changed in Donegal. Remember watching another channel a while back and it appeared that the warden was pretty anti English registered Motorhomes in that same carpark. Thank heavens now looks more welcoming 🙂🐕🚙
Stew was right, it's a Macaron, Macron is the President and a macaroon is a coconut, egg white and sugar cookie. Donegal was the place we missed on our visit to Ireland but would love to go back and visit it soon. Love your videos, they are funny, varied, honest and professional .
Donegal looks really nice, and parking looks good and ridiculously cheap. Which gives you the opportunity to put the money back into their local businesses. Well done Donegal. Have a lovely Christmas you two and great adventures in 2025. Cheers 👍 🐸
That's the car park where Mazzy and Dan the Travel Trolls got two tickets for one offence of the van overhanging the bay. Attended by two traffic wardens one Sergeant and a Garda detective! Witnessed by "Life is too short" who were there at same time. However as "little red" fitted in the bay with no overhang they weren't ticketed. They sure take camper parking seriously! Do love Donegal and more so Killybegs. Planning a break there in the new year. Waterford, Inistoige, Lismore and Cashel trip is up first next week.
Yep - saw that episode but no issues at all and as you can see a lot bigger vans there although we were out of season - but no issues and we would go again Thanks for watching
I was up in Donegal this summer for a week and I can highly recommend it. If you have a smaller campervan (we have a VW transporter) you’ll find it a lot easier to find parking spots around the country but down south No Camper and No Overnight signs are becoming more prevalent. You need to be more strategic about your locations, but it can be done. I really recommend Waterford if you’re heading there, the Copper Coast is great, and Dungarvan has a central camper park up (free) near the town centre. Inistiog is lovely and well worth a trip too. We did Donegal, The Copper Coast, Cork for a week each just by parking up in out of the way places and had no trouble.
Donegal Town is a lovely place to visit. Popular tourist spot for good reason. Regarding the ref.to Irelands Independence….Now NEEDS resistance to Globalism and the demands of the E.U.!!

Yes we had seen conflicting posts and videos - we had no issues and suspect it’s where you gave larger cans that are outside the bays
Another great video
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching

Good stuff👍 mind you if the Donegal council see your upload then it is a sert the parking price will not be the same next week. lol
I hope not / to me it’s the way it should be encouraging people into the towns unlike by us where councils get greedy

The pub was great but I would love to be there when it’s full and buzzing on a festival weekend as it was huge

We agree! - that’s how it should be - we always spend more than our budget and put it into the economy of the country we’re travelling in

@getawaygeese you did a fine job, enjoyed it.

Yes its a town and not a city.
