He's done a lot of these little sessions over this pandemic period, and I think whoever is doing the sound/engineering for these needs a shout-out too. They all sound incredible!
Special tuning, raised B strung 1990s Taylor 714. Sing it from the windows was a Rock bridge guitar standard tuning. I agree I love the early 2000s when dave played mostly Taylors!
I loathe taylors. I feel like they're the Yeti of guitar...... Buuuuuuuuuuut.....you're right. The manifested brightness of a Taylor does so well with his baritone to falsetto. I know he used the Taylor because it cuts through a band more than a Martin but when he uses the Taylor on acoustic sets I'm a big fan too. Good ear.
@@TheCentralflorida I love my taylor 714 bright indeed with a set of uncoated phosphor bronze. Throw a set of elixir polywebs on and the brightness is gone in a day or three! Played along with a Martin and they almost naturally complimented eachother. I wish I had bought the Dave signature Martin guitar back in 1999
@@0713mas i do have some bias because I'm a cowboy chords guy who just likes to sing but ill do some arpeggio sometimes. So my first "pricey " guitar was a Takamine. Which has just a muddied sound. So my ear has just fallen in live with that. Takamine.....underrated family. Haha
What about the people who binge watched Netflix and other streaming services. I was on the frontline. I also used the phrase "we're all in this together" a number of times cause I thought people would think I was helpful when I wasn't.

Singing From the Windows 10:08
Lovely. Just nice. Dave is a national treasure.
Global
I'd like to think I am too but I'm not going to force people to think that. That would be very unnational treasury of me.

absloutely
Love the stories he tells
Scary how he keeps
Getting better and better
Those taylors have a unique sound that fits him.

@@TheCentralflorida Oh I'm a campfire singer, strum bum as well and I also have a solid top Takamine G series (it's my wanna be Martin D28HD) lol
Sure am looking forward to the new Dave solo album in 2022. 19 years after Some Devil. Crazy
Class act, Mr David Matthews

Awesome as always Dave. You are the best!
FINALLY A TAYLOR
I adore you, Dave. For the first time I can't afford your concert. Super expensive after covid.
Gracias!
My grandparents raised me. Oh makes me cry like a baby now.
That rockbridge guitar sounds sic
Now we know what inspired Singing from the Windows :D

Funny seeing dave playing a taylor again..although i cant tell if its a taylor with the capo covering the name lol
Looks like a Taylor. Interesting, I think for whatever reason the 914 sounds better than the Rockbridge.
And that’s a tuner not a capo. But funny because my daughter likes to put the tuner on like a capo on my guitar.
The Taylor is specially made to raised B tuning. The equivalent of a standard tuned guitar with a capo on the 7th fret. Have a good day!
This dave guy is emphatic about voting
That’s not a Taylor, it’s a Paylor.
