Chris I will be ordering this ANNKE but with 8 Cams. I am amazed at the quality of video clearity and color. By the way your Blue Mustang is beautiful. By the way I live in West Virginia and resided here most of my life.
@@overclockersclub They advertise my FC200 as night vision but when I try to select it in the application it says the night mode is not supported and greyed out. Maybe it needs to be hooked to internet? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks again
When reviewing events normally dvrs show them on the timeline but with this system you have to click each one making it much harder, Is there any way to change it to the timeline?
Does the pvr have wifi? Or do I have to run a ethernet cable from my modem to the recorder box? Looking at getting one and putting the dvr upstairs but my modem box is downstairs...
Hi Chris. Based on your review, I was ready to get one of these units for our small business office. Unfortunately, since the unit requires a login after inactivity, it may or may not not be for me. We need constant video updates that we can monitor from the main desk, as well as recording. Any recommendations? Thanks.
Pretty good review, but this is the fourth review I've seen and still nothing about the app functionality, nor playback features when it comes to speed of playback, smoothness of playback, etc.
i just finish the programming ...now i need to delete every thing during i do programming before i sell the system to other people ..how an i delete everything in the HDD?...thanks
You did not address the thousands of false positive events that cannot be filtered out of this system. Unlike an Amazon system like Ring, it cannot be configured in a “smart motion” way. This Annke system will take every single light glisten, leaf motion and at times no motion whatsoever. So if you feel that you want a remote notification you will be bombarded by over 100 notifications per hour. I had to physically disable the remote notification feature for that reason. Also, the system has very poor replay controls. You cannot scan for events but must click on the timeline over and over at a certain time to go back and view an event. I am convinced there must be a better system that has “smart notifications” where only human motion is reported and a system that allows you to scroll through time frames rather than incessantly having to click second by second to find an event. All I can say in its defense is the setup was easy however that is far outweighed by its poor performance in filtering out “non-events” and poor playback scanning ability.
I haven't looked at the Annke system for a while, so unless they have made some firmware changes and updates, I would agree that the false positives can be problematic. I have been using cameras / NVR from Reolink and they have been improving their detection and event filtering algorithms. Not perfect, but better than a couple of years ago. The AI tech is improving and trickling down from the expensive commercial applications down to the more affordable consumer levels.
There are Apps for Android. Installed one of these a while back. The network connect can be tricky. Keep the default setting and try a few times. Once connected it will not drop out.
I'm about ready to box the thing up and send it back. You've got a jillion things to choose from and "set up". WAY more than I want or need and I can get it to do everything except work. I DO NOT want a password, but it seems to be unable to give me that choice. I finally had to power it off so as to not waste electricity. I'm hoping to get the customer service people on the phone, but they only want to work 3 hours per day and I work 11 hours per day. How's that supposed to work? Too complicated. Too hard to read the screen in some instances. =PC=
There are 100 and 150 foot cables at the Mfg website (Annke.com) in the Product/Accessories section. What I don't know is how far you can extend before the voltage drop would be a concern.
IP just means Internet Protocol. So IP cameras can work by themselves on a network. Unlike an analog or closed circuit camera, an IP camera needs no recording device to work. This system can accept up to two IP cameras via the ethernet connection. If the camera is ONVIF compliant (and most are now), it should work with this system. In the settings you can scan your network and look for any IP cameras, and then select them. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I do appreciate you replying to my questions. I am afraid the above still leaves me confused. There are 8 BNC connectors on the ANNKE DVR all marked "video in". I dont see any ethernet connections other than the one that is marked ROUTER. Are the 2 IP cameras you refer to that can access this system "wireless cameras"? That would explain it. The DVR talks to the cameras through the DVR then my LAN wireless router.
@@daocuster9270 Well you are on the right track. The IP cameras are accessed through the single ethernet connection. So the NVR has a screen that allows you to scan for IP cameras that are on your network. There can be many, but you can only select up to two. As you mention, your router will be the "traffic cop" that controls the IP addresses assigned to each camera (and any other device) on your network. An IP camera can be wireless or wired. Your router won't care. Only the BNC cameras connect directly to the DVR. I see in the video that I did not cover adding IP cameras (sorry about that). Yeah. The equipment and hardware connections are easy enough to understand. But I just want a wired system I can monitor by plugging into my laptop. Setup to recognize the cameras in the interface is what is stumping me--without internet, I have no IP address to give. Sigh.

Appreciate the video. Picked up one of their systems off of Amazon and installing it this weekend.

Very nice!! Going to order mine soon. I think it’s a very good system if you’re looking for something simple.
Way cool. Thank you. Very informative

Thanks for the very nice video. Do they have their own mobile app?
I see this was some months ago, but their Amazon page lists an app
OK maybe a crazy question. Kit comes with a CD. Is it needed for installation? instructions? is system plug & play?
Dumb question but if I don't own a computer, can I just hook it up to a monitor with a keyboard and be good?
Hello .. Good night.
congratulations for the videos.
Could you please tell me the length of the camera cable
thanks
I can't get it to show me recordings from earlier.
Does this DVR allow upload to cloud? Thanks
How do you look on earlier videos

Have you tried to add more than 10 IP CAMERAS in ip mode
My mouse won't work and can't configure settings. Does this system work on a computer monitor as well
what about an android APP? is there an officeial one?
How many days does 1tb disc last for? For lets say 4 cameras

can you set this system up just with your android phone?
Bitte sagen Sie mir, wie Sie es teilen können, um es auf dem zweiten Telefon zu sehen
can you put a microphone on that DVR?
Hi, how can you flip or rotate a image
hello brother can you make vedio how to rest password i forgot password if you have idea thanks 🙏
Do you need a hard drive in the dvr in order for the dvr to show the camera on the screen?
This unit comes with a hard drive. I’m not sure if it would function without a hard drive.
is the software for windows only? or are there alternative versions for alternative operating systems?
