Dude I’m stuck on the same boat but the guy at a Harley parts shop said the black is more expensive and it will rust faster. So idk what to do now because I wanted to keep the all blacked out theme

Watched this like 15 times, this looks better then the black one. I head the black one turns brown after a while. Is that true, ain’t trying to spend 900$ and regret It in 5 months
The black ceramic coating on most exhaust applications are high quality coatings, however the sun has a tendency to accelerate the fading process. A stainless exhaust with still change color (from silver to gold and then to blue in some cases) but they can be brought back to their original color with some simple cleaning products, while a black coated exhaust needs to be removed and re-coated.

If you go beyond the lean allowed by the footpeg (when it starts to fold up when its on the ground) the next thing that will touch is the exhaust.
But under normal cornering its not even close! The Bassani offers a lot more clearance than the stock pipe.

Looks phenomenal! Just needs a different seat, some higher risers on the bars and couldn’t hurt to do a 117 kit. But nailed the current build!

How does the smart tune pro account for the lack of the catalytic converters. I’d be willing to drop the $$$ on the Smart Tune module if I could get rid of the cat.
I'm no technician, but to my understanding the Smart Tune module is reading the 02 sensors which are before where the catalytic converter would be. The Smart Tune module is constantly taking readings and referencing them against the base map that was loaded into the Pro Street Tuner and can make on-the-fly adjustments based on changing conditions (like elevation.) It will work on pipes with or without catalytic converters.

Yes a full exhaust does void all warranties but depending on the shop they would still help you and not report it . I have seen both

This pipe is definitely loud, but not the loudest I've heard.

I haven't personally heard the new Thunderheader on an M8, but if you want loud loud you should look for something with a removable baffle like a Vance and Hines or a Two Bros. You'll be sacrificing some performance for volume, but thats up to you
The Bassani radial sweepers are about the loudest I've heard. They're 2;2 though so lose a tiny bit of performance but if volume is your thing. Me, I've ordered a Lowrider S with a full stage 3 and I'm going with the Bassani Road Rage 3 but in black, with the FP3 and Arlen Ness 65° AC plus a lot of cosmetics.

The 3 is a little shorter and has a little more upsweep than the two, and only comes in stainless.
Short shots for me, 2 into 1 doesn't look right on a Harley from my viewpoint.

What’s the difference between thoses pipes and the ones where the back header pushes forward around the crank case ?
Do you need to move the position of the stock controls for this pipe? I just picked up a 2020 Low Rider S myself and am considering this or a FAB28. Some places where I'm looking at this pipe says it doesn't work with stock mid controls. I don't think the controls are mid but they seem kind of mid-forward-ish...

@@freedom6919741 agreed about the cam but have had 3 M8s and finding the right pipes /stage 1 makes the difference. Went through several systems before finding the right package. The recording does not do those pipes justice.

The bike is near-perfect stock. Why do Harley riders think they are better engineers than the engineers who actually designed & built the motorcycle? Those pegs are for dirt bikes. To me the M8 does not sound good with an aftermarket exhaust.
Pitts S2C nobody says their engineers got it wrong. The engineers of any major manufacturer is bound by overreaching EPA regulations. The aftermarket pipes are always better for the engines anyway as the bike breathes better and maximum performance is gained.
Because a lot of R & D is from guys and company's that race or build performance parts. Harley has to comply with state and federal laws. In addition I am not sure what bikes (M8's) you have heard but the ones I know of are tuned properly and sound awesome!
