Thank you for putting this together. Just like one of the gentlemen below I watched this on silent while at work. Watching relaxed me and made me happy. That is a beautiful Lowrider S. My first bike was an FXRS Lowrider and your vlog brought back some sweet memories. Thank you.
Thanks for posting this, Motorman. We are looking into adding a fairing & windshield on my wife's XL1200C. This video makes the decision much easier.. One tid-bit: Adjusting the headlight after the install is made simple by: Turning on the light, mark the garage wall with tape (where the center of the beam hits) Then get to work on the faring install.. When time to adjust the lamp. Just make certain the bike is in the same exact spot and aim to the tape..
I am picking up my 2023 Low Rider S this Friday and i ordered this fairing and other goodies....can't wait. Great video Jerry, i'll be using your video for my fairing install and it will be a huge help. I also ride a 2018 Heritage 114 which is the polar opposite of the FXLRS so i think that is a great balance and choice for me. Thanks again for your excellent training videos. Ride Safe.
I would just like to tell you "Great Job" on ALL your videos. Some of us have been riding for 40 years. Its a lot of work to put all of these very informative training videos together. I think you do a GREAT job and I look forward to seeing your future videos. Thank you. "Be Easy"
Another nice video Jerry. Thank you. We just put the same setup on my wife’s 2021 LRS. She has the midnight crimson color, so she’s going to get the fairing painted to match. 👍😁
Excellent video literally followed step by step as far as removal and installation only tuff part is adjusting spacing of brackets spacing of the brackets
Thank you Jerry this is exactly what I needed to make that step and add a Fairing. Besides you've saved me lots of money, I was crunching numbers for wire extensions, raiser bars and all of that good stuff. With your video I realized all that is not necessary.
I just stumbled onto this video wish I would have seen it sooner. I just recently purchased my 2021 Low Rider S and as Jerry mentioned you definitely need some wind deflection! There are times when the wind is so strong here on Long Island that my rides would get down right painful. The neck strain can be unbearable. I've been looking at possible wind shield options and by far this Memphis Shades setup looks best on the Low rider. I wish they would sell that entire setup as a kit but as far as I can tell its all sold separately. Thank you for posting this video it game me much better vision on the install process.
very nice! I have one on my roadking! If you get strange whistling at higher speeds, take the time to adjust the small screws that mount the shield to the fairing.
Looking sharp Jerry. Listen, if that fairing makes you happy and adds to the quality of your life, then yes, it's worth the five and a half bills. As always, ride safe Brother.
Watching this on silent at work just to see what the fairing looks like on the bike. On my Dyna Low Rider I never really solved my wind mgmt issues. I’ll have to watch it again later with the sound.
Next thing you’ll be doing is making a bagger out of It. It’s your bike but the beauty of that bike is less is better. Beautiful fireplace I’m a fireplace guy. I live north of Chicago in Glenview where the glenview Naval Air Station was.
I know this isn't pertinent to the purpose of the video, but is the stock headlight halogen or LED? Also, kudos to Donna on the granite countertops. No disrespect, Jerry, but I sense you're more of an outdoor grill master rather than an interior decorator. 😀
I always thumbs up sir!.... Looks really nice. So you get no helmet buffeting at all?...how high above the top of the fairing roughly is your face?... My cvo road king come with a small shield that my head is completely above and I get crazy buffeting.... I had a Harley wind splitter on my fatboy and my eyes we're at the top of the shield and I got buffeting badly there also... I'm ready to give up on shields cause I can't stand the buffeting
No wind buffeting at all. I'm looking about 6 inches above the shield. By the way this is the vented shield which may be why I'm not getting a wind blast to the head area.
you do need to tighten the windshield screws with a flathead. The vibration from the bike will have you loosing a couple screws. It happened to me and I had to replace them with some screws from the hardware store. And they don't match the plastic screws that came with the fairing. And make sure you use some locking washers.

AFTER that. i will be putting this Road Warrior Fairing on and THEN a PLEX 2.0 system (that one i'm not going to do myself i never mess with batteries/power). i love this bike so glad i upgraded from an iron. ride safe brother and tell your son thank you for his service. comment left. thumbed up, subbed and ALL NOTIFICATIONS ON! you rock!
Nice addition Motorman, hey, it looks good without the fairing too...are you planning on putting some type of bags on there for maybe a rain suit and a couple of tools, just in case, you never know...
Really looks good! Harley should have styled it that way themselves. I put a full-sized (Harley) windscreen on my Deluxe and it's one of the best improvements I've made. Without it I was really getting beat up by the wind at speed.
@Rick Simpson While I out out for a ride on Monday I was thinking exactly that. My average speed went from 10 over to 15-20 over just with the windshield!
Great installation video Jerry. I have 20 LRS also and thinking about going with Memphis shades RW fairing myself with 11 inch winshield. One thing I hate about my LRS is the rear brake. Rear brake just bites the heck from the factory.

Jerry, with shroud that comes with MS and trim ring for headlight, I tried to install per instruction however, when tight at the bottom, the shroud n ring would not tight and it would not fasten

Yes to a good looking and functional fairing or windshield . I went with a National Plexi for my R90/6 and it really reduces wind fatigue.

How much of a difference does this fairing make at say 70 mph vs the stock windscreen? Thanks you
The stock wind screen doesn't block any wind. This fairing blocks about 50% of the wind at all speeds.
