My first bike was a 2020 Iron 1200, A few months into riding I came across this channel and fell in love with the Low Rider S. Fast forward three years later and I picked up my dream bike, the 2022 Low Rider S in Gunship Grey and have not regretted it once!
The key for me was the gauge on the S which is way better than the tiny digital gauge on the ST. I also prefer soft bags (Leatherpros). AND, here in the Seattle area, the ST was 4K more. I love my S in sand white pearl. Best purchase ever.
Oh yee the gage on ST digital gage is crap had it on my street Bob okay for baby chopper like that but not what you would want for this kind money. And that gage is Vin locked you void any warranty with out legal mileage oem gage game changer
Agree lot S is great I use for work ever day 30miles in bumper to bumber every day and fly right through it don't think could be as fast in traffic st faring for sure my street glide gets me stuck between cars. Having edward richi make me custom detach sissy luggage just for my lunch.
I've a friend who got a LR-S and did the opposite; he got the smaller gauge. I've a club brother who got an LR-ST & wants the bigger gauge, we're thinking of trading.
Awesome review, thanks. The Advanblack ST fairing balances things out here to me. Both are awesome options now depending on what gauges and bags you prefer.
I bought the st. I've ridden a s. The reason I bought the st was because I got saddlebags and fairing for about $2000 more. It seemed like a good deal. And then I learned the saddlebags don't hold much and now I want leather pros. And the fairing works ok but now I want the fxrt fairing because it offers more wind protection and you can add an infotainment unit and speakers. That's about another $4000 so yeah. If I had it to do over again, knowing what I know now, I'd get the S and build the bike I want.........like I'ma do now for $6000 more instead of $4000. 😊
@@cusaris6185 I went with the Klock werks fairing. I think it comes with the best hardware and there is no trimming the fairing, it’s already made for your specific bike
I bought the 2022 Low Rider St. New and love it. I put a tall boy seat and a taller windshield plus 15" rotors on the front. The motor has enough power for me. The 15" rotors make a big improvement on braking.
I tried both, and while I love the look of the ST fairing I felt there was too much wind buffeting for me at 6'2''. Ended up going with an S as a '23 run-out deal, $7000 under what I would have payed for a '23 ST (danish prices...). And I LOVE the analog tacho on the S.
I would go for the ST (if I had the money…) such a comfortable ride. Yeah I would change out the gauges right away but man what a bike. Just wish I could afford one right now
Bought my Road Glide from Seminole in ‘16. Best dealership experience that I can remember. I’ll head their way again in 3 or 4 years when it’s time to upgrade.
Coming from a YZFR1 to a Low Rider S,(2 months ago) my question is wind? What wind? I don't feel any wind. Forget the fairing, get the bags. I sense some inexperience here.
I ride my bike back and fourth to work weather permitting, all highway for about 45 minutes. Cruising speed with traffic is usually between 75-80, my LRS without a fairing gets to start hurting my back from leaning into the wind. Only longer trips at higher speed are when I have issues. I have an st fairing from advan black on the way
Just thought I would let you know that you have created a great channel...very professional, very natural and great fun. Feels like real bikers telling it as it is....Nice one
I'm 5'6" and had to change out the bars on my 2022 Lowrider S to make it a comfortable ride. Twelve inch apehangers put them in the perfect position. The stock fairing wind noise is pretty significant to the point that above 60 mph I couldn't hear my stereo. I went with the Advanblack color matched fairing which cut down the wind noise significantly and the color match was perfect.
@blockheadmoto would you say you felt a noticeable difference between the memphis shades fairing and the ST fairing? Please explain your answer. Im looking tofollow your lead and ditch the softail quarter fairing with taller windshield for the ST fairing.
I appreciate coming across this video as these are the 2 models I am looking at for my first. As a Central FL dweller, I will be sure to head the Sanford shop!
Regarding the dealers, their attitude can make or break a sale / customer. I've been to some that I would just go hang out on the weekend and shoot the breeze. Very low pressure. That's the dealer I'd buy from. The high pressure places you couldn't force me into again.
Great demo video! Your Seminole Harley demo videos were instrumental for me to buy my Fat Boy two years ago. More please! Like you said, ride them first to decide what you like. If you get a chance, go to a Harley Demo Days and try them all. I've done that twice now and still walked away knowing that the Fat Boy is what works for me best.
So I picked black. I do love black. I did 2 washes and I have swirl marks and scratches everywhere… I used micro fibers and all. I used Meguiars wax and it barley helped. Any hints to keep my bike looking like it came off the showroom floor? Or post a video on how you detail your hogs?
I have the ST and will agree the bags are very small capacity. I use them for my laptop, thermal mug, and lunch and there’s almost no space left for my rain gear. I am thinking of looking for a matching hard bag big enough to store a helmet during work.
Bros!! I totally want a road guild and I stopped by Bert’s Black Widow and talked with a salesman and sat on the ST and after seeing this review I’m totally torn! Thanks for the adding to the grief of choices 😂
Both are great bikes and it's definitely all about personal preference. Ive always slightly preferred the dxt look over the rt look, but thats likely because the Dyna scene was my introduction to "performance" esque Harleys. While I think Harley knocked the ST fairing out of the park, I still love my fxlrs and have no plans of getting rid of it.
I love my ST very much, and mine is white too. What came down to it, I wanted the fairing badly, didn't want the risk of not getting it, and then finally paying a lot to get it paint matched. The bags are awesome but I'm already getting chopped bags from nasty hogs (so great they color match). I test drove the S and road glide ST, put in an order for ST immediately after.
Great seeing Bertini back on the channel and looking for his next bike build. I had a 2020 fxlrs and I totally agree with you Michael about the gauge. Can’t wait to see your new bike build content soon. Great video as always Block. 🇺🇸
I've been researching between these 2 or a road glide for next year, I plan to ride alot so I'm thinking the ST for comfort, plus the bags for storage and the wife will occasionally ride with which is also why I am considering the road glide, really love the look of the road glide cvo st though also but that price tag 😮
"I could have tea and crumpets right now" - killing me. Great comparison video. I'd lean towards the ST, but I want gauges and the top loading bags, hate the clamshell style and offset.
I bought the FXLRS in March 2022, months before the ST showed up to the scene. First year put Memphis shades road warrior fairing and viking hard bags (stallion XL), then stage 2’d it, glad I built my own, don’t like those clam shells of two different sizes
Hi 👋, BlockHead , thank you for your, Territorial, very interesting, I am hoping to get another Softail Deuce, I had my first one for 20 years, isss . I had to sell it back in 2019/20 so I could move to France, stay safe, Ride Free, Phil from the moulin France.
I'm partial to the lowrider s, but the lowrider s I've been riding it's not normal. It's actually just like goldzilla. Mom won the shadetree surgeon FA lowrider S, so I love ripping around the 131 with the clam shell fairing
I was planning on moving to Florida from m-ASS-achusetts until i found i had a rare form of cancer. Idk if its from 35 years of being a firefighter but this shitty state does have some of the best hospitals in the country if not the world and thats ehats keeping me here for the meantime. Thats the BIGGEST Harley Davidson dealership I've ever seen! Hopefully one day I'll get the ability to make the move and if i do I'm definitely going to check out Seminole Harley Davidson whether it be for a new bike or mods. The guys seem like straight up trustworthy dudes!! Up here unless you know someone personally that works at a dealership I've heard some horror stories about people doing some performance mods and they get someone else's used parts. Mind you that was in 1989 but when i look at some reviews some of these shops are still treating people shitty. Idk if because the MOCO likes to keep dealers very spread out from one another making you have to trailer your ride there as opposed to dropping it off. I'm looking at a 2024 Breakout and I'd like to do some mods to it (still concerned about the "sumping" issue along with a couple others that have allegedly been ironed out by the MOCO) but basically the usual pipes, cam, intake, heads ( I've read theres a bunch of guys out there that do head mods either CNC or by Hand that are really good) but since ive been out of the scene for almost 30 years I'm skeptical about doing ANY of the work with maybe the exception of the stage 1 (correct me if im wrong) which I'd rather forego for something with more Oooomph and reliability. Any information /recommendations would be much appreciated ESPECIALLY if ANYONE knows of a shop in the area thats standup. Doesn't have to be a dealer vould be a private business
Was just there today with a buddy told them I was really just there to look around for the day and they helped me with everything I would go there over anywhere else
It's pretty much a No brainer I would take the ST. I am curious about the price difference also I would put the speakers in the fairing I love to irritate people with my music I'm a punk
I love my '21 FXLRS with its 131, in fact that's how I found you guys and Goldzilla. Have to say the tank mounted gauges are incredibly moronic, especially if your wearing a full face! Dual gauges like Eric's are on my list. I may have to try riding an ST to see what all the fuss about that fairing is about. Thank you guys for another great video, absolutely love your content. Maybe as y'all grow as a shop and channel you can find someone to do your social media so you can focus more on the bikes and we can still see the best damn show on UA-cam 👍 I'll do my part and send y'all a bike to build, maybe a wide tire fxdr or a Breakout. I'll email Justin when I get a plan squared away. Blockhead fam kicks a$$!
i got my 2023 LR ST.....looking at yours videos i was ready to get a White sand 2022 Fat bob...but when you mention the low rider st...i change my mind ,,, Low Rider st it is from now on!!!
I still prefer the S over the ST. the "fairing" on the S and FXDR have been plenty for me, enough that i've been able to do 500 miles in a day on my low rider s with no issue.
I’ve owned both ..sold both. If I was to chose one the low rider s with RWD Faring and fxr division bags. The ST factory bags suck especially functional wise. Also the ergonomics of the seat position with the so called mids didn’t do it for me.
That’s what I did I rode a new street bob and dyna street bob. I went with the dyna because it had that look and sound I remembered from my childhood. I never got all the Harley hype until riding the dyna
When I got my FXLRS, I wanted the ST, simply for the fairing. Wasn't in the budget for me and I've enjoyed the S. I'll figure something out for a fairing, for now the Memphis Shades is on it. But if I'd gotten the ST, I would probably use the bags on occasion, but for just cruising, they'd be off.
Definitely the ST. I bought my Low Rider S from Paul at Seminole Harley! Had it for a year, then traded it for a Low Rider ST. BIG BIG difference. I can take corners better on the ST, more confidence when accelerating fast, and obviously good storage. My back would get fatigued and sore on longer rides because you fight the wind on your chest with the Low Rider S. I drove the ST from Orlando to Miami no back problem
Ok Thank you. Iam still wondering if i will buy S or St next spring. I never ride harley, i rode my Honda Shadow 750 so Iam curious How diference in position it’l be. the difference in performance is not worth mentioning xd
I bought a new Lowrider S last year, being a chopper rider for about three decades I had an aversion for fairings so I chose the S over the ST, and living on an island , however and I have to admit some the fairings now days look pretty cool, I am looking at risers and Memphis shades road warrior, taller risers look funny with the stock fairing, I would make the same choice if I had to do it all over again
Put 12 factory 47 pull back or straight gives that old school cholo vibe. The road warrior is the best had one on my street Bob with out it street Bob is Worthless to ride. But I live at 90 on my S with baby fairing I'm 60 years old and brother won't give up the vibe for small chill.
I'm struggling to decide between these two and the streetbob... i feel like i "need" the fairings but probably don't.... as I'm on a highway like 10-15 max when I ride, and on long rides once every 2-3 months and hardly any highway.
I love my Cardo sound system. I do not need the extra weight of a 1990’s boom box. Audio system quickly dates the bike vs not being there. Remember the 8 track, then cassette, etc.
The ST blocks a lot more. At 5'9 I hardly felt any wind on my chest. I have a memphis shades with a13 inch windshield. I will buy the advan black ST fairing when it comes out. Hope this helps you.
I finally did something I been waiting and saving for and bought a brand new Road glide Limited with a 114 . I want to change out the bars foe a set of apes and then of course exhaust
the only deal breaker thing i dont like about the ST is the small digital display..(having a RGST as well i need information). is the dual gauge thing a factory option..?
Option 3 Road Glide LRST is bad ass. 117, fairing, don’t weight shit, like a RG Jr .. but the bags are small and can’t have a pizza box on the back. I would like to try the ST
Excellent Vid, Guys. Hey block .... Off topic here totally I know but I was browsing through the content lists for the .... What's missing .... And I saw something that you and the Crew might, ... want to try ..... How about a Loaded-sled pull with the top baggers from HD and Indian... down a Long parking area . Say Thunder strokes against 114's, then 117's and ...?? and well you guys fill in the blanks. Maybe start out with 500# drag-sleds and do a quarter mile pull ??? Just an idea for some content upcoming .... Stay Safe
ST is my dream bike wanted a FXRT Fairing on the OG 110 S for years, then Harley brings one out stock hell yeah, only downside for me is they are asking for 17k extra from the S to the ST in my country damn that's a big difference for what I can tell so far is just bags and the fairing. Is that correct or am I missing some major differences between these models?
No you won't get over it ontill you have both. S is better lane spliter for sure in cal that's a factor, st is good for 2 hours + rides that it in nut.
I just can’t make up my mind, I currently have a 2019 low rider standard, absolutely love it, i put on a smaller sporty windshield on it added cruise, so help me out, im ok with the 107, is it worth buying the ST or just add a few improvements to my low rider, the new improved rear shock is a simple plug and play, I can always upgrade the front suspension, I know it don’t have the inverted forks but feel replacing the forks with progressive or something will definitely help the front. I just can’t seem to decide, It’s basically the same bike , forget about the fairing, If I was to buy one without already have mine I would go with the ST and definitely ditch the factory bags, they look like shit and hate the clam shell, would definitely do what you did to goldzilla. Help me out do I start over or just add some improvements to mine???
I’ve been looking at the LRST and it even fits me well even tho I’m a sawn off. I would need to part ex my Slim which is my first HD and a dream of mine to own. Not sure I can let it go lol. Would love to own a LRST tho. Thanks for the vid.

I started with a 2020 Lowrider S. Im on a 2023 ST now. I love it.
How is the wind in comparison?
The sales guy at Harley told me the st is easier to maneuver. Is that accurate?
Awesome review, thanks. The Advanblack ST fairing balances things out here to me. Both are awesome options now depending on what gauges and bags you prefer.

You did 500 miles in a day on an FXDR?! Gobbless your chiropractor, lol
@@BlockheadMoto nah... 21 low rider s had the 500-mile days 😅 max on fxdr is 300ish in a day
Try a 500 mile day on my iron 1200 ☠️ at least i had a gauntlet fairing... my supwrglide with windshield was broke down
This S faring has a Character that out ways comfort get dam bat wing or shark bike if want tour like we do get second job if you must people.
So, Lowrider ST, built 153ci, 150lbs weight reduction and a Stage 2 Trask Turbo? I bet I beat those 600cc bikes now! 🍻🤘🏼😆
You $40k bike can probably hang with 20 year old $3k cbr600 in a straight line.
Farings have been growing on me lately. So I think I might have to go with the ST
Memphis shades fairing looks nicer too
Now you can get Advan black "ST" fairing
Definitely the ST. I bought my Low Rider S from Paul at Seminole Harley! Had it for a year, then traded it for a Low Rider ST. BIG BIG difference. I can take corners better on the ST, more confidence when accelerating fast, and obviously good storage. My back would get fatigued and sore on longer rides because you fight the wind on your chest with the Low Rider S. I drove the ST from Orlando to Miami no back problem
Which low rider s did you have?
@@matosik7010I had a 2022 S. And now have a 2023 ST
Ok Thank you. Iam still wondering if i will buy S or St next spring.
I never ride harley, i rode my Honda Shadow 750 so Iam curious How diference in position it’l be.
the difference in performance is not worth mentioning xd
@@matosik7010 it’s worth it man. Just pay the extra money and get the ST. You’ll regret getting the S. Especially if you’re coming from a metric bike.
Ok thanks dude!@@devinlamberty4604
Appreciate the feedback@@WitheBusiness
I'm struggling to decide between these two and the streetbob... i feel like i "need" the fairings but probably don't.... as I'm on a highway like 10-15 max when I ride, and on long rides once every 2-3 months and hardly any highway.
The S all the way for me, I’ll be placing an order late april for a 2024, can’t fkn wait!
I love my Cardo sound system. I do not need the extra weight of a 1990’s boom box. Audio system quickly dates the bike vs not being there. Remember the 8 track, then cassette, etc.
Advan black is coming out with a ST fairing real soon. Plus the inner fairing will be painted. They will sell a ton of them.
How are you guys communicating while riding the bikes?
How much difference in wind protection is the ST fairing compared to a Memphis shades road warrior fairing? Roughly out of 10 for both please..
The ST blocks a lot more. At 5'9 I hardly felt any wind on my chest. I have a memphis shades with a13 inch windshield. I will buy the advan black ST fairing when it comes out. Hope this helps you.
No worries..Thanks for the reply 👍
I am 5’11” and love my FXLRST, t came off of an 08 roadglide, the st is lighter and way easier to throw around.
I test rode both, then rode the pan am.. walked out with the pan am! So much more comfortable and waaay faster.
Yes! That video i want. I definitely want LR S. Gauges better than digital on bar. I like aftermarket fairing. Not LRST fairing.
Holy crap was my first impression on my test ride.
I have the same st white sand pearl n I really love it n I'm ready to put alot of miles on it
My 2017 Slim S has cruise control... I'd hope this bike would be in the 21st century. 😂🤷♂️🤘
Option 3
Road Glide
LRST is bad ass.
117, fairing, don’t weight shit, like a RG Jr ..
but the bags are small and can’t have a pizza box on the back.
I would like to try the ST
I will be happy to be a person build to build to! ❤
My issue with the 2020 s is rear shock does a real number on my back , very unforgiving. ..what's a good upgrade . Thanks
Say Thunder strokes against
114's, then 117's and ...?? and well you guys fill in the blanks.
I’m so torn between the two!! Is it just me or do the handlebars seem sideways or bent on the ST?
No you won't get over it ontill you have both. S is better lane spliter for sure in cal that's a factor, st is good for 2 hours + rides that it in nut.
I just got the Low Rider S. I didn’t want the weight of the ST. Like you I only want the front fairing for my S. I like my gauge better on the S.
Advanblack sells fairing that drop on nicely. They even make em for street bobs lol
The S seemed to shake, arms and mirrors, at highways speeds more than the ST. Is that the built is Harley vibration or attributable to wind?
Would you say this bike would be comfortable for a person who is 5 ft 5.5 in tall?
Great video I've been trying to decide
I prefer the more stripped down look of the S. Thats why I bought one! :)
While the ST fairing is very good. I would prefer the FXR fairing and the FXR division bags.
With the ST was suitable for someone 6’3”. Softails mostly are too small for me.
The advan black road glide hard bags and brackets look way better then the clam shell bags
Went and picked up bike this am. Took a ride with 2 baggers, sporty kept up fine. Nice little 20 mile first ride, parking lots don't count. Lol
I would 1000% support this dealership if I could
Watched your from video again so jelly. I got a road king and love riding.
I bought a breakout, then traded it for a low rider s. CR485 cam, HPI exhaust, OHLINS suspension, she’s a 10.
I’ve been looking at the LRST and it even fits me well even tho I’m a sawn off. I would need to part ex my Slim which is my first HD and a dream of mine to own. Not sure I can let it go lol. Would love to own a LRST tho. Thanks for the vid.
