Thanks for the comment, Greg. I am very happy with the guard, and feel they are almost a must have thing for your van if you do the outback roads.

this reminds me, there`s a job vacancy for a mudflap, you must be black, flexible and willing to travel. Apply within.

Great to hear! Are you able to advise on which industries to look at to pick up second hand conveyor belting? (in general).

Mining, the people that deliver mixed concrete, brick makers or maybe put a add on facebook or the like, I have seen old truck mudflaps used there too. I hope that helps a bit.

How did you do the shade cloth mate looks pretty tight, do you have a video for that?

First thing I must say is, mine is not really as tight as it looks. If it was quite tight it would work like a trampoline and shoot the stones back at the car. So you are after a bit of flex in it to absorb the impact. When I put mine on I used electrical ties, tied one corner then jumped to the opposite diagonal corner stretching it a bit then the other two corners, and made sure I was happy with it, then the middle ties etc. If it comes out too tight at the end push something against it overnight and it will stretch a bit. Hope that helps a bit.

OK thanks, I am just about to do something for my camper trailer, and you seem to be the only video here on UA-cam at all. Will give it a go!

+ozsamurai69 OK, hook the car on and get it as if you are reversing or turning very sharp, you can then see where the guard has to fit without hitting the car.

Yes I can, I can almost jackknife it and it does not hit. Thank you for your comment
