Awesome van guys - very envious😊 We had an instant HWS installed on our van and we went with a ‘Showermiser’ which works a treat and saves buckets of water. They only come in chrome but had it sand blasted and powder coated black to match the other plumbing. Keep an eye on the Aussies Traveller door. Thank you, that was a nice detailed walk through, safe travels guys ❤ I always get great ideas from you & your valued experience with accessories & the nice to haves, you guys rock👍
You Aussies do things right! This rig looks better engineered, both for its off-road abilities, and its overall utility than anything offered in the U.S. Of course, if it's ever offered here, I'd cringe at the price. The only critique I have is the selection of lithium ion batteries instead of the safer lithium phosphate ones.
We use Inox PTFE Food Grade Grease 30 g from Repco on the slide arms and gasket where it slides to close. Does not affect the seals. We have found 42 degrees setting on the hot water means you don't have to fiddle with cold water getting the temp right especially for a shower. Nice van well done.
Hot tip , see if you can pair a 2nd wireless reverse camera to your system and mount it inside the van so you can see real time while traveling if anything comes loose inside the van.
Just fyi. It’s a tankless water heater. Not instant. I have had 3 of them and used to sell them as well. Yes it will take a bit for the water to get warm, but once it does you could actually run it until your water or fuel supply runs out.
Just a tiny bit of advice with the triple lock on the front door door. Just be careful to make sure you always lock it. I drove with mine didn’t lock it properly and the external door came open while I was going down the freeway at 100 km and put a real nice dent and bent the door a little bit in the side of the van lesson learned😅
Ive got my eye on one of these, id like to see a trip in this down the Birdsville or Oodnadatta tracks or up through the flinders or gammon ranges, i wonder how protected all that fancy gear really is on the underside, still looks like the rocks would get to a lot of this
Great looking van, with some big changes, looking forward to see. 1. New redarc gear review. Manager30 is a bit lacking. 2. Water filtration system. 3. Awesome adventures. Thanks Tiav
1. Redarc is a 100amp manager so definitely not under gunned 👌 2. Under sink filtration and I have a setup for filling tanks I’ll show you in another vid.
Sweet. Not critiquing it, but I'm wondering why the air tank doesn't have a box or bash plate. It would suck if it or any of the lines were punctured by gravel or some road debris/shrapnel. I think my favorite is the hitch set up.
I was thinking the same; couldn't think of the proper name, but bash plate is it. I was looking more at the exposed plastic(?) tubing connected to the tank. It seems it wouldn't take much to break or snag (really rough terrain!) the tubing. Maybe braided steel piping?
America has grizzly bears, tornadoes and mountians everywhere and our campers are framed with tiny 1×2 pine boards and still costs the same as a 2 bedroom house. A lot of camp sites have a ban on campers because they can't handle the drive up or down the mountain.
it's a trip the codes over there , up in Darwin NT after Tracy the houses were single story brick bunkers built to exacting high impact tolerance . . those tolerances have laxed in the wind since & all will blow over again
Very nice…. my ATX has been shot blasted by all the dirt tracks…. just an observation…. some stone protection for the auto leveling system might be needed. That van is beautiful, well done TIAV.
Question. I like some of the upgrades. I actually make alot of parts for caravans and alot of the Cruisemaster bits. The water manifold....I like the idea , but won't all the connections be covered in bull dust thus you'll have to waste water each time to clean them. Seems like it should have been inside a box with seals.
Not a bad one. I reckon that rear roof extension might help to spoil the air flow onto the rear of the van, keeping it less dusty. Not sure why you left Sunseeker/Titanium though as IMHO they are still the cat's pyjamas.
Guys you must be absolutely happy with your new van, especially the battery system I know Justin will be happy with that, I can’t wait to see your adventures coming up this year?😊
Great upgrade guys. Looking forward to your 2024 vids. Just a suggestion, would need to put a stone guard over compressor air tank underneath van for extra protection (looks vulnerable) Cheers Rick.
Just a couple of comments 1. I assume your 200 and 300 are limited to 3.5T (GCM also allowing), so you'll keep this van down well below payload. 2. Can't believe you've never had a reverse camera. They are more essential when you live somewhere like Sydney. What I think you will like is that when travelling on multi-lane roads (or overtaking), you can now see if you have a decent gap in the vehicle you are changing lanes in front of. You can also get some idea of how much the van moves around. Much better visibility of approaching traffic than the side mirrors too. It's good that you're testing the market. Thanks TIAV. Nice to see Bec presenting again too!
Cheers mate. So the 200 has a 4.5 tonne towing capacity so we can load her right up on big trips. Looking forward to testing a camera on the van. Always keen to try new things
@@TripInAVan wow. Is that a bonus of the chop that you can completely re engineer it? As far as I know there is no way to change the GVM or tow capacity of my non chopped 200. All I have been able to do is increase the GVM to just over 4T.
Wow very nice van guys.. it has a few nice updated features that aren’t on my 2021 Trooper ie the awesome door and the starlink setup and induction cooktop, we love our Lotus Trooper and look forward to seeing your travels on YT.. cheers
You should cover the propane flexible pipes and that manifold. especially when going off road. I would be scared of rocks and pebbles hitting them and causing a leak and then the next rock or pebble hitting steel and creating a spark and BOOM ! I would still cover them if the were below the guard but since they are above the guard, there is a greater chance of being hit by rocks or debris and if you're lucky, you'll loose all your propane, if you're not lucky, you might lose your life and those of your family. Other than that, great video and great trailer or as you and the Britts call them, caravans
