- If you're looking for adventure with your caravan, you're going to want to have a way to protect it from dust and damage. Dirt roads, corrugations, off road and free camping all puts your caravan at risk to dust and damage. In this video we show you how we prepare our caravan before heading off on dusty, rocky roads.
Hi uncle jd Aunty Steph Jed Alex and Harry I miss you guys hope your having the best time of your life
Just revisited your video as we pick up our Journey Outback next week and head off on a half lap mid June. I miss you guys. I really enjoyed your travels/
Happy travels guys, Thank you so much for the travel tips. You are giving us great tips for our travels late next year. ENJOY
We just put the shower head on the floor wrapped in the bath mat
Great tips. Thanks guys. Safe travels.
Great video mate, just a tip for you about sealing the windows, apply a smear of rubber grease along the two mating surfaces of the window seal, the grease will get the dust and it saves you putting ugly looking tape on the outside all the time
Thank you for your videos, I normally put a Bulldog large paper lip on my shower hose to stop the head coming off, when I was in Tassie the local Jayco dealer showed me to how clean the gas manifold and jet on my suburban hot water service by removing the manifold including the gas jet as an assembly, one nut at the burner end and undo the gas pipe, submerse the manifold in boiling water to clean the jet for instant starts all the time from the gas hot water heater, enjoy Home Valley and El Questro
Great tip, thankyou!!
Thanks guys 👍
Thank you. Always things to learn when owning a caravan.
Sure are!
Some good hint there. Cheers Steve
Pool noodles. Genius. 🏆
Vaseline on the window seals works a treat.
That is a ripper tip! Thank you. Will give it a go.
Awesome tips guys
Good video, thank you
Just wondering why you didn't tape the front of the vents rather than unscrewing them each time . Really enjoying your blogs keep up the good work.
Worried about sticky residue afterwards! 👍 Cheers!
Did not think you were going to take that van on the gibb Don't think Jayco covers their vans for that road or do they? I will be heading up that way in Jan/Feb in my Jayco outback, it is only a 17' , might do the gibb if your van survives, please let me know what speed you do to give me an idea and your honest thoughts if it is worth risking the damage to the van as these vans are not off road vans. I think the chassis can handle it but the interior may not, anyway wish you all the best and fingers crossed. been enjoying your adventure so far.
We ended up running short on time, did the start, down to Windjana Gorge, then Tunnel Creek. We then when out to the Great Northern Highway, to a couple.of free camps then into El Questro. All went well with the van. We know two other families who took our model van through in the past month or so and all went well. We won't hesitate taking it's just short on time and would be had to rush. Good luck with your own planning and trip.
Get rid of the white cable ties. They aren’t UV resistant like the black ones.
